normally i'm quite able to keep my cool about this sort of thing. the problem is that they insulted me greatly, and that they present something that's obviously untrue(this is an absolutely rediculous system based off of a combination of the chinese elements and several seemingly random colors, contradicted by almost every dragonkin i know), and it further disproves itself by taking the name of someone who was quite human and had NOTHING TO DO WITH DRAGONS, and calling them a bloody saint! this is an insult to dragons everywhere and delegitimizes those of us who make serious claims. I will not stand for such childish foolishness.

If you'd have explained yourself initially as you did here, I would have been more inclined to take to heart your point of view. As it was you came across as rude and childish yourself, and if there had been an insult to you earlier in the thread I didn't pick up on it so it was most likely unintentional. If you don't want to drive people away from your point of view, then presenting yourself as you did in your previous post is a bad idea no matter how angry you are. 3nodding I realise you guys' points of view are very very different, but to attack the points of view of the other only undermines the message you are trying to get across. People won't respect you if you don't show others at least basic respect yourself 3nodding

Don't worry about it, we all make mistakes! Heehee, I used to get really angry with people and rant at them sometimes too rofl Sorry again for butting in, it was just sad to see you undermine yourself when your points of view are also very interesting if only you'd put them across in a less insulting and angry way 3nodding

i rant often, partly because i'm a very angry person.
i could write a book of rants on everything from religion to society to the vampire community to fluffy otherkins and therians to wiccans to everything else. give me a subject and i'll probably rant about it and make a fairly decent argument.

now, as for my coming across initially as angry, somewhat childish, and arrogant, that's mostly because i've been running into alot of these dumb shits lately, and i'm growing more and more weary of it. i will not apologize, seeing as i was right, but i will admit my occasional childishness. i get very childish when i'm greatly offended, and i curse alot. i like to curse. it makes me feel better.

haha, you should post some of your random rants in the rant/vent thread! Ranting can be fun I must admit... lol

i might just do that. but typing up rants is so hard. it's easier to speak it.

I personally am finally just rediscovering things from my past lives especially the dragon things. I have known for a long time that I was one but things have not revieled themselves easily. It is an area I need to really work at which is a little new to me, a lot of things come easily. It is very important to me to find these things out and I am very willing to put a lot of work into it. If you don't mind I would like you to share your points of veiw and beliefs without childish rudeness and name calling. This just isn't for DR49ON, I would appreciate everyone's veiw points.

I'm not actually sure what I personally think dragons are like. I suppose I'm lacking in information in that area that didn't come from fantasy books lol, so I am as of yet undecided! I think that some people use the idea/ image of a dragon as more of a symbol that is imbued with certain references to properties and elements, so in their minds it personifies these. Then again, others believe that dragon kind once existed, and still do, and see them more as living beings in their own right rather than a symbol. I don't think I'll ever have enough information to decide what I believe on this subject, and so my mind will stay blissfully open! Sometimes it's more interesting that way anyway 3nodding

firstly, theres alot of variation between dragons. some of us can do some things while others cannot. we are by no means a symbol, but we are very powerful. some of us look one way, while others look completely different. sizes vary, colors vary, soem of us can change colors, or shapeshift, or other things like that. never take us for granted, because a dragon's rage is swift and strong, like the current of a river. know us and trust us and let us be your guides.

So how did certain humans end up with a dragon soul/ spirit form? If you don't mind me asking. Just curious!

not sure. none of us really are. i think there was some purpose to it. the similarities between elves and celts was probably what drew me there in the first place, and i think i passed through the bloodline that way. i'm pretty sure i was a wolf at one point too. from what i can guess, my lives have been(in order)
dragon, human, human, dragon, human, wolf, human, human, human, human, and this life now.

Oh, interesting... how did you discover that? Also, if we can pass through many different forms from life to life then are all souls basically the same (ie. dragon, human, animal, etc.)?

I think they are all slightly different. I also think your first life might be the soul you always have and you always the feeling that you are that being. I also think you experience life as a few other things and you always feel a kinship with that being also. For example I know I'm a dragon but I also feel a kinship to all kinds of felines. My bestfriend and soul sister of many many centuries is a wolf so beings of different species can be especially close. Basically if you're one thing you are not another, that's not saying that you can't be half one thing and half another which I think would be a result of spending the same amount of lives as each being. However I don't think it matters what form you take you are always you.

cool, that's how I thought it might be 3nodding It would be really interesting to find out about my past selves... though it wouldn't make a difference to who I am, it would just be interesting 3nodding I have the feeling I'm mainly human, though I do feel a connection with the sea... it's kinda strange, I have a fear of it and used to have nightmares about it when I was younger, but at the same time I feel really drawn to it and quite often have dreams where I'm a sea creature of some kind. After waking up I usually feel a little sad as it was such a nice feeling! That might not mean anything in regards to this, but... yeah! I also used to amost see the sea around me when I was younger, sometimes I would "see" the room I was in filling up with seawater and creatures, and I had to pull my feet up or jump onto a chair xd I didn't see it with my eyes... it was more in my mind. I presumed it was just an overactive imagination and suppressed it, but if I try I can sometimes get the same feeling now.

Wow, I've waffled completely off topic haven't I?! Apologies!!! It's great to think that we are all one - from the smallest creature to the largest, we are all connected, even those which no longer inhabit this world physically

I'm going to continue with your off topicness for just a minute. I don't know too much about the lore but when I was younger I felt a strong conection and even wanted to be a mermaid. I think I may have been one in a past life. I've almost drowned twice when I was little and I'm still not afraid of the water although now I'm cautious esepecially at the ocean. I think it's mainly because I know the dangers and have had first hand experience with them that I never go in over my head in the ocean. You also could have been a mermaid or other sea creature, but the ocean could also have been the cause of one of your deaths which would explain why you're afraid of it.

Aah cool! Yeah, I think that may have been the case... though it's all speculation on my part of course. I really feel drawn to the idea of Selkies actually 3nodding and mermaids too, though not quite as much.

To get back on topic xd are there any good books about dragons that actually get the facts somewhere near right? Though with everyone believing slightly different things about them this may be a difficult question! Byyy the way, there are some awesome dragon pendants available at gothicstyle.co.uk 3nodding I love that shop!

xd haha, I'm getting the water flowing around my feet feeling again, doesn't happen often nowadays! Yeah, my feet are up on my chair rolleyes

I like the dragonoloy books, but for pagan books right now I'm reading Dancing with Dragons by DJ Conway. It seems very good but I'm only half way through it.
