The car wasn’t staying around to watch, it jump down the moment Clara started yelling with white green colored eyed, moving at a fast walk that was not quite a run. The run came when one of the two leggers rushed it, not dropping the sandwich it dove under a piece of furniture and froze but not letting go of the sandwich at all. Ears perked at the sounds of dogs(to it) and it stayed absolutely still, staring at the legs, ready to move if someone reach out to grab it.

Clara froze hearing Lydia's howl. "Oh Gaia, no." She moaned as two dogs materialised inside the cafeteria. As soon as the animals started darting around the area and stirring up the air in the room, Clara was overcome with sneezing. As soon as she'd sneeze another seemingly more powerful sneeze would immediately follow, "Achu-AcchUU-AcHuUuUu~"
She held a tissue to her nose, her eyes were already getting puffy, that was it, she wasn't staying here any more!! She snatched up her coffee mug and dashed away from the area, her sneezing not stopping. Iniko stopped a few paces away from the furniture piece the cat dove under. Damn cats! They were so sneaky!! He dropped to his hands and knees and tried to peer underneath it, being small himself had its perks as he could see underneath easily. "Ohh kitty…. You took my food." He pouted, not really paying any heed to the sneezing or the sound of dogs, his tummy gave a loud grumble as he stared at the cat.
He knew far better than to grab for a cat, he'd been scratched up enough by the alley cats and learnt fast. He frowned at the cat then sat up a little to look around him. Could he maybe use an empty tray to slide towards the cat to make it move? He wondered to himself, or would he still get scratched up? Probably, and the cat probably wouldn't be afraid of some empty tray…
He dropped to his hands and knees again and peered back at the cat. "Share?" He asked it, as if it'd listen to him, even though that hadn’t worked with any other animal he'd lost the fight for his food with.,

Her shadowy things shouldn't have made it worse on poor Clara, right? Well..shape shifting shadows...who knew what that entailed. She had to focus on her doggies right now and trust they were following Iniko to his whim. When he crouched down in front of the couch like that and started talking to the cat underneath, the two hound pups did the same. Noses twitching. Listening to Iniko soft talk to the beast who took the food. Soon with little prompt they split up, one took the back side corner of the couch, the other mimicked and took the other - going to flank as much as possible if it tried to run. Liddie was confused on what to do other than keep the pups directed on following her new friends lead. They wouldn't move until he moved. Man that food was becoming more and more of a pain to work for. Maaan - she'd probably be put in a timeout after the allergy attack that made Miss Clara run ... ran out. Darn cats taking things that didn't belong to them...Hmph. She kept her eyes trained on the trio of sandwich rescuers as she had no place to try and help. Not anymore than she already was.

The cat stared at him with wide open eyes, his jaws firmly on the sandwich as the edges of it drag along the ground. It didn’t care but it was staring at Iniko with pure fear that expanded at the sudden noses that stuck under the furniture. A paw lashed out trying to claw at the closest nose before the shadow pups went to flank the sides. It made a growling sound deep in its throat ready to lash out at anyone trying to put their hand in range.
As for the librarian perhaps her assumption that they were made of fear made her allergies worse. The cat itself sadly would have no such deep thoughts other than to know someone was sneezing in the background.

Iniko watched the cat as it reacted to the shadow dogs noses, he was feeling pretty glad he didn’t just stick his hand under there to reach for it. He frowned as the cat started growling, “But… That was my food kitty.” He’s bottom lip wobbled as his stomach gave a well timed gurgling growl of its own, the smell of the food in the area had only made him feel hungrier.
He sat back on his bottom and brought his knees to his chin, he was small enough that even doing this he could still see under the edge of the piece of furniture the cat was hiding under and a part of his, well, now the cat's sandwich trailing on the floor. “Fine you keep it.” His wings had drooped to the ground behind him as he spoke, his bottom lip jutting out. He looked just like a small toddler on the brink of a temper tantrum, who was trying to decide if he should melt down into a puddle of tears or not.

Liddie was VERY upset the darn cat was going to win. Her hound puppies growled and howled at the creature, but it seemed like Iniko had already given up. That wasn't good at all. She could hear the sunken given up tone he had. She calmed out of her rage...shifter powers drifting away as the cat was no longer important. Really hard to tell a dog creature not to chase something that felt in its nature to chase just because it could. Liddie put her hand on the poor sad winged back and started to escort him back to the table. "It'll be alright. I'm not all that hungry, let's share my sandwich. At least we'll both have cookies! Come on. We'll get something more later.."She answered hoping he'd fall for it. Not that she was giving him much choice to head back over to the table and would start to tear the sandwich in half and give a half glance back over to Clara...

The cat’s fur was on ends as it held on tightly to the sandwich, the food mostly forgotten its mouth as it clenched down tightly. It’s full attention was on the shadow pups right outside and when they faded it rushed toward and opening to leave the room, dropping the sandwich half way when it almost tripped on it. The food wasn’t worth being food for something else!

Iniko didn’t require much encouragement to leave where he was, he even managed to gulp back his almost tears as he swallowed a few times. He nodded at first but then slowly looked up at her with wide eyes, “You’d share with me?” He looked incredibly surprised at what she said and almost like he might cry again. He blinked furiously as he looked away, trying once more not to cry, it was then that he noticed the cat nearly trip over the sandwich and then disappear out the door. He giggled at the fleeing cat, it was actually kinda funny.
He sat down and waited for Liddie to break him off some sandwich, “Fank youf.” He said as he was taking a large bite now with a cheeky grin again. His wings had perked back up, it didn’t take much to cheer him up. He wriggled happily in his seat munching away.
Clara didn’t come back for some time and by the time he had Iniko had in his hand his whole, beautiful sprinkle covered cookie. He stared at it like it was the first time he’d even held something so wonderfully colourful. It was like a rainbow of colours and he couldn’t bring himself to take his first bite even though his mouth watered for it. His cheeky grin was even bigger than before as he eyed it.When Clara came back into the room her face was a little puffy and she held a tissue in one hand instead of a coffee cup. On top of that she wasn’t alone, another person was beside her. Clara indicated towards the two children sitting together at the table. It was hard to really make out Clara's expression or what was said between the two adults from where the children were sitting.

A police officer entered, some type of feral bull with horns that needed to be carefully moved to get around the doorway. Once inside he looked at the two children then back to Clara and nodded before turning his attention back to them, crouching down at he looked at both children. “Hello, I’m officer Milano. I was told you two were lost? Is there someone who might be worried you are missing? “

The young girl was very surprised that he was going to leave the sandwich on the floor for something else to clean it. She highly doubted her wolf beasts would have wanted any of the sort so they disappeared back to where they came from. She felt like he was all out of sorts. She broke her sammich in half to the best of her ability and of course offered him half. She started to lick her fingers and tilted her head some. He had a weird smile about him now. She ate her bit, watching how he just devoured the whole half like a kind of starved animal. She was right - he must have been on his own for a while. Fending for himself..parents? Probably none like her. No one but happenstance to protect her. Liddie finished her half of the sandwich and picked up her cookie, looking at him to see if he was going to eat it. He hesitated and so she went ahead and bit into hers, chewing with a happy smile until she heard a familiar voice, just barely. Clara! She was..with someone frightful. "In..iniko..he doesn't smell fine. Wh..what do we do.."She whispered as something about the guy would have put her fur on end if she was wearing it currently. He seemed cheeky and pleasant, but she didn't trust him. "Cl-Clara knows I'm not lost..
h-h-how could she.." Liddie whispered softly, clearly not happy with the twist of words just now. Her gut told her to run. Sure he was a big bull and not at all human looking, which might be why Clara was clutching a whole lot of tissues more. How did she know this big guy was on their side? Adults just liked to question more and more than anything.. they were just a couple of rascal kids..

Iniko was just about to bite into his cookie when a bull suddenly crouched before them. He paused mouth open, cookie poised ready to chomp down on his first sprinkle cookie. The mans words seemed odd to Iniko, he wasn’t really lost, he knew he was at a library? He heard Liddie’s whispered words as he stared at the gigantic bull, cookie still waiting. It took him a few moments of thinking before he said, “Well I know I ain't lost, were in the library silly.” And then he chomped down on his cookie, “‘fee, dis *muffled* muh shistur.” He nodded as if it made sense. He chewed quietly for a moment before swallowing, “Cides, where’s your… Umm… Shiny thingy?” He flapped his uncookied hand in front of himself trying to make some obscure gesture that seemed to only make sense to him before he bit on the cookie again, omg it was sooo gooood..Clara stayed back from the table, she could see Liddie glaring at her, she knew that the kiddo would probably be mad at her for sending her friend away… But it had to be done, the little one seemed to need some kind of help and was most definitely homeless with no parental figures. She believed she'd done what's right, he'd said he'd take him somewhere safe after all...,

Oh yes, Clara mentioned one not both as he tried to give Lyddie a reassuring smile despite his appearance. There had been no one else in the area to take the call, but now he was wondering if he shouldn’t have bypassed the assignment anyways. “I am sorry, I mean your friend here. Clara was very concern about what was….said “ his smile froze and stiffen a little when he turned to Iniko, the obscene gesture quite obvious and the smile faded. Definitely should have bypassed this assignment. He pulled out his badge to show them but not have it in easy reach for it to be swiped. “What is your name? Do you have a guardian or any parents? “ he asked a little more strictly now as he was unamused with the gesture at all.

Liddie looked even more frustrated that the officer narrowed it down to Iniko needing a home or a place to go that wasn't here. She was pretty upset and would fight the officer about the badge. Though, it took her a moment to understand what Iniko was saying. She was enjoying her cookie, but stopped a moment to push the envelope. "Yeah Mr. How do we know you're with the real police?" She replied and then he showed that the badge was real and on his person. He was the real deal, joy. What were they to do? She didn't think of herself as his sister or anyone's sister. Is that what he was trying to say? That they could be siblings?! Who knew?! "He isn't lost! He's with me! What did Clara say to you? I'm not leaving without him!" She pouted after her 90 mph statement and then shoved the rest of her cookie into her mouth and crossed her arms in a super childish huff.

Iniko chewed his cookie slowly while listening to the… giant… bullman? He’d already forgotten whatever he’d said his name was. He blinked confused as the sudden change in body language, Iniko had copied a gesture he’d seen many use around the city. No one told him what these things ment, he just assumed the use of gestures through watching mostly adults talk to one another.
Iniko continued to eat his cookie as the officer reached for his badge and presented it, Iniko had absolutely no idea what he was looking at. The problem being Iniko had never actually seen a police badge before… He’d seen police show the badge to others but he never stuck around to see what happened after that……. It was indeed shiny, he eyed it trying to look suspicious of it before attempting to whisper across the table to Liddie, “What’s it say?” He pointed towards the badge the bullman held up, he had no idea how to actually read words.
He grinned as Liddie burst out, then he paused to think about what he’d been asked, and tilted his head with a cheekier grin, “Iniko… Don’t got none.” He answered truthfully with his toothy grin, he lived freely, on his terms. No one woke him in the morning.. Usually.

The officer was still looking at Iniko unhappily but turned his attention to Liddie briefly. "That is a good question you always look for.." he moved to show his Is with his badge and explained it a bit. "As for your friend he will be fine. We just need to ask him some question and see where to go from there. Clara knows we are here to help that si why she called us" he said trying to give her a encouraging smile before he looked back at Iniko and the smile faded. " No parents or guardians? " he glanced at the colorful fae and grabbed onto a hunch. "Did you ever have anyone to take care of you? "
