YOU HAVE MY SWORD - IN YOUR FACE.The slimer and the dummy seemed even as they pressed their swords against each other. They went through the usual motions of attacks, blocks and counter attacks, and now they were at a stalemate, and just inches away from each other’s face. The slimer’s frustration did wane as he looked at the mannequin. It was faceless and featureless, and it reminded him of himself, and it did make him wonder if the dolls have a sort of “life”. The only difference between them would seem like that he was made of slime and the other made of leather. YOU HAVE AN ARROW IN YOUR KNEE FACE. If there was one thing Riley was good at, it was last minute saves. The mannequin reached out, only a few feet from her fort, and she stood up, disregarding her own safety as she rose her bow and arrow and aimed it directly into the mannequin's body. The shot was quick, and close enough to knock the mannequin far back as it flew in the air and landed on it's rear.

He drew the arrow back, but it slipped in his grip, sailing harmlessly wide of the dummy to land point first in a tree behind. YOU HAVE AN ARROW IN YOUR KNEE FACE. Riley had a few moments to actually aim her arrow this time, as the mannequin stumbled back to his feet. She leaned forward, and exhaled as she pulled the string as far back as she could. The arrow thunked into the mannequin's chest once more, and the sheer force of her power behind the shot was the only real reason she was starting to win. The mannequin splayed out on the ground this time, his body cracking as the second arrow dug itself into the same hole as the first.

YOU HAVE MY SWORD - IN YOUR FACE.The two pushed against each other’s weapon, sending each other on the opposite way, and at a good distance of an attack. They both slashed in similar ways, striking each other’s weapons a few times. The mannequin, a little strong than the ghost, sent his weapon down much harder. The ghost eventually gave up and went on the defense. The slimer held the weapon with both hands, on at the hilt, the other pressing at the tip and against the flat side as he blocked the dummy’s attacks. The dummy sent shocks of pain through the ghost’s forearms from its relentless attacks, but the ghost was eventually stop it, as it quickly lunged forward, thrusting his sword into the mannequin’s chest. SWEET VICTORY! YOU HAVE AN ARROW IN YOUR KNEE FACE. The mannequin took his time in getting back up to his feet. Riley had all but shattered his middle, but he was still mobile, and that meant he would still come for her fort. So, in a last ditch effort, Riley tried something new. She held the bow in one hand, strung the arrow within, and then used seven of her tentacles to pull the string back as far as it would go without breaking. There was a definite change in the amount of force this shot would fly with, if it made it to it's target - except, it's target was already at her fort, only steps away from the pine cones. It was too easy of a shot, and she was using too much force - so when she let the arrow fly, not only did it shatter the entire middle of the mannequin, her bow broke as well. She winced as the weapon dropped to the ground in two pieces, further horrified as the top half of the mannequin started to crawl forward, still determined to destroy her fort.
The mutilated mannequin skewered itself helplessly on the pinecones and sticks that jutted out in front of her fortifications, and finally stilled as the body sunk down into the sand, defeated.
But only just.
Riley breathed a sigh of relief that she didn't realize she was holding, and collected her broken weapon, prepared to apologize and offer cost for damages.Opponent's HP: 6 Damage Dealt: 6 Opponent's Distance: 0 Knockback Dealt: no Previous Posts: Fort building 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8Fort HP 9 - Opponent's HP 6 = Fort remains at 3HP

YOU HAVE MY SWORD - IN YOUR FACE.The mannequin looked down, if it had eyes, and let go of its sword. It dropped besides them with a light thud. With hands clasped, the dummy struck the ghost’s head with his hands, much like a club. The slimer lost consciousness for a second, losing grasp of his weapon and his position as he fell to the ground. The mannequin, pulled the sword from its chest, and held it as if it was its own. YOU HAVE MY SWORD - IN YOUR FACE.The slimer was able to dodge the attack, without his weapon, the slimer was more agile than he was without it. But without the weapon, the slimer didn’t have much for an offense. But he did try. The slimer struck the mannequin with a few solid punches and a kick, but it did little or no damage to the mannequin, which still came forward without missing step. The skin on his fists was turning greener and a little raw from the friction of each strike. The dummy did not show any signs of it stopping, and it didn’t. The dummy thrust its sword at the slimer missing, and then struck with its own fist, knocking the ghost unconscious. ARRGH, DEFEAT!YOU HAVE AN ARROW IN YOUR KNEE FACE.Sheridan snarled, his tail lashing as he let out a roar at the dummy even as it advanced through his barriers, even as fabric and skeleton shattered on sharp stones, leather tearing as it shuffled through the field of scattered pine cones. And then it was at the top, jack, he had no arrows left! What did he do now?! He may have thought he'd had a moment, the dummy pausing, caught on the final barrier of thorns that crowned the barricade wall. But it was only a moment's reprieve, and with a sicking rend, the dummy torn its own arm from its body and cleared the top of the barricade. The attack was swift and merciless. His bow rendered useless, and forbidden from using his natural skills, Sheridan was defenseless against the attack, several punishing blows sending him staggering backward until he was slammed full force into a tree behind. Oh jack that hurt! A sharp gasp, he slumped against the tree, beaten and gasping for breath. Glaring at the now lifeless dummy, the dragon showed his fangs in a growl, thinking of just how much he would enjoyed using that infernal thing to start a bar b que. They got to built forts?! Canon had never been happier to possess hands! This went beyond fascinating! This was... engrossing! No sooner had Cybele given permission, than Canon was diving for a spot and digging away like a small, gray mole. She pushed and packed the excess dirt around the hole, forming a semi-stable ring of battlements, which she promptly decorated with little leaf 'flags'.
Beautification accomplished, Canon focused on the more martial aspects of her fort. There was an abundance, a veritable plethora of sticks about the forest floor, so the Skark gathered a great armful of them. She pushed them into the battlements until they looked more like pincushions. Well, these certainly looked sharp enough, but it needed something else...
Canon made a more careful search of the forest around her, and finally located just the thing, a thorny vine! With that draped around the lip of the wall like barbed wire, Canon felt ready for anything.
She glared over the edge of the fort at the mannequin. Let it do its worst!

YOU HAVE MY SWORD - IN YOUR FACE. As soon as the dolls were released, Poke jumped into her trench, calming herself by using the meditation techniques she had learned, and waited. She had retrieved her sword already, and as she watched the mannequin hack away, she formed a idea. Soon enough, her fort began to crumble, but before it was fully destroyed, she jumped out from behind, raising her sword above her head so she would bring it down ontop of the dolls head. However, she had misjudged the distance, and only managed to scrape it across the shoulder. The doll, however, twirled around and slam it's arm into the side of her head. "Ack! Dam!" She rubbed the side of her head. Was it just her, or did this doll hit alot harder then it did yesterday? YOU HAVE AN ARROW IN YOUR KNEE FACE. His defensive fortification was as prepared as it would likely ever be. And it looked as if it would get the job done. He gave it an approving glance and then went to inform someone that he was ready before he obtained his bow to prepare for the onslaught. He set up behind his structure, once again fixing his goggles into place, eyeing the mannequin set up quite a few meters from him. This was...not quite the same as yesterday. But if he worked on it he should be able to defeat thing. He had a solid defense, and enough skill that he could probably attack it several times before it advanced. Shuffling forward at its starting pace was exactly what Yin needed. He carefully set an arrow to the string and lifted up to sight along the shaft. Aim, breathe out, fire. The arrow seemed to barely pierce the creature but it staggered back, perhaps not expecting to be hit at all. Then again, perhaps he was giving its intelligence too much credit. YOU HAVE MY DAGGER - IN YOUR FACE. Build Phase!
The final day was here at last, Sammy wasn't sure how she felt about it standing in a clearing of dirt. Students milled about as they where explained the latest task to defend a simple fort. Each student started with dirt, gathering piles and stacking it up in short walls. It was like the sandcastles all over but a bit larger. Still everyone was scrambling to defend the fort, she didn't have a chance to get the vines, everyone was nabbing them up so a pinecone replaced it, though hardly any good. her next best bet was the sticks she found.
She gathered a series of pointed sticks, snapping others in half to make them more jagged. She lodged them in the dirt, pointed tips protecting the dirt walls. Around it she tossed rocks, pointed tips aiming up to sting the feet of her enemies.
"Let's go...." She turned to stand behind the fort dagger in hand waiting for the mannequin to charge.
HP: 40/40
