  So it seems like everyone is on board for this idea of putting our ball on social networking sites?
And using word of mouth like we always do, but stepping it up hardcore?
And then we need to get some more awesome banners that link back to the guild for signatures. -nod- ♥

Princess Angelishia Psycho Sabs Okay, as some of you know...actually none of you. Okays. I have a business, I make jewelry. It's currently just a website, but I've been in publications, both online and magazine. I'll see about posting a link to this guild, or maybe offering a discount to those involved in the planning? (and I think the new host should make the Facebook page, as well as choose the date ASAP.) I agree about the facebook and date. Was just offering incase no one else wanted to do it.
Also, I want links to your shop now, missy. ^^ ♥

Im not sure if this is done already or suggested it (im too lazy to read through multiple pages) but does anyone have signature things made? ya know, links and stuff we can put in our signatures to advertise the group/forum and such? if so where can i get one?? sweatdrop heart

I think that we should set up a quest/update thread for ball funds. We could keep track of the funds of the ball and update people on what's going on in rooms in said thread. We'd pu it in the charity section or community section or rp section of the forums and if every staff posted in it once a day we could be towards the top of the community section. This way people would know what's going on without having to join the guild
Or we could ask gaia to send out an announcement with the date of the ball 1 week before.
Or when we have the ball date decided we can post an update thread in the community or charity/quests/rp sections of the forums.

I think we the week before thing is perfect.. If we get approval for it.
I think that as soon as the theme is decided, we should do "teaser contests" for people to participate in with some of the theme ideas we didn't choose.
I'm sure a lot of people would donate items to the prizes.

That's okay! At least we know the sig thing is a good idea if multiple people like it, right?
And yeah, an announcement a week before might help us out a lot. ^^ Maybe we could make an information topic in the public forums and have them link to that if they agree? That's something we'll have to ask the new host about. ♥

as a branch of the signature banner/link, we can make a kind of banner(im talking about the ones you click on and they take you to a link) that can go into our profile pages.
also, i think the banner should ba animated. not like an overload of animation, but mabye we could have some thing like [EXAMPLE] if its a dectective theme, somebody in the banner can raise a magnifying glass. animated things catch peoples eyes better than a normal picture

Animation is good, but yeah it would have to be simple. ^^ I can do animations when I get my adobe suite turned back on by Adobe. I just have to send them some papers proving that I'm going to the college I say I am. ♥

I actually really like the idea of simple animation... Animated sigs tend to get more attention than otherwise, simply because they catch the eye.
I'm trying to think of other ways to advertise and failing. sad

now that you bring that up, i remember how i got sucked into gaia about three weeks ago (im a newb thats already learned the rules). i was drawn in by a catchy facebook ad. i know that you guys are gonna do a facebook page, but an ad on facebook can also work. heck it drew me in, and im usually not so prone to falling into ad's

Yeah I think I might look into ads like that. The problem is that they cost real people money, and I'm not sure how we'd handle that~ ♥

sometimes i wish that the stuff i drew could come to life, cause if the unicorns that barfed money that i drew actually existed, this would not be a problem evil
