I got soap-making stuff today! My mommy and i were at michaels, and i said "I just want to see how much it costs" and we were looking at it and she said "Who were you thinking about making soap for?" and i said "well, its kinda a generic girl gift.." and she bought stuff for it. ^^ Heart molds, the soapy stuff, lavander vannilla scent and jasmin chamomile scent, and coloring in peach, seafoam grean and lilac. She also got me the felt for my girlfriends present (since it cost a total of $1)

I was tempted to do the same thing you are but I had just bought a laptop and didn't feel like spending more money would be good just that minute... redface P.S. I vote good for you.

The only problem I had was that my old laptop had a disk drive but no cd burner (or ports for a flash drive) and my new laptop doesn't have a disk drive so I had one heck of a time trying to get all of my information transferred from one computer to the other.

Well, it was a process I can tell you that. My parents bought a new computer the same day since our old one is dying a slow painful death. Of course their new one doesn't have a disk drive either but the old one still does. It also has a port that I was able to plug my flash drive into (because the computer is old it doesn't work at full speed but at least it still worked). So, I ended up putting everything from the old lappy onto a series of floppies, putting it in the old desktop, transferring to the flash drive, and then onto the new lappy. It took quite a long time but it certainly beat re-typing all of my files.

I had a project on my old lappy that I've been working on since my last year in high school (almost 5 years ago now), so I wasn't willing to ditch it. I did have to sacrifice a program that I don't have the disk for anymore...

At least I've got Christmas to look forward to! There's a couple of gifts that I just can't wait to have people open.
1 - I put together a basket for my sister that's got candles, chocolates, and two bars of goat's milk soap
and
2 - I'm in the process of making an "I Love Lupin" t-shirt for one of friends. I have the design ready, now I just need to go out and get the printer paper I need to make the iron on transfer.
I love making gifts!

Ugh. i can't believe how stuipid i am. I got grounded.... i should really learn to control my stupid teenaged impulses.... but so now i'm grounded... no internet, crafting, reading, friends or anything outside of schoolwork. The only reason i can post is that i am at the school library "working on homework". *sigh*
I like making the presents, but i like to have them done long before the season rolls around. This time of year i'm normally getting sick and i feel rushed and all kinds of stuff. At the moment all my presents are put on hold due to my stupidity... but thats cause i was stupid. sweatdrop Anywho.... *has to go now*
