Meadow blinked at her as he tried to picture what she was talking about. "I… have no idea what you said. It sounds cool, but I don't think I can picture it?" He tapped his chin in thought, face scrunched as he tried to imagine what Aurelia said. All he could picture was them running into each other though. Maybe that wasn't a good idea? "Hmmm… Maybe we shouldn't do that. I mean we've also got these, you know, knives strapped to our feet. I wouldn't want to like, kick you in the face, or pull my skate off and slice off my nose. I'm rather fond of my nose."

RP Response: "Oh...uh, well....I mean...." Aurelia thought how to show him what she was thinking, if she could. "Like we come out of our separate spins...and then we hold hands, like this..." She reached over and gripped his hands in hers firmly, trying hard to think of how to physically illustrate this. "And we both lean back like this..." She stood and leaned back using his arms for support, curving backwards just a bit. "....And we spin a little around like this with the mom-...um...momentum! That's the word..." She straightened back up and looked at him with a smile. "It sounds a little weird, yeah.....and I don't wanna hurt you on accident, either. I guess I just thought it sounded cool."

"Oh? OH! I get it! I was trying to think of like… how we would do that while spinning and doing the skate hold egg beater thing. I get it now! Actually, yours sounds a LOT better and maybe a little more fun." He wasn't ready to admit it, but he did like holding Aurelia's hands. "As long as we still end with my yellow hand holding your green, you know, to complete our rainbow. Oh… Wait a moment… we never like… decided where we would do something like that. Wasn't the point of practicing to know when we were each doing a thing, so we could do them together?"

RP Response: Aurelia smiled as Meadow finally seemed to understand what she was talking about. "Really?? Maybe we can try it towards the ending!" Now she was really getting excited about it as her partner was starting to see her vision. It hadn't even occurred to her that she hadn't let go of his hands yet...not that she really wanted to let go necessarily. "Oh....oh man, you're right. We never actually decided on that." Her tail twitched thoughtfully as she tried to figure out how they could end on a good note. "Hmm.....well, we might as well end it with a big thing or at least a great pose, right?" She sounded a little unsure.

“I didn’t fully turn away from figure skating, but I don’t do it professionally,” Eira said as Gadriel picked up his speed, pulling her along with him. “Aren’t we already friends?”
Giving him a small yet impish smile, she used the increased speed and let go of his hands. Speeding passed him while facing him, Eira suddenly launched herself into the air, pushing off the ice with her left foot. Folding her arms to her chest and pressing her wings tightly against her back, she twisted her body so that she rotated. Completing two rotations, she angled her legs so that she landed on her right foot as her arms left their folded position, her eyes shining brightly.

Round IIThe lights dim and you and your partner come to a stop in the centre of the ice. The voices of the crowd fade and silence falls over the lake. After a moment you hear the opening notes of your song and know it is time to begin. The music is... A) A grand, sweeping orchestration, that moves you as well as your skates do.
B) A full-length aria. Here’s hoping the high note won’t crack the ice.
C) Death metal. You apologise for nothing.
D) A pop song, currently topping charts on the radio. Get that crowd on its feet! You have until December 12th to respond to this prompt!

RP Response: As they moved into their starting position, Eira could feel her heart begin to pound in her chest both from nerves and excitement. The steadying presence of Klaus helped keep her calm as their song of choice began. It was probably... an unconventional choice for a skating competition but as the music started she couldn't help but grin. Very few people knew her preferences in music and Klaus not only knew but shared her taste in metal. If he wasn't made for her, she didn't know that she cared. He was the one she wanted to be with, the one who made her heart skip beats.
But right now she needed to focus on their set and getting it perfect. They had entered this for fun but it didn't mean they didn't want to win! "Let's do this!"

"Oh, maybe!" But before they could work out any more ill planned ideas, it was their turn to take to the ice. "We're on!" He was really excited and pulled Aurelia's hand and they entered the rink. They took their starting pose, leaning towards each other, looking like a rainbow before the first few notes rolled across the ice. They had chosen a death metal cover remix of the song 'somewhere over the rainbow,' which explained their choice of costume. As the notes and roared, the two of them started dancing. Meadow started to shimmy, skating backwards away from Aurelia, but hands outstretched towards her.

RP Response: Aurelia had wanted to try and figure out what pose to take at the end but their turn was up. Meadow pulled her hand and she stumbled a little before gliding into place with him, waiting for the music to start. Their choice was absolutely unapologetic as the opening chords started to come through the speakers and Meadow made the first move. Aurelia followed suit, matching his pattern as she came towards him, taking his hands before they donut-spun together and skated backwards along the perimeter of the rink in sync. Aurelia made the first jump, a simple double-axel that Meadow should mirror shortly after she did her take-off. She somehow was managing to keep her balance as she glided on one skate.

RP Response:Gadreil surpassed a smile at her words. He would like to think that they were friends. he would like to think EVERYONE was his friend but unfortunately, it doesn't always happen like that. He watched her twirl in the air. Breathless, she was beautiful and graceful and nothing like him on his clumsy little legs.

It was time now, he let out a breath calming himself. He squeezed Eiras hands tightly in his as the lights came up. Count your breath, calm yourself, you are ready you can do this. The first music of the beautiful piece Eira had chosen for them started and he knew he was ready. "Showtime!" he whispered only loud enough for his partner to hear.

Oh man, the jumps. Meadow wasn't confidant in the jumps, but Aurelia jumped on the beat and landed perfectly. Meadow jumped, but only managed one rotation and almost fell when he landed, but he kept his footing, skating after his friend. Now he just had to skate in front of her…
He spun around and picked up speed, taking Aurelia's hands again, preparing to lift her up. They'd practiced this one quite a lot. He was supposed to lift her over his head and hold her there for a few seconds, then toss her into a spin. They'd done it in rehearsal alright, landing it more often then not. He locked eyes with Aurelia and nodded. He was ready for this!

RP Response: She gripped Meadow’s hands and nodded when they locked gazes, jumping as he pulled her up and using their combined strength to swing her so he was holding her by her back, keeping her raised above him as she bent herself back in a dramatic pose for a moment while they glided down the rink for a short time. The light captured the glitter in her outfit as they moved…and now was the part that honestly scared her a little. She trusted Meadow but they were amateurs at this. She felt him drop her down a little and she turned so he could grab her waist, letting him propel her out in front of him in a spin. She did about 3 rotations before she landed on one foot, however the suddenness of the move disoriented her a bit and when she landed she felt her knee almost give out from under her. She wobbled for a second, using her arms to help regain her balance and looking up at Meadow to let him know she was ok. Heart pounding, they eased into some synchronized dance moves before their next choreographed trick.

"Hup!" He gave her a toss and watched in fascination and mild horror as she spun and stumbled, but breathed a sigh of relief that she didn't fall. He skated up to her and took her hand, dancing and spinning her around and under one arm on the ice before a sick guitar rift kicked in and Meadow started headbanging. His hair sent a spray of glitter everywhere as the brown locks flailed around. He was a little dizzy after that, but he expected that. However, actually doing this on the ice, he lost his footing, and suddenly his a** met ice. He skid a little before getting back to his feet.
