Jager snarled back. "We went looking for you and my sister! She got worried sick and went after you! We got lost in the deserts and we got seperated. My mother and I were attacked by rogue lions while I was but a teenager. I could not hold them off, there were too many. I got knocked out and I only heard her scream of pain as she was dragged from me! Last I heard, Leanna was wounded severly as was I. I barely survived, no thanks to you. For all I know, she could be dead thanks you, and I do not hold my title to a lion like you who didn't care anything about the mother of his cubs. Don't even look for them, for shame!"

He stopped a moment and sniffed the air around Mika'il. There were many scents...His snarl only grew. "I knew it! After you were done with my mother, you tossed her aside and went to flirt about with other lionesses while she remained faithful to you! Ohh...how I wish to kill you..." Jager's muscles tensed, his eyes filled with rage. Oh how his mother loved this lion, he would never understand! "You act as if you did nothing wrong by her! All she was to you was your Queen and heir maker, nothing more! You could care less if she died! For her sake, I hope she is. That way, she may find peace and not worry about a worthless soul like you! She was NOTHING to you and you KNOW IT TO BE TRUE!!" Jager roared out the last part stepping closer to Mika'il. He wanted blood, and he wanted blood now! At this point, he was beyond reason. Mika'il would die by his paw and no other...nothing could stop him...well almost nothing.

Leanna stopped, her muscles burning. She was at the far end of the boarder, the empty side near the mountains. No one was there to greet her, she wasn't surprised. She came here before, to an empty pride. The magenta began to wonder why she ever came back. She was home, yes, but was it her home?

Suddenly, she heard a faint roar in the distance. Something was going on... Quietly, she walked around the boarders to the dunes near the structure. There, she saw some figures, but it was too far away. Her tail flicked, she so wanted a closer look, but risked to be seen? Leanna kept her distance for now, relying on the voices. Just what were they bickering about?

Mika'il snarled. "Kish'ya has been a member of this Pride for longer then you have been alive. I do not flirt with her. And the other female is your sister, whom I found." He sank to the ground, laying on the hot stone. "I will give you two chances to leave my Pride to cool off. To return when you are feeling more sane. Otherwise, it will not be I who falls today."

He continued to bare his teeth. "You don't care do you? You would rather have my mother dead, do you?" He snorted and proceeded to walk past Mika'il, his tail waving. "I shall see my sister and see what has become of her. You, I have seen. A worthless nothing that does not care about anything at all. You would rather live on your own than care for something that is important to you...I will not be like you, Father." He hissed out the last word through his teeth, foreclaws extended incase of need. He would have no trouble defending himself against his poor excuse of a father.

The lioness settled against the cool sand. She was tired due to her wanderings and her old wounds weren't co-operating either. Leanna sighed gently, her eyes closing, but other senses alert. She needed to be ready incase someone was to attack her. Just because she was old did not mean she was not a fighter.

Red had jumped up, teeth bared and snarls rlling from his mouth, "What that rotten..."

Kish'ya pulled ihm down with a choked wail, "Red, please..." She stood them, forcing Red to the ground, "Keep watch!" Her words weren't a command, more a plea as she descended form their hiding spot, "Mika'il..."

He was standing again, "Hey -what!? Kish'ya!" He followed after, ignoring her plea to him.

Sakhmet had been ready to insist on the cave as her father had reached the scene. But as it unfolded, it felt more and more as though her paws were rooted to the spot. Her brother -- that lion was her brother. It was admittedly a scenario that had played many times over in her mind's eye, even if the images of her lost family had long since been eroded away over the course of time. A reunion, somewhere deep down (in spite of her better judgement), that she'd longed for to this very day.

But never like this. Jager full of anger and hatred for their father, the only family she'd ever truly known, their mother quite possibly dead... the princess wasn't sure whether to be furious or devastated. Thankfully, a numb sense of shock had settled quietly into place instead.

It took her a moment to trail after Red and Kish'ya, for once, her father's orders forgotten. She couldn't hide away, not now. "Enough!" She stepped before Jager, trying her hardest to remain poised and composed. "Calm yourself -- brother. Please. Don't do something you'll come to regret." How could he stand there and say those things? Mika'il had been nothing but kind to her, had been utterly heartbroken over Jager and Leanna for so long...

Jager stopped cold at his sister's voice. Their eyes met leaving him almost broken. "Sakhmet..." He chocked gently then shook his head. "Sakhmet, how can you defend him? He did nothing to help mother and I..." The magenta stopped and sighed. "Well...I can see from your point of view what this is like...but you have to understand from mine. Mother and I were lost in the deserts looking for you and father. We got seperated...I hope the Fates are better to her then this pitiful excuse of a lion..." He stared hard at Mika'il, hate in his eyes. Snorting, he looked back at his sister.

"If this family is ever get back together, there shall be alot of work and wounds licked..." He snorted and stepped forward nuzziling Sakhmet. "Sister...I shall go look for my mother...I hope to the Fates she is still alive...for your sake. You never knew her..." The male gently sighed and began to turn only to bump into a copy of himself. He shook his head and stared in disbelief. "M-M-Mother...?"

The lioness stood before her son and daughter. Her eyes warm with emotion. Silently, she trotted over to Jager and licked his cheek, then to Sakhmet nuzziling her. The magenta lioness purred gently as she then faced Mika'il, her eyes void of emotion however. How she felt about him, was clear, but to let her emotions out would be dangerous. She had to act void of it for now until the time was right. Until things were clear...

"My son, Jager...and my daughter, Sakhmet.." She walked back to her children. "How I missed you both so.." She whispered gently licking them both affectionately. "My, Sakhmet, you've grown beautifully. And you, my Jager, such a strong, handsome boy." She chided each of her children a while before walking over to Kish'ya and Red. "I thank you for watching over my daughter and her father for me during my absense...I have alot of ground to cover, I know..." She gave them both an apologetic smile and bowed low full of respect. Lastly, she walked over to Mika'il and stared at him for a moment. "We need to talk." She said, her voice stolid.

"Yes we do." Mika's voice was even, belying nothing. And he felt almost nothing. Except betrayal. Had trusted Leanna to stay in the ruins, to look over his pride while he searched for Sakhmet. When he returned to find her gone... He had been devastated. Had looked, but couldn't go far. Not with Sakhmet and his Pride to take care of.

The tan lion gained his feet, turning to greet Kish'ya. "Everything is fine." He nuzzled her cheek. "Follow me, Leanna." The King of Desert Kindgom lead the Liger into the room he'd shown her when she'd come there the first time.

A gold lioness padded through the sands of the Desert, her calm blue eyes focused on the ruins before her. There was a Pride here. She could smell it on the wind. Where the boundries began Isis didn't know. With the sands ever changing tides, any border was quickly erased. The lioness only hoped she could find a home here.

Leanna followed, her being an emotional as well physical wreck. She winced a little at a shock of numbness in her left hind leg. Brushing it aside, she kept walking until they reached the room. She shook her head a little trying to compose herself. This room barraged too many memories for her. Finding a comfortable spot, she allowed herself to go down resting her leg. Her eyes closed for a moment as if to collect her thoughts and organize them. She was ready whenever Mika'il was...

Jager stared after them a moment, fear gripping his eyes. This wasn't going to be good, not good at all. He gave a worried glance toward Sakhmet, and a slight glare to the female his father was so fond of. Those two were enemies of his, and if they did anything of the sort to ruin his family, there would be hell to pay. Jager sniffed the wind sensing another approaching. He looked over to Sakhmet. "You smell that?" He question, his flakes waving in the slight wind. "Someone approaches...shall we go investigate?" The Desert Prince tilted his head slightly at his sister.

Kish'ya nodded to her king, and turned back from the reunited family. Red smiled at her and lad her away back to their hiding spot to relax for the rest of the day.... And maybe keep an eye on Jager just in case.

Coral eyes turned back to the lioness. He stayed silent, listening to the sound of their breath echo in the room. Muscles were still tense, expecting his son to burst in wanting his blood. "You're back." It was all that left his mouth.

She nodded gently, her eyes downcasted. "Yes..." She whispered lightly, her tail barely flicking. Her breathing slowed gently, her body tired, but she kept awake. Slowly, she turned her eyes to face him, a slight burden upon her heart.

"I didn't expect you to." He really hadn't. That she had left to escape the burden of caring for a Pride, yes. To find another male and settle down with another Pride. That was the conclusion he had come to. Forced himself to step beyond the hurt and heartache to become the King of his Pride again. Search for a Queen who would stand by his side.

"I...I left to go find you and Sakhmet...I feared you got lost in the desert storms...apparently, it was I and our son that got lost..." She sighed gently, her eyes growing distant in thought. "We went off course, and the heat was becoming unstable. We had to stop for the night...unfortunately we came upon some rogues. Jager was too young at the time so I fled with him...It was dark and apparently, they chased us into the mountains..." She breathed, re-collecting her thoughts, and letting him speak.

Mika had heard the story from Jager. "You should have stayed here. You were the Queen, it was your duty to protect this Pride when I was gone." His voice was tainted with thin betrayal. That's what he had expected when he left to find Sakhmet.

"How am I to guard a pride that was not there?" She stared into Mika's eyes, her own brimming with tears. She tried to hold back, her voice beginning to waver. "Kish'ya and Red, I could not find them. I looked for them to watch baby Jager for me while I looked for you and Sakhmet...after a moment decesion, I had to look for you. Mika'il, I could not bare losing you and our daughter..." Leanna looked away, not sure if she could gaze at him ay longer. She knew he was disgusted by her...

Feathers slapped against the sandstone floor. Anger welled up in his breast, pink eyes narrowing. "You put your son in danger." Not really his son, as he had had no hand in the raising of the male. Especially since Jager wanted his life. "Sakhmet and I were fine. You should have waited."

Leanna gave a gentle growl. "I've been going by my instincts my whole life Mika'il. It kept me alive all this time..." She stared at him as she stood, her tail and flakes bristled. "I did what I thought was right, but apparently, in the eyes of a loved one, I am a fool." She hung her head in slight shame not sure of what else to say

"If you thought it was right, it was." His voice was gentler this time. "But..." A soft sigh left his mouth. "I am forever pleased, and happy, that you were my first love, and am proud of our children." He was still Jager's father after all. "I plan on asking Kish'ya to become Queen of Desert Kindgom."

Her heart shattered at the saying. She said nothing, her mind becoming a wreck. Closing her eyes she fell, her body still save for her gentle breathing.

Mika'il said nothing, eyes falling to stare at the ground below him. It was a difficult matter now that Leanna was here. Dealing with the emotions. He hurt to see her hurt. The Pride was more important. He needed to protect them, his daughter, the future members. "I'm sorry."

Gaining herself, she shook her head. "No..do not be sorry. You have others to look after, more important than your heart. I wish you and Kish'ya happiness. Do not bother to to call on me, however. I will not be there...Good-Bye, Desert King." Turning, she walked without looking back. Only to fall due to weakness. She hadn't eaten, nor drank, it was taking a toll on her body. "Jager..." She whispered gently before passing out. There was nothing else here for her. Her heart had been shattered, life over. Her cubs were grown, lost love to another. She succumbed to the darkness now.

His ears flicked. He turned staring at his mother's form. "Mother!" He called and ran after her. Nuzziling her gently, he grabbed her gently by the scruff and pulled her on his back. Glaring at the cave, he roared. "Mika'il! By my life, I shall have your blood!" He snarled then turned beginning to run away from the pride, eyes filled with unshed tears. How could he do that to his family? He roared yet again disappearing over the dunes, vowing to never let his mother return to this heartache. But he would...for his mother.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 01, 2007 6:17 pm

Kish'ya watched Jager flee from the lands, his mother upon his back. So... she was gone.

Red nuzzled Kish'ya, "Don't even think about it. Don't do it to yourself." He laughed, "If you become so desperate, at least ask me and not him. It isn't your place."

Kish'ya batted him away, "Bah, don't talk like that. It would be weird..."

Red huffed, "Oh, and that wouldn't?"

Kish'ya shrugged, but her mind was still on the words Jager had shouted to her king...

The pinkish male padded out of the large room. In time to hear Jager's parting words. They garnered no real attention.

A ear flicked as he turned to Red and Kish'ya. "Kish'ya, may I speak to you in private?"

Isis stopped when a male blew past. "What-?" She blinked but shook her head. Continued on until her paws fell on sandstone. "Hello?"
PostPosted: Mon Jan 01, 2007 7:36 pm

Kish'ya looked up almost too quickly at Mika'il's words, and red nudged her to go. she padded slowly over to him, head low, "Yes...?"

He smiled softly. "You're not in trouble." The King led her up to the ledge she and Red had occupied. Took a seat there, looking out over his lands. "The Pride has been Queenless for a long while now. I didn't accept Leanna back as Queen." The reasons why he didn't stayed quiet.

"I would like to ask you, if you would be my Queen."
