He looked at Kaleb and raised a brow. "They ment that you must be the newest pretty boy that Rufus' picked up to ******** in his time off." He laughed slightly. "They are wrong, but i can see where they got the impression"

Kaleb's eyes widened once comprehension sank in, and he blushed brightly. He couldn't even find any words to express himself for a good minute, and had to settle for compulsively adjusting his glasses.

"S-sorry," Kaleb stammered, knowing it wasn't possible to just will away his blushing. Once the first lady had mentioned it, the others had been so quick to agree. "B-but you said Rufus liked pretty boys." He protested, adjusting his glasses again.

That statement left Kaleb completely silenced and blushing again, he certainly hadn't considered his looks to fall within the pretty category. He had once been told he had pretty eyes, but he didn't generalize that to the rest of his appearance.

He expected that Kaleb hadn't considered himself to be pretty and it was rather amusing. Reno would have probably had something colorful to add to that were he not in the middle of gaggle of women.

Being told people thought he was pretty and sleeping with his boss was a lot for Kaleb to handle, but somehow he managed to put on a serious face despite the blush that still lingered across his muzzle. "I-Is that why Rufus noticed me?"

Kaleb shook his head, of course Rufus wasn't an idiot. "I just don't see why he wanted me, really," the mage said, self-consiously brushing an imaginary piece of dust off his jacket. He figured there were always other healers more... suited to the job. Healers that wouldn't get nightmares from mild violence, or faint at the sight of blood.

Kaleb nodded, but he didn't look entirely satisfied. He certainly didn't have the courage to ask Rufus why he had been hired instead of someone made of tougher stuff. He shifted his weight from one leg to the other as he noticed he felt a little thirsty, but he couldn't see anything that didn't look suspiciously alcoholic. "You've worked with Rufus for a long time?" he asked quietly.
