Somewhere between all the coughing and sneezing, Kaleb managed to bring one arm up to shield his face. It kept most of the flour away from his nose, and he didn't stir up so much with his sneezes.

When he had recovered enough to breathe properly, it was only so he could start giggling all over again at the situation. Trying to say anything intelligible at that point would have been a hopeless endevour.

Attempts to cover up his own nose only led to more coughing and sneezing seeing as the poor sitarist was covered in the white powder. Eventually the cloud had settled down a bit and Demyx managed to stop his sneezing.

He, however, did not burst out into laughter like Kaleb. Green eyes darted around, looking at the now rather messy kitchen before looking up at Kaleb worridly.

Kaleb curbed his laughter, but it was a bit of a struggle. Even as he turned to find the baking powder and continue with the recipe, his shoulders shook as he tried not to laugh.

He turned back to Demyx with a teaspoon in hand and tilted his head slightly, the motion causing more flour to fall from his hair. "Did you want to try that again?" He nearly started giggling again, but he composed himself quickly. "I'll add the baking powder, and we can clean this up while the cookies are baking."

Demyx got back to his feet and quickly added the flour before he could cause another mess. Once the flour was in, he backed away from the bowl and looked down at himself. Finally, he couldn't help but giggle at the situation.

"I wonder what the Superior would have to say about a white coat...he probably would be pretty mad at me..."

Despite the Superior being quite scary to him, the fact that he was white from head to toe was still pretty amusing.

Kaleb put one paw over his mouth to hide his own giggling as he added the baking powder and handed the bowl to Demyx to mix up. He must have looked pretty silly himself, with flour falling out of his hair every time he moved.

"The superior?" Kaleb asked curiously as he pulled out a tray to bake the cookies on. He wondered if that was some kind of military rank term or something, but he really couldn't imagine Demyx being in a military organization or anything even remotely close...

"Yeah, the Superior...his name is Xemnas, but that's his title...he's my boss..."

Demyx glanced at Kaleb, for once wearing a rather serious expression. The look in his eyes was probably enough to warn most to stay the hell away from this 'Superior'.

"But yeah...we all have titles! Mine's the Melodious Nocturne."

When Saix had told him that, he had to look up it's meaning later. Now, he rather liked it.

Kaleb deftly cut open the new bag of chocolate chips, and added a generous amount while Demyx was stirring. It might have been too much chocolate for the amount of cookie dough, but the small healer really didn't mind and he doubted Demyx did either.

He looked up curiously when Demyx mentioned his title. "That's interesting, do you play an instrument?"

"I do! I can show you later, if you'd like."

The currently white Audio swished his tail a bit, flour falling from his fur.

Kaleb pulled out an extra spoon. "I would love to hear you play. I wish I could play an instrument, but I've never had time to learn." He wore an almost wistful expression, but he blinked and it was immediately replaced with his friendly lopsided smile. "Did you want to put the cookies on the tray, or should I?"

Demyx blinked at him, noticing the wistful expression before it disappeared.

"You'll learn someday, I'm sure you will!"

The sitarist glanced at the tray before looking back to Kaleb.

"You can put the cookies on the tray."

"That's nice of you to say," Kaleb said, grinning. "I won't have time for it any time soon, there's just too much I need to learn first." The mage didn't look too miserable at having so much lined up for himself, and he wouldn't regret how he spent his time as long as he reached his goal eventually. If it was even possible. He could learn other things afterwards.

He took the stirring spoon from Demyx and used it to scoop out small amounts of cookie dough, and place them on the baking tray with help from the extra spoon he had gotten out earlier. "The dough gets kind of sticky and hard to work with," he said as he slowly filled the tray with blobs of uncooked cookie, "but with practice it's easy to get the right amount each time."

"I've never seen uncooked cookies before...but I've watched Luxord cook!"

Tail still swishing, Demyx's ears perked up as green eyes remained on the tray. Despite the powers the blonde Audio held, he still found interest in the smallest of things.

The tray quickly filled up, and Kaleb pulled on a pair of oven mitts and stuck it in the oven. Once that was done he tossed the mitts aside and set a timer.

"There, now we wait," he said cheerfully.

There was still a tiny bit of cookie dough left in the bowl, but not enough to warrant another tray of cookies. The mage took the extra spoon and stuck it in his mouth, as he handed Demyx the stirring spoon. "I bet you've never tasted uncooked cookie?" Kaleb asked brightly, the words a little muffled as he spoke around the spoon he was sucking on.

Demyx took the spoon, looking it over before sticking it in his mouth.

"mmmm....."

The little one grinned as he happily sucked on the spoon. It sure wasn't baked cookies, but the dough was nearly as good.

Kaleb finished licking off his spoon, and let Demyx finish off the cookie dough in the bowl if he wanted. Then he stopped and looked around the kitchen.

Well.

Kaleb sighed, they had managed to spread the flour everywhere. There was even a floury handprint on the refrigerator door from where he had steadied himself while coughing. It was a good thing he was a talented mage, it would have taken quite awhile to clean it all up by hand.

Taking a deep breath, the scrawny healer cast a tightly woven shield spell over the counters, floor, and refrigerator door. Any mage with a beginner level spell could do that, but it took some skill to lift the weave back up, with all the flour, and deposit the entire mess in the garbage.
