“ Isn't battling trainers why we became frontier brains? ” “ No, battling pokemon is why we became frontier brains. Battling trainers is what makes us miserable. ”
"Hold on!" Khan shouted has wrapped his arms around Loki. The Umbreon's characteristically blue-green sphere extended outwards to just barely cover Jackson and Tumbler. The Toranari's sensing the trap, immediately bolted for the jungle. The pinging noise of deflected spikes could be heard from inside the shield. Few a unlucky Toranaris were hit in the process, but none fatally injured. After they left, Loki dropped the protect. Releasing Loki from his bear hug, Khan picked up his hat that had fallen off during the entire ordeal. "They'll be back...in the meantime though, we should look for our pokeballs." Khan unwrapped a small rectangular device from his pocket. It was an emergency beacon locator. Having been with Team Snagum at one point, the Tower Tycoon understood the dangers of losing your pokemon.
Thank Hans for the save, Khan then turned to address Jackson, "If those little wolves took our pokeballs, I assume they headed for the same den. At the very least, this beacon will lead me to my pokemon. If yours aren't there we'll look for them as well."
"Anything I can do to help you boys out?" Hans asked curiously. Stringy was busily playing with the corsola cannon he had commandeered from the ocean.

Jackson Vakarian Goldenrod City Gym LeaderWater-Type"It never rains, but it pours." Tumbler popped her head and arms back out of her shell before heading over to Stringy, clearly intent on getting a Corsola cannon of her own, while Jackson nodded at Khan's plan. "Their den can't be far off, otherwise they wouldn't have been at the beach at the time they were. As for the Poke Balls, they'll probably stay intact - one of mine got hit with a sledgehammer and there wasn't even a scratch - but if they bust the lock, we'll need new capsules, otherwise our Pokemon will be coming back full size. What direction is your gizmo pointing us in?"

"Two clicks to our north, about 35 degrees from our current direction." Khan checked the instruments again just to make sure he wasn't reading it wrong. Fortunately, he was not. Moving towards the jungle, he stopped, turning around to Jackson he asked, "Between you and me we have a pistol, Tumbler, and Loki. We're gonna have to play this stealthy, okay? Follow my lead." With that said, the Tower Tycoon leaped into the air, climbing up a nearby tree like an Aimpom after a Tropius's banana.
"Loki, stay close. Be our eyes on the ground." Khan ordered his Umbreon. The Moonlight pokemon nodded running silently into the jungle's underbrush, disappearing into its foliage.
"I'll take that as a no to the help." Hans stated as he headed back towards the shoreline. Stringy in the meantime was hiding his Corsola Cannon from Tumbler, until he released the Blastoise was only curious about how it worked. Demonstrating, the Ursaring Hammer Armed the Coral Pokemon on its head, causing a barrage of spikes to be fired.

Jackson Vakarian Goldenrod City Gym LeaderWater-Type"It never rains, but it pours." Tumbler rose an eyebrow at Stringy's action, but nonetheless slammed the Corsola on the head again, producing yet another volley of spikes. Nodding appreciatively, she headed back to Jackson's side. Said Gym Leader was watching with incredulity as Khan did his best Mankey impression, knowing there was no way in hell he was going to be able to, well, ape that. Jackson shook his head, instead clambering onto Tumbler's back and grabbing on tight. She briefly considered telling her trainer he was getting fat, but instead just shook her head, smiling, as she followed on after Loki and Khan, deeper into the jungle . . .

Jackson Vakarian Goldenrod City Gym LeaderWater-Type"It never rains, but it pours." Jackson wondered briefly if Khan had any idea what 'playing it hot' would look like (many fleshy bits scattered on the ground), but decided to ignore his train of thought and answer the question as politely as he could. "Cold. Definitely cold. Which means - " He recalled Tumbler, the Blastoise no doubt tired out by her trek through the jungle; she would probably draw attention to them if she remained out, given her size and color. Unfortunate, but there it was. "When we get inside the warehouse, do we find a way out or find out what needs so much protection?"

Jackson Vakarian Goldenrod City Gym LeaderWater-Type"It never rains, but it pours." Jackson shook his head with bemusement - Khan seemed to think the Gym Leader knew what half of the gestures meant, no doubt thinking Jackson's pseudo-military outfit had some kind of personal significance. It didn't, so Vakarian simply had to guess - not that it was hard, given the path to the warehouse was hardly going to require many elaborate gestures; it was a few boxes, a door and some big a** guns. What was there to misunderstand? [[Time skip inside warehouse.]]

“ Isn't battling trainers why we became frontier brains? ” “ No, battling pokemon is why we became frontier brains. Battling trainers is what makes us miserable. ”
"RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN!." Khan shouted at the top of his lungs as he tossed a belt of pokeballs over the wooden crates to Jackson. The Tower Tycoon had already liberated his pokeballs from the warehouse, but now they had bigger problems, like escaping alive.
Now their entry was perfect. No one saw or heard them and everything was fine up until they located their pokemon. It seemed strange that the wild pokemon would bring them to this warehouse, but it was also distinctly possible that the guards found the pokeballs and chose to store them here. Problems started occurring for them when the pair had to approach the storage center, which was guarded by two men at a desk. Choosing the improvise, Khan and Jackson knocked out a couple guard and donned their uniforms. Tumbler, unfortunately, had to play prisoner as Loki, being an Umbreon, wasn't all too scary. The plan was working up until the guards started to ask questions. It played out something like this.
"Where are you taking this...thing?"
"Um...Prisoner Transfer. Cell Block 1138?" Jackson bluffed. Khan nodded in agreement. The Tower Tycoon had to admit, the Goldenrod Gym Leader wasn't a half bad liar.
"I wasn't notified of this. Give me a moment, I'll have to get this cleared." The guard them proceeded to signal for another guard to help him with the computer clearance.
Khan shot Jackson a look and winked. Nodding, the Goldenrod Gym Leader patted the Shellfish pokemon's shell twice, quickly. The Giant Water type proceeded to roar in satisfaction as the bindings (which was actually duct tape) tore into tiny pieces "Look out he's loose!" Jackson yelled in fake terror.
"He'll tear us apart!"
"Don't worry, I'll get 'im!"
The two then proceeded to knock out the two guards while Tumbler broke into the safe, liberating their pokeballs. After that an alarm went off, but Khan managed to disable the security cameras for a bit while they attempted to make a getaway.
[[I apologize for the GMing here, Gromit, but you must admit the quote is totally worth it .3.]]

Jackson Vakarian Goldenrod City Gym LeaderWater-Type"It never rains, but it pours." Jackson threw off the larger parts of the stolen uniform as they ran, able to run faster now that he was (mostly) wearing his own clothes once more. Tumbler was bringing up the rear, grumbling about Jackson and Khan's use of 'he' during their little charade, whilst Jackson caught the Ball belt, fumbling somewhat with it as they ran. A quick headcount revealed none of his comrades had gone missing, and it was with a relieved sigh that he strapped the belt back around his waist, catching up with Khan as soon as he could. "I'm guessing finding out what they're hiding here isn't part of the plan anymore!"

Jackson Vakarian Goldenrod City Gym LeaderWater-Type"It never rains, but it pours." Jackson had been a bit more cerebral about his box-opening method - he'd grabbed a nearby crowbar and pried the side of the crate open, searching around in the hay just as Khan was doing. "What makes you think I'd know?" His hand came across something - a slip of paper; he snatched it, pulling it out of the crate to inspect it in the fluorescent light of the warehouse. "Sigurdus Tech . . . don't they run the drinks vending machines? Is this an empty drinks crate or something?"

"I don't know, aren't you the smart one out of us two?" The Tower Tycoon whispered gruffly. "What the hell?" Khan nearly exclaimed as he pulled out a can of lemonade. Raising an eyebrow he turned to Jackson, "Who the hell guards canned soda goods with this much @#$%?" There was something offsetting the Tower Tycoon. Something wasn't adding up (though that was quite obvious now), but even before they opened up the crates, things just didn't make sense. The armed guards, their pokeballs being stolen by pokemon only to end up here...there was something up with this warehouse and Khan was determined to find out. However, the hiding spot of the two trainers was quickly revealed by Loki. The Umbreon's glowing rings were like beacons in the pitch black darkness. "Jeesus, Loki. Couldn't you turn them off for a minute?" The Tower Tycoon joked as he petted the Umbreon's forehead. Loki simply looked at him with a less than pleased face before darting after him as he ran away from the opened up storage box. The Tower Tycoon assumed Jackson heard the footsteps as well, but if he didn't, Khan assumed he could take care of himself.

Jackson Vakarian Goldenrod City Gym LeaderWater-Type"It never rains, but it pours." "It's good that you recognize that, but intelligence doesn't equate to omniscience. I know as much as you do about what the hell these things are doing here - all I do know is that I want out of here as soon as is humanly possible." With that said, Jackson considered their options off the island - either plane, boat or Pokemon, and given the patrols would be tighter than ever, a distraction of monumental proportions would be required if they were going to use the Grey Manta. He didn't have much time to think about it, though, the footsteps following Loki reminding him that they were hardly alone around here. He ran after Khan, his height allowing him to catch up in no time at all. "A place like this has got to have a seaplane of some sort - if we can't get the Manta going, that might be our best option."
