hmmm our ancesters went into hiding during the witch trial and never really came back to function as a normal or mainstream religion. Befor pope innocent orderd the persicution, pagans were alloud to worship what god and goddesses the wanted at some churches in europe had 2 alters 1 for catholics and then for pagans but after the order it was chaos it will be a long road for us to become so open to not be intertwined with all of the catholic and christins heresay

It went like this for me:
Parents: Just so long as you don't get hurt honey, we'll allow this phase to pass on it's own Me: crying it's not a phase!
Cousin: Great! At least you know WHAT you are, I still have no idea what I am!
Friend: It's about time you told me! Me: wha-? Friend: Well I'm a wiccan too silly, same with one other friend of ours. Me: Hannah!? Friend: YUP! She's the healing spirit and I'm the warrior spirit do you know what you are? Me:cool, I feel more like a Gaurdian than anything else. Friend: Perfect! we HAVE to all hang out sometime, just us three. Me: yay!
(I gotta say i got lucky with my friends)

I think the funniest reaction I've ever gotten was when my friend Rose and I were manning a fire circle at girl scout camp (we were the only ones the councelors trusted with the job) over the summer, answering our councelor Nessie's questions about why we had chosen paganism, how involved we were with it, and what reactions had we run into. We had been carrying on a conversation calmly for about an hour or so, while cooking the rest of the girls' dinners, when one of the younger, blatantly ignorant girls jumped into the fire circle (without taking the proper precautions) and flat out asked us "So, if you're pagan, does that mean you jump over and dance around fires naked at festivals ?!"
At this point Nessie was laughing her head off, leaving Rose and I to try and think of a way to tactfully answer her question explaining the principles of the Beltaine festival, and those who choose to go skyclad.
I guess it hadn't helped that Rose had been showing us how to do poi all week.

You should have seen the faces of some random Jehovah's Witness peoples who came...
Not that I have anything against them, one of my friends is a JW..
But seriously, here's how it went. I was home alone, parents at work and all...
people drive up, my dogs bark
Me: "Shut up, gods damn you!!"
People knock on the door, dogs bark.
Me:"I said SHUT UP!!!"
Open the door, breathless. "hi"
JW: "Are your parents home?"
Me: "nope."
JW: "Do you think they'd mind if we gave you something to read?"
Me: "If you're trying to convert me, you're wasting your time, I'm Pagan."
JW: eek
Me: "Thanks for coming, goodbye."
Shut the door.
When my parents got home, we found out they left the pamphlets on the step anyways...
the funniest part was, I was wearing my ankh and my dragon pentacle necklaces rofl

hahahahahaha XD some JW came to my home last week. my mother was sleeping and my fatehr wasnt here so i opened and they where like
jw: hello is your...
me: sorry not interested i'm a witch...have a nice day!! *closes the door*
i said the word witch on purpose to scare them lol rofl
and also another friend of mine found out i'm a wiccan...((godd!! almost all my friends know now!! )) she saw some of my books and my tarot cards((i forgot to hide them sweatdrop ))...she saw one book...can't remember which ans she was like...
P. Emmy: "are you a witch? eek "
me: "... sweatdrop em....well...technically... em..yeap"
p. Emmy: "cool!! i knew it!!!"
me: " eek huh???"
p. Emmy: " 4laugh yea..i always knew there was something different about you...your presence is sooooo different!! i always felt safer when you where around!! and are you sure you are completely human? cause your presence is soooo different!"
me:" eek em...ok... glad you feel safe when i'm around...and as far as i know...i AM human... sweatdrop "
she was so excited!! and i was in a complete shock...that was an interesting day...

I was dual enrolled during my freshman year (that means i went to two high schools) well i was at the second school in class and i was talking to some of the upperclassmen not really think much of it and some one started saying something about their mom making them go to youth group, just normal gripping stuff and i said i don't have that problem.... and the senior there asked my why not.... i said i was wicca and next thing i know people are hugging me from all around..... apparently more then 3/4 of the people i was talking to were wicca or some other form of pagans....... I had no idea, but they were cool......... im still best friend with most of them........
My parents are a different story......... Dad's cool with it..... i guess he's pagan..... he says he believes in the earth...... Im not totally sure what that means but he lets me buy whatever books i want..... he even bought me my first set of tarot cards........... Mom........ she hates it...... she doesn't even try to understand..... one time she called me a witchy-woman... that made me laugh because i realized that she had no idea what was going on........... she doesn't want me to where my pentacle when we go to see family but i refuse to take it off...ever.....

So my sperm doner started calling again eek last week... Him and his mother are both christian... it will be interesting to see his reaction to the paganism...

I did the most awesomest thing in my English class today xd
We were looking at symbols and the teacher was picking people to go write one up on the board, and everyone else had to say what they were.
So, naturally I drew a pentacle, and everyone, as I expected, said "satanism" and the teacher shook his head and asked me to explain.
So I did. and then I laughed at their ignorance.

my mom supports me and my dad doesn't know.......he doesn't like the whole idea though......I was happy when my parents divorced(weird I know) cause then I didn't have to hide anything from him until I went to his house....
