Well, sure, life begins at conception, that's a FACT, but then again, an ant is as much 'alive' as a zygote but actually quite more advanced and able. I don't see anyone making a pro-ant guild razz

I don't see anyone making a pro-ant guild razz First of all, we aren't making a guild for Pro-Ants because ants aren't human, weren't human, never will be human. Also, they suck and I believe they should all die, and stop trying to eat my computer. stare But seriously, its kinda obvious why a -human- zygote is more important to us then an ant. Its like saying that tigers are more awesome then us, so why is it you'd be punished more for killing a human then for killing a tiger? That's just hypothetical, replace 'tiger' with any animal you think is more awesome then humanity. Questions: Are you Pro-Life? Why did you join in the first place, if you are questioning the validity of the guild? No offense intended, of course, I just can't think of a nicer way to ask. ^_^;;

Sure, I'm for it! The only problem is, I think when you take it, there is a risk of it turning from a pregnancy-provention pill to an abortion pill. It works in three stages to make sure that it won't get there and begin to grow, try to prevent it from being able to grow, and then if that doesn't work, it will kill it, but I forgot how.

It works in three stages to make sure that it won't get there and begin to grow, try to prevent it from being able to grow, and then if that doesn't work, it will kill it, but I forgot how. I don't know how we are going to determine when the life starts though.... no one agrees.

An individual human's life starts at conception.
That's why it's called conception. It's the beginning.
At the moment of conception, you came into being. an egg and a sperm are not the same as you. They do not grow into a man if left alone. Once you're conceived, your human life begins. We are all a collection of cells, but that collection of cell life makes up a human person. If you take away the all the cells that form the tissue that form the organs in us, we'll die.
Same goes with an embryo. If you take away the cells it needs to live, it will die, the entire entity will die. if you leave it unchanged, it will grow into: Embryo, Fetus, Baby, Toddler, Girl/Boy, Teen, Adult, Senior Citizen.
To say that an embryo isn't alive because it doesn't have the same things as a baby would be like saying a baby isn't alive because it doesn't have the same things as an adult.

If you consider conception the start of life, then I would be less worried about the morning after pill (plan B) and more concerned with already legall and commonly used forms of contraception.

It can prevent conception, obviously, but that isn't a problem as it is not killing something already alive.

IUDs, especially ones without hormones, work primarily by making it difficult for a fertilized egg to implant. But still, if someone said to me--and it's completely legal for them to do so--give me an IUD or I'll just abort every pregnancy I get, s**t, I'd give them two.

i hear that it can cause abortions by making the uterine wall unstable or something like that, but it may be a different pill i'm thinking of. either way, it is a very slim chance of fertilization and the abortion would not be intentional. so i'm for it. better than killing a child.
