Vera took a few steps down the main hall, then took a sharp left to a hidden staircase. She opened the door to her room, and shut it behind her. A shadowy figure grabbed her.
"Jake..." She said quietly. "What are you doing here"
"I couldn't wait to see you." he said quietly. "But I cant stay long. Once you become queen, I can come back. But until then, its against the law for us to be together."
She kissed him softly, and he was gone. A rope hung silently out the window.

Nikki looked up, fingers tapping the bedspread as she looked at the room, bigger than any room she'd seen before.

(Hold on... Just wanted to introduce his character)
Vera walked back down the steps like nothing had happened. She walked toward the front entrance of the castle, an armed guard hiding in the shadows behind her. He was always with her, but usually she didnt notice. The only time she was fully alone was when she was in her private chambers. When she arrived at the front door, two guards were carrying a very annoyed looking boy. "You must be Chase. Nice to meet you." Vera smiled. "Guards, please take him to Nikki's room. And keep an eye on those two. She cant be my twin if shes pregnant." She laughed, and walked back toward her room for a nap.

(Yay you make me happy!.... SO sick of turley rite now!) (that was random...)
"Chase!" Nikki exclaimed as he was forced through the doors by two of Vera guards, she ran to him embracing him before letting go and stepping back. " Woah.... What happened to you?" Chase asked looking at her then around the room then back at her. " Appearently I am to be a decoy for the Princess." She sighed sharply. She looked at the guards who stayed inside the room with them. Oh great...

The two guards looked at each other, nodded, and left the room. They closed the door behind hem with a soft click, and stationed themselves right outside the door.
Vera sat down on her bed, knowing he was coming back. She knew he couldn't stay long, but she needed him to come back. She felt the familiar presence behind her.

"Why a decoy?" Chase asked, taking a seat on the bed where Nikki then joined him. " She didn't say... " Nikki said, " I'm just glad your here." She kissed him on the lips. He kissed her back then pulled away, "For how long?
" He asked not wanting her to be gone for long and knowing he couldn't stay. "Three weeks at minimum." She sighed knowing the same as him.

Vera was completely wrapped around him, wishing he would never leave. A knock came from her door.
"Princess Vera, dinner is being served."
Before Vera could tell him goodbye, he was gone. Vera went to the door, told the soldier thank you, and sent him to get Nikki and Chase.
"She needs to learn the ways of the castle. We wont need the decoy in the halls, but she will still need to know for any traveling and things like that."

A knock on the door disrupted their conversation, "Dinner is Served, Miss." The soldier said as he opened the door. They followed him to the dinning room, grand and luxurious in every way, "Should I go?" Chase whispered pulling out Nikki's chair.

Vera smiled, "You may stay."She turned to Nikki. "So you like your gift? I thought you would like someone to keep you company. And dont worry about your farm, we have people taking care of it while you two are gone." She smiled, showing her kind side for once.

Chase nodded taking a seat next to Nikki, "Thank you.... So what will I have do to as a Decoy?" Nikki asked concerned about what she'd have to do as the servers began to bring out first course.

Vera thought for a second. "All you will have to do is appear in public once a day, or so. Inside the castle walls, you are free to be yourself, unless told otherwise."
