Without another word, you leave your post to go wandering through the festival calling her mother's name. But no such luck. The child seems to grow more desolate with each step you take. Her eyes start tearing up and you don't know how to stop her before she brings on the waterworks. What do you do?
A. Buy her some food to occupy her.

B. Take her to see a puppet show.

C. Take her to a game stall.

Just your luck, there's a kids show going on and you take her there to go see it. You arrive in the middle of the story, but that's okay, it's a story you're familiar with and you bring her up to speed. Not only that, it has a happy ending! The puppet show ends, and whatever distraction it provided is quickly gone. She's back to wanting her mother and now you haven't a clue where to go next. Now what?
A. To the security tent?

B. To the entrance?

Struck by a burst of brilliance, you decide to take her to the entrance to wait for the mother there in case she decides to leave and look outside of the festival. Upon arrival, you see men and women tearfully asking soldiers about lost companions. Perhaps others had the same idea as you. The situation is so confusing that you aren't sure how to proceed. Shrugging your shoulders, you ask the girl if she knows the way home as you are completely out of answers. She gives a small nod. But then says, “It's dark. And scary. And I don't know how to get home in the dark!” Well.

A. Offer to walk her home.

B. Continue waiting for her mother to show up.

You amuse yourself and her while waiting for the festival to die down and for everyone to go home. A crowd of people exit and at the very end is a very distraught woman walking with a bowed head. The girl is watching the crowd go by and sees the woman. She brightens up and cries, “Mama!” The woman looks up and cries. Mother and daughter have been reunited. Your captain was helping with the exit crowd, sees the scene and slaps you on the back. “Nice job,” he praises. He flicks you an object. It's a chess piece!
