shimmercat The male growled as the female blue hit his head. He reached out and raked his claws down the front of her body, then twisted and grabbed her wrist that held the club. He snapped it without much effort.
His mind was clouding a little, and his limbs felt heavy, but he could still kill.((Reet can and will kill Calliope right now unless you get her out of here. He is slightly drugged from Mayumi's arrows, but he's still much stronger than Calliope. ))

Landing on the ground and needing time to recover. Mayumi hears the scuffle between the two blues. Warring between saving Calliope and injuring Reet. She quickly tries to aim and arrow for Reet's shoulder.
Gaining his attention she screams, "Please Dad stop that's Calliope."
Hoping against hope that he hears the plea in his fogged up brain.

The blue male hissed as the female launched herself into the air and escaped, pelting him with hard objects. He crouched to follow her when he heard the brown shout behind him.
"Dad!" She said. She called him dad. The blue shook his head, and the little foggy corner that was protesting him hurting the brown grew stronger. But not strong enough.
The male twisted his body toward the brown, and swept in for the attack.

Mayumi aims arrow to graze Reet on the shoulder. Hoping it will slow him down. "Dad stop I don't want to hurt you!" she screams as she lets arrow loose.

The arrow lodged in the top of the blue's deltoid. He didn't stop, his claws reaching out and opening a shallow gash in the brown's chest. Then he stumbled past her as the drug reached his brain. He sat down suddenly in the muck, his back to his prey, and shook his head, trying to clear the unnatural fog that had been trying to creep up on him for awhile, that was now so strong. He blinked and shook his head again. It took so much effort to move his arms and legs, even his tail felt like stone. He swayed back and forth.
So close.... he had been so close...
He turned slowly and blinked at the brown dragon, growling low in his throat. He stumbled to his feet to attack again.

Mayumi realizing that the drug was not having a strong enough affect on the adrenaline charged Reet decides that with her current injuries and not wanting to trully harm her father a retreat maybe in order. She puts all her efforts into flying towards the dead woods.  --Continues in the Dead Woods--

The blue blinked slowly as the brown flew away. He crouched and tried to take off after her, but he couldn't get his wings to work right. He settled into a ball in the muck and squinted at the world around him. His prey kept getting away...
But now he knew what he was supposed to do. He needed to kill all the dragons. When he woke up, he would start. He would kill all the dragons. He just had to find where they all came from.
He closed his eyes.

They'd come to the end of the jungle stretch before they'd take the hug around the mountain, over the swamp, calling for Reet. Sunday noticed something when they passed the waterhole.
"He's been killing animals," the more practical side of her mind thought of coming back to salvage Reet's many kills, but finding the killer took priority at this time.
((Someone else can find him, if shim doesn't decide to have him wake up before then. I'll tell all of you this much. The killing intent wearing off doesn't leave a dragon's memory even when its effects are gone. Although it's possible that the sickness has changed or screwed up some because it's been so long, the dragons who killed remembered everything when they left their old valley.))

The blue rose, mud dripping from his hair and wings. He blinked it out of his eyes, and tried to regain control of his body. The remains of the drug were still slowing his blood.
He remembered that the blue female had flown south, and had come from the south. Something inside him told him that his objective lay to the south. He had to head to higher ground. He could see the mountains in the distance, and that was where his prey was now.
His drive was increasing, even though much of his energy was gone. He trotted past tracks and trails of animals that would have distracted him yesterday. He was heading straight for the mountains, now.

((I had expected the others to take their chance to get in on this, but it's been a full two days, so I'll just take it from here and hope they show up.))
Sunday sighted the blue soon after passing the line of trees, slinking low, covered in muck and blood, still wearing his cone.
"Anyone bring rope?" Sunday asked, almost casually, as she dove downward, her size and weight favouring speed over silence as she came in on what she believed to be a blind spot, reaching out with both huge hands. She intended to have Reet by both wrists and pin him face-down. Perhaps he could answer for his actions still.

Xiaoli Sunday dove downward, her size and weight favouring speed over silence ((Gah!! All objects falling under gravity experience the same accelleration, regardless of their mass. If anything, her size would create air resistance and slow her down, but her mass wouldn't do anything. stressed Sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine, but its minor.[/physics major]))

Roan was crouched low to the ground, observing the blue as it moved past. Hmph. She didn't know why Sunday bothered asking for rope - they should just kill him.
Despite what her thoughts may have been, Roan followed Sunday's lead and pounced at the blue dragon - aiming lower and reaching out to ensnare Reet's ankles.

((I do recall that factor, and concede the point for the manner in which I used the description. ^^; I suppose it would apply if it weren't a completely vertical drop, and FD wings propell more than they glide.))

The blue heard the other dragons before he could see or smell them. The sound of wings from behind. He whirled just in time for the large gold to smack him in the face.
He recovered quickly and snarled, fearlessly diving for the gold's jugular. He missed the red who grabbed his ankle until she already had ahold of them, so he lashed his tail at her face.
