Hide & Seek, but I can't tell you who has what. It'd ruin the movie for those who haven't seen it.
The Dream Team, if that wasn't mentioned. I haven't seen it. Just heard about it. It's about this guy who works in a sanitarium and he decides to take these guys to a ballgame. The guy ends up in the hospital after seeing a crime and then the patients run amok.
The Cell, because the murderous guy is schizophrenic. I beleive they called it "Waylon's Schizophenia," which was something made up for the movie.

dizzyjess I thought A Beautiful Mind was very good but I was less impressed with Girl Interrupted. Sure, I love the movie but I don't think it gave an accurate portrayal. If you read the book then you'll see that the characters aren't like they were in the film. Hollywood beefed them up, made them more extreme, weirder, it was almost like they wanted to take away the feautres that would make it easier for "normal" people to relate to them. The worst though in terms of innacurate portrayals was Lisa. In the book she's a bit of a handful sometimes who liked to get a reaction out of people and showed a bit of a disregard for the rules both of the ward and society but she was a sweetie really. There was no hint of the malicious murdering psychopath that's in the film. Good film nonetheless but read the book too because its way better. Donnie Darko is a good film about schizophrenia, if not a little confusing. Not an accurate portrayal of your average schizophrenic but still good. Then there's my favourite film, pi. I'm not quite sure whats wrong with him but there's definately something. Its a great film if you want lots of things to think about, it covers religion, maths, nature, the stock market, lots of things. The anguish of mental illness is pretty well presented and the soundtrack is great to boot. Pi has been my favourite movie sence i first saw it in 1998.

The bad guy in "Red Eye" (the one played by Cillian Murphy) is totally a psychpath (antisocial). Actually, a lot of bad guys in movies might be considered antisocial, or at least the particularily remorse-less ones.
I was going to mention Monk too. That guy definitely has OCD

Civet Moon I recently saw "Benny and Joon" for the first time. The woman, Joon, is "mentally ill," but her illness is not given a specific label (though by diagnostic criteria, it seems like it might be schizophrenia). I love Benny and Joon. It's one of my comfort movies. I would watch it during extreme depressive episodes with a sandwich and some tea. Heh. I agree it's probably schizophrenia. Keakealani Another one, although it's a TV series and not a movie, is "Monk" which portays OCD. Not actually knowing anyone with diagnosed OCD, I'm not sure exactly how accurate the portrayal is, but from what I've read and heard about, it seems accurate, such as having an inability to leave things half-done. He also seems quite just like a savant as he has impeccable memory and the plot of the show is that he's an ex-police detective who can solve things simply because he understands it at a much greater level than most. Well, the symptoms and severity of OCD vary greatly from person to person. I have OCD and I am NOTHING like Monk, but I have met people with OCD who are very like him. My OCD manifests as obsessive thoughts about hurting myself, without any organizational compulsions (my house would destroy Monk, heh). I have certain shower rituals, and cleanliness issues, but no germ phobia. And so on. Rei ojou-sama dizzyjess Then there's my favourite film, pi. I ADORE Pi. The creators describe the main character as having classic migraines (migraine with aura), some of which cause visual disturbances, hallucinations, etc. and a distorted view of reality. Not only do I love tons of things about the movie, I have migraines myself and totally could sympathise with the screaming pain. From the official site: http://www.pithemovie.com/migraine.htmlSome movies which I identify with in terms of my personal experience as mentally ill are Fight Club and 12 Monkeys. Those really hit on my "What's real? Who am I?" paranoias. I love watching them, though I think some people would find them triggering rather than edifying.

Does anybody else think Malik from the anime series Yu-Gi-Oh has Bipolar? They guy's soul gets trapped into a shrinking glass cube in a foggy/deadly place called the..Shadow Realm whenever his (ahem) yami takes over his body during a situation that requires a fast-paced mind. You'd have to be both blind and deaf not to figure him out. He got all those powers BEFORE he got his millenium item.

I saw Dirty Filthy Love awhile back. The main character has both OCD and Tourette's Syndrome, and even though it's also a bit of a comedy, drama, and romance, I thought it was a good movie. sweatdrop Anyone else seen it?

Prince Darialan Love I loved Donnie Darko. Great movie and I don't think he was Schizophrenic, since he really was seeing that bunny. On the other hand his behavior in HS could indicate something. "He told me to forcibly insert the love-hate lifeline card into my a**s!" -Miss Farmer. Anyone know how different the director's cut is from the original? How about Mercury Rising with Bruce Willis. The kid was autistic. Mercury Rising is not what I would call particularly accurate (one of the characters actually states that "It's not unusual for a person with Autism to be a Savant" which is total, excuse my language, bull***t; Savants are very rare).

Possibly "Hollywoodland" if I interpreted it right. I'll have to re-watch it.
The TV show Degrassi the Next Generation did a real good job with Craig's bipolar I think.

There's 'Prozac Nation' based on the book, and then there's a film based on that case study with the woman called 'Eve' - I think it's called 'The Three Faces of Eve' - who has MPD, and another one on the same theme called 'Sylvia' or Sylvie or something...

Manic (movie) Hannibal Lecter (that guy is seriously, obviously messed up in some way) Sybil (I think based on a true story about Sylvia Plath, about a woman with MPD and 16 distinct personality's) Chapter 27 (Based on the assassination of John Lennon by Mark David Chapman, a REALLY good movie, i really enjoyed it. I dont think he was really diagnosed with anything, but there must've been something ticking the wrong way in that mans head)
