Where to, miladies? De'carn asked, unable to stop himself from smiling at his handiwork. Brilliant, it was, and this was him feeling modest. He would accompany them until he felt urgent need to leave. Surely someone must have seen the non-red fire wyrm.

Sybrant thought for a moment. That was a good question. To where were they to go-- Sybrant blinked, her limbs trembling slightly. A pulsation? Here? It seemed so familar, like to what had been calling her a long time ago.. Another pulsation coursed around her, and she got a good feel of where it originated. North-east, towards the city? It seemed odd, though there was no doubt about it. It was stronger pulsations then before, like it's call becoming more desperate.
We head towards the city. Sybrant broadcasted to the two of them, starting to move in the direction of the pulsations.

Very well, lady Sybrant. He followed after her, not all that eager to reenter the jungle of trees and thorns, but whatever worked. He half watched Senka, the other half observed Sybrant. They were happy, huh? Well, whatever worked and kept him busy.
He became aware, as they got closer, that more and more lights began to spring to life in his mind. Some faint and some bright, and all lives being lived up ahead. The cramped feeling made him slightly shudder. De'carn was ever so clausterphobic, and that many people made him slightly uncomfortable.

Sybrant tucked her wings tightly against her sides, yet the brances still seemed to snag on them somehow. She could tell the city was approaching, and for that she was glad. She hated traveling in the forest.
Occasionally looking over her shoulder, Senka was slightly amused with the two of them. Two Shadow Wyrms were not meant for forest hiking. A wood-dwelling creature--or at least one of that lineage--was. "Sybrant, De'carn... Do you think it would be better if I went into the city alone? I don't think we'd blend in much if we all went..."
Ouch! Curse that twig! Growling, Sybrant swiftly avoided a swinging branch. If a city is much more crowded then this, then it may be a good idea...

I hadn't thought about that. De'carn half whispered, being careful not to sound too relieved. Humans are naturally suspicious. If we were light wyrms... A bit of pain touched his voice. He had been at this for years, it came so naturally now...
But alas. I think lady Senka should go alone. Lady Sybrant? He asked, turning his head to watch the dark wyrm.

Sybrant only acknowledged hearing by a slight turn of the head. I think it would be better. Though you must be on guard...
"Sybrant, I appriciate the concern... But I can find it. I feel pulsations that your feeling, though I think their softer." Sybrant had actually paused, hearing her Bonded's statement even as she continued through the foilage. Soon enough, their trek had been rewarded. The edge of the forest neared, and just down the hill was the city.
Stopping near the border of the forest, Senka turned and watched the two Shadow Wyrms.

I think she'll be fine. De'carn told only Sybrant, watching her head into the embrace of the city. If anything happens, we can always go help her, though I doubt anything will go wrong. So what is it she's in there looking for? He was curious... for a multitude of reasons.
Because if it was that amulet... Then maybe his hunt for the night wasn't over.

The lights were brighter then she had seen at night. The only city she had ever been in had very few lights. Senka was watching everything curiously from under the safety of her hood, fully and completely unaware of the strange looks she was getting. But she didn't care. She was busy exploring the city. Almost too busy to follow the pulsations. Almost.
She followed the familiar pulsations to a small corner thrift shop that was being observed by few people. Senka obligingly moved towards it, though still taking a good look around.
~|~
Sybrant sighed, knowing that she had over-worried about Senka too much. She should be fine, she told herself. Though it was more in reassurance.
It is an item that's reference brings about thoughts of the wind. An embodiment of the essance of flight and wind.

Facinating. What would a lovely lady such as you want with a trinket of wind? De'carn inquired, stretching his wings lazily. He would have sent a thread of his mind after her, but he was going to let any surprises stay surprises for him. At least for now.
~*~
This was her town. Stretching her arms and twisting her neck, Tara entered from the brightly lit inn into the night. She was dressed as a woman ought to be, though not a lady of her birth. She paused for a moment at the sight of a hodded figure on the way to the local tavern where she had intended to flirt and spend her night laughing at the drunks' adorable ways of thinking they were attractive. However, people wearing hoods usually had no intention of being known. And when one of them strode into town, they were usually quiet, kept to themselves, or told scary stories of the world outside, including those wretched monsters known as wyrms.
Her interest captured, she supposed she could give the tavern a night without her. It made them more eager to beg for her attention anyhow. Unaware that the person beneath the hood was not male, but in fact a female with whom she had a past, Tara pursued casually, drawing a few double-takes herself when regulars noticed her heading the wrong way.

Keeping a stroll at ease, in hopes to attract less attention, Senka viewed the contents of random things fleetingly. Things in jars, dried fruits, beads, and other assortments. Even jewely, which surprised her to the great beyond. She hadn't remembered when she last saw the glimmer of gold...
Underneath the heavier-then-normal hood(to press down her ears), her wolf ears twitched. A constant sound, the same pace and same distance of sound... She was being followed. She surpressed a growl in her throut, widening her pace a small bit in attempts to lose her follower. She was missing the pulsations, and was further away from them again. Darnit!
~|~
I do not know... It calls to me. It has called to me before, but it eluded me then. Now I hope it is within grasp... Sybrant replied, her Silver eyes staring down into the city for a moment before looking back at De'carn.

De'carn blinked, watching the different lights go around and around. There was one threading after the one that was Senka. Fascinating. He nodded, tail flicking behind him. Well, whatever it is, please be careful.
~*~
Tara slowed, noticing something twitch beneath the hood of the stranger's cloak. She blinked, gray eyes surveying something deep within her that held familiarity. She sped up her pace slightly, following easily. Whoever they were knew of her, perhaps, but they were not alarmed.
Why did that lttiel twitch, that tiny movement, seem so... apparent? The stranged was hiding something beneath there. Was it a little animal, perhaps forbidden? What if it was one of those... whatchacallits? One of those people who shared their life with a wyrm?
Damned if she knew, but she was certain of what it was now. This one would tell a different story than the cutting of a dark wyrm's fang in order to ward off the undead. Speeding up, she was nearly running, eyes glowing coldly at the stranger now. Bring a wyrm into her town, would he? She would teach him! Metaphorically. It would actually be the guards who taught him the lesson he deserved, of course.

Her ear twitched again, and her annoyance grew. This person was persistant. They were going to attract MORE unwanted attention at this rate! Senka abruptly stopped, and half turned towards her follower. This was going to stop.
"What do you want..?"
~|~
A wave of annoyance flickered through Sybrant's bond to her mind, though she shook it off. Thank you for your concern, De'carn.

De'carn bowed his head. Anything to serve, Lady Sybrant. He replied, still following after the two stars which had, oddly enough, stopped. The one following Senka hadn't been good at the art of stealth. He blinked silently, the rune on his arm flickering as his wings stetched.
~*~
Tara's eyes widened. That wasn't a man's voice. It sounded like a voice she recognized. But it couldn't be the girl or else she wouldn't have just stood there like a lame duck... right? After a few moments of playing fishing in her memories, she finally discovered the name she'd been wanting to say.
"Senka." Her voice was harsh, accusatory.

Confusion swamped through her head. This girl--who she had no memory of even meeting--knew her name? And knew SOMETHING, apparently, of her to use such a condemning tone. She looked over the other female once more, still bringing up no memory of her. Although all she got was a small headache.
"Do I... know you?" Her voice had softened a bit, though it was well-laced with confusion.
~|~
Sybrant looked over De'carn, her eyes stopping momentarily at the glowing rune on his arm. If you don't mind me asking, De'carn... What is this one you seek like? Perhaps if you were to tell me about her, I would have a better grasp if I were to ever meet her.

De'carn didn't answer for a moment, collecting his thoughts. I told you what she looked like before. She's... quiet save to a select few, standing off to the side as to not draw attention to herself. She prefers it that way. She's usually with her bond, a young woman. She has dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and often an attitude problem. He didn't fondly remember his first meeting with Halen. He much would have not remembered it at all, but alas.
~*~
"My gods, it is you! Do you know how many letters I've got from mother and father?! They've been worried sick!" Tara half shouted. In truth, her parents were probably not all that eager to have let their shame into the open where she could interect with others, especially boys, and spread her 'disease' potentially. "Why aren't you at home?!"
