That's true. Regional subforums it is then. I was also thinking that it would be a good idea to at least number all the unnamed non-canon planets so we have some reference and label. I would like a list of all the planets and their current owners with a map. I think that will be helpful and much easier to change than a static map image.
Also, I put up a thread for the Combat System. Check it out. I'd welcome any feedback, positive or negative, and I'll answer any questions. Once people have a better understanding of the system I think we can post two or three new style Mechanics or Character Intro's and stage a battle.
Which reminds me. I am hoping, with the new Combat System, to coalesce the Mechanics and Character Declarations into the same post format, though not necessarily the same thread. I wanted this combat system to include player vs. player and fleet vs. fleet combat so that theoretically we could have player vs. fleet and it would end logically (with the player dead or incapacitated).

I put in the Combat System thread a post detailing stat listing and providing an example with notes. Does this format clarify anything? Does anybody have any new questions?

So this is my idea for a new protocol regarding posting stats. On paper, it probably seems unduly harsh and it's meant to, to a degree; my hope is that there will be much more communication and negotiation if there is a problem.
Item stats are posted by the player, but may be refuted by any one person (the offended) BEFORE they are encountered in combat. The offended may then post new stats as he sees fit. The new stats may be contested by any player other than the original poster. This may continue until every member of the Guild has contested the stats, or the item is engaged in combat.
Basically, you're allowed to say whatever you want, but if anyone has a problem with it, he can change it and you can't do anything about it so you should take care in what you say. It may also make sense to make a rule regarding the length of time that must pass before an item can be used in combat to give everyone a chance to look at new the stuff. What do people think of that?

that looks good. As for launch time, I think three days without contest is enough. Any longer and it might be forgotten in one of our "Post torrents."

We need to determine how Character and Tech Bios are going to look. Obviously the combat stats will be in there somewhere, but there is so much more to cover.

That looks pretty good to me, although I would also kind of like a single system for both Character and Mechanical declarations. I'm not sure what that would look like specifically, but perhaps the two could have some common fields, such as name and combat stats, and then a middle portion that will be one of two formats based on whether it's for Characters or Mechanics.

Looks good. Maybe master could be owner or operator for Mechanics?

I have a question about how Morphs from FE7 would fit in. Is it possible that, since they're basically reanimated human corpses, that they could be artificial Vampires? Also, as to the whole "Wizardry" thing, if we can come up with a way that the spell or whatnot would work through the force, could we use it? Or is the ban on anything like wizardry?
Which reminds me, I need to write up an expansion to the Black Fang profile...

I think we would really like to keep this new Guild as much canon Star Wars as possible, which to my mind excludes nearly any form of reanimated corpse (the only exception being through a Force technique because I believe that there is or once was such a technique). However, Star Wars has cyborgs. But of course these cyborgs tend to really only be more creative than droids, not necessarily performing better in any other areas.
