"Todd," Tessa said after a moment, "I wouldn't want you confusing the two of them."
She thought through several places off the Tessalonian coast and just as quickly dismissed the possibility of travel to any of them, suspecting Jack would find no love for the land anyhow. She turned to Jack with a slight curiosity and smiled.
"Either way, am I to take it we're going to be spending eternity just drifting along the sea then?"

Tessa smiled, but the shake of her head dismissed the possibility of her providing destination any time, at least for the near future. Her face became suddenly cross with a mild irritation, but her cheeks flushed red almost all at once.
"I cannot believe my own mother... if she weren't my only follower - and well, my mother I'd almost want to pay her a near-unfriendly visit..."
She leaned away from the railing and turned around, propping herself up by her hands as she watched the sea go by again with a smile.
"She's under the impression we need to be wed, Jack."

Tessa's blush nearly covered her entire face, but she shifted slightly to the side as she brought herself some measure of calm.
"And you realize that as a goddess, I would prefer some semblance of sanctity in all this? Of course, that immediately rules out my mother as fit for any such task but perhaps we may find someone once we land? If worst comes to worst I could in fact find someone in Tessalona that could preside."
She laughed slightly, a blue ripple falling down her arms in compliment to her still-cascading hair. She looked down at them and sighed, still smiling.
"I will really have to take some time and familiarize myself with my own appearance," she remarked, "as interesting as it is, it's better if I can actually control it, you know?"

"Not... exactly, no."
Tessa paled and shook her head slightly, but she stepped over to the wall and placed her hand against its surface, her mind deep in thought for a long moment.
"I did make it a point to revoke what had happened to me from that bite you gave me before, but I've been thinking..." She turned to Jack, "Sooner or later it is bound to happen, isn't it? No disrespect to you but I doubt you can restrain yourself for eternity, and it's evident enough I'm no simple Half-Elf anymore. Would you prefer it if I withdrew the notion of keeping my origins intact?"

Tessa stifled a laugh, but signaled Jack over to her with a slight smile. She honestly did have to think about it for a long moment before reaching her conclusion though, and her smile grew slightly.
"The same way as it would me being a Half-Elf, I suppose. My material frame does not dictate any trace of divinity, as in fact the two are quite parted. It wouldn't change much of anything, but my question remains; what would you have me be, Jack?"

Tessa pinched her lips in thought, but nodded her head all the same and leaned over to Jack. She drew her arms over her shoulder and rested the side of her head against her left, smiling all the while.
"I guess I'm content being who and what I am then," she said finally, "a goddess in a half-Elven frame, nothing besides."
She laughed slightly, lifting her head to face him squarely with a smile.
"After all, it'll be bad enough once they figure out I'm a goddess at all."

"I know." Tessa raised a finger to Jack's lips with a smile, "Trust me, I know. After all mortality isn't calling any longer, I'm an all-but-forgotten goddess and we're sailing on my turf, so to speak."
She removed her finger and leaned forward slightly, resting her forehead against Jack's own.
"And with no better company, I might add."
