Ophelia looked away quickly to hide a blush. Last time she gave in to broad shoulders and dark eyes, she'd ended up jinxing every man she came across for almost a month solid. Istas had almost put her in containment for that one. She continued measuring and marking, going back to her messy script and jotting down her numbers. throwing her measuring tape around her shoulders again, she took her pad and hurried over to the counter.

"You, uhm, said you wanted the gray?" she asked. she was getting hungry now, as she usally did after a frustrating day or after she dealt with too many men. "Which one did you want?"

James shrugged. "The grey one, Umm." He stepped off of the stool and walked over to the wall of fabric. He put his hand on the grey ha had chosen earlier. It was pretty, but still plain. “What’s it made of?” He asked, still curious. “I must know if I’m going to buy it.” He looked back at her and slowly walked to the counter and leaned on it gently.

Istas smiled when James introduced himself, and laughed when Lenore introduced herself, it might seem odd, but Istas figured Lenore would have taken care of that small formality when the man had walked into the store. Although Istas had grown up around the Fae all of her life, Istas still didn't think she knew all that much about Lenore, other than she used odd fabrics to make her clothes.

Silently, Istas stood and listened to the conversation between the two in front of her, nodding where she needed to, but otherwise not offering much in the way of conversation. She wanted to laugh when Lenore had James hold her measurements pad; Istas had seen the pad once, and if the bad handwriting wasn't enough to confuse people the fact that it was written in a different language would. To say Istas was surprised when James said that Lenore had made a mistake, because that meant that he could read the language, which meant that he really wasn't human. 'Damn, I knew he wasn't human. That's sad.' Istas thought as she straightened her back and donned her a business air. She didn't feel like interrupting the conversation just yet, but there was no she was letting James out of her sight until he answered some questions. Sometimes being a defender of the village was difficult.

Slowly she walked around the counter to sit on a chair that Lenore had out, and watched the two Fae, paying close attention to any movements that James made. Istas had learned early on that the nonhuman creatures around her didn't think that humans paid enough attention to body language, so the creatures didn't work very hard to have their bodies hide their intentions; Istas hoped James was no different than the rest of his kind.

Ophelia laughed a little laugh before walking over to the 'supply cupboard' and pulling out the maker of the material. It was a small pinkish caterpillar covered in little blue dots and fur. Placing him in the center of her palm and closing the door to the cabinet, and the rest of the little caterpillars, she made her way off to the counter where James waited.

"Meet Antoine," she smiled. "Normally very poisonous, especially for us. I'd recommend you didn't startle him. He made that entire bolt of fabric over there with one other little caterpillar."

Leaning down, the dar Fae slid a finger down the fuzzy back of the deadly little creature. Very gently she scooped the little worm up and carried him back over. After setting him back in his place atop some grayish colored leaves she turned and walked back.

"Everything here is all natural. Adversly if you need something a bit warmer we have Kelpie wool."

James nodded. "How kind of you to enslave animals to do your weaving." He smirked and watched her carefully. that think was very dangerous and he did not feel like dieing today. especially not in a tailor’s shop. "They must adore you, I know that I would." He chuckled and looked at the human who sat behind the counter. "How would that make you feel?" He asked the girl. "sad, annoyed, depressed, helpless?" James had a 'thing' about forcing others to work without a choice.

Lenore narrowed her eyes and let outgrowl, a dark and threatening shadow starting to 'glow' about her form.

"Not a single being comes into this shop by force. Every creature here, is here by ther Own volition and you would do well not to forget that."

The shadow never left her form, even as she started to litterally flit about the room. Fabrics apeared in a pile on the sewing desk and little spiders peeked out from their homes wary and worried. Lenore flitted back to behind the counter, the shadow that had been surrounding her coming to form dark and morbid wings.

"Is that all, sir?" she bit out, her sharpened teeth hiding behind lips. If there was anything she truly hated, it was slavery. Her entire family had been against it after being tricked into such a dreadful institution years ago.

Istas could feel the pride roll off of Lenore in waves as the Fae showed of her little pet; Lenore had always been very proud of the fact that no one else could get the same materials that she made and did nothing to hide that fact. Istas let her mind wonder back to the time when another tailor had tried to move in to Glenyore, it took two days for the Fae to run the poor human tailor out of town; as funny as it was, it was Istas's job to make sure that nothing got out of control, and that was not fun.

James voice brought her out of her memory with a start, the enslaving animals part particularly. 'Crap.' Istas thought as she stood from her seat; Istas also remembered how much Lenore hated slavery in any form. 'Lenore, don't do anything that will make me have to arrest you.'

Istas was about to answer James and hopefully diffuse the situation quickly, but Lenore seemed to get upset faster than Istas could even think of a response. "Lenore." Istas warned, placing her right hand on the hilt of the blade that rested on her back. Istas didn't want this to have to come to bloodshed, but she was ready for anything. When the wings took shape, Istas knew that she had to do something; while Istas herself had never seen a Fae's wings take shape her old master had and he had stressed how important it was to calm the Fae down.

"Lenore," Istas called, "calm down. I doubt that James here meant any harm with his comment. When people don't know things they can't watch their words, he doesn't know about your family, Lneore." Istas hoped that Lenore would listen to her, but if the Fae didn't, and refused to calm down Istas would have no choice but to do something herself. The question was, what would she do?

James stood very still, not wanting to have his head bit off or anything. "My Apologies, I did not know." He bowed slightly and folded his arms behind him. He swallowed hard and looked up to watch her work. "I do admire you for making so much of yourself." He was now only trying to make her not angry. He wanted the suit to not be outrageously overpriced, or sewing in such a way that it would fall apart on the first washing. “Please forgive my ignorance.”

Ifalna walked into the heart of the village, and turned onto the very street where the tailor shop was located. years ago, her teacher, the village warlock, had opened shop right next to it. It was a lovely apothecary, and she had many customers, but since the new comers had come to town they stopped coming for the most part. Sighing, she walked into the Tailor shop prepared once more to ask Lenore if she could pay her to get her caterpillars to spin out some of their silk for her elixirs. She opened the door, and to her dismay, saw Lenore helping a man she had never seen before. "A new comer, and a handsome one at that." She said to herself. She suddenly got a small insight of the future, which happened from time to time. She quietly walked up behind Lenore, and whispered, "Romance." She began to laugh a little.

"Hello Lenore. I'm sorry to come by when you so busy, and to make such a quiet entrance, but I'm here to ask if you can preform that task for me once more for a price." She didn't want the new comer knowing her business with her friend. "He's handsome isn't he?" she added in another whisper. "You know I know about these things, and I'm almost never ever wrong." she giggled.

((OOC: It's been there well over a year now. Go to your settings and take it off. That should fix some of the words.))

((I've tried posting 7 times!))

Lenore let out a scream when Ifalna whispered into her ear unexpectedly. She'd been so intent and angry that she hadn't even noticed the witch come into her shop. Giving the witch a glare, particularly after her whispers she turned back to James and gave him a debating look.

"I suppose I could forgive you." She shoved a receipt at him with the overall cost. "Come in every day except saturday's because I'm sleeping then and I hate to be woken up. Don't come before nine or after sundown because I won't see you'll be either sleeping or hunting for my dinner. Make sure to bring one of the plants listed below to ingratiate yourself with the crew, they like to be fed. Additionally, I will not accept I.O.U.'s and cost's may change dependant upon delivery and if you get fatter during fittings."

She ignored him then and turned to Ifalna with a sugary sweet smile. The type of smile that told you the recepiant of your 'wonderful vision' was neither happy nor thankful. Grabbing her friend by the arm she dragged her ohe cupboard/apartment complex and hissed at her.

"I also know that this is neither the time nor place to discuss things of that nature. Besides," she said with a smirk, "Remember your vision about Dante? That hasn't happened, won't happen, and I pray to Morgan it never happens."

"Yes, well Morgan doesn't control such things, and I never say when these things will happen. Though I must admit seeing you flustered about it is rather humorous." Ifalna said keeping her voice low. "If you don't want him then I'll take him. Fates know that I need a handsome stranger in my life seeing as no one ever pays heed to me. I doubt that they ever find me courtable due to my powers, and every other young man comes to my store only for my healing powders and elixirs. Am I even attractive enough for a man to be smitten by me. I doubt that." she said momentarily forgetting why she was there. "Oh, about your little worms that you have here. You know I come by every now and then just for their services. May I indulge in some silk dear friend?" She asked in a normal voice.

Madeline sighed as she realized the sun was heading downwards.Even though she hardly ever slept, she did like being at home with Alexandria after sundown. She would have to feed another day. Standing up and pulling the hood of her cloak down, she walked down the middle of the street. She had been planning to get a new dress for quite some time now, and since she was already in town...
"Ahhh, there it is." She said to herself as the tailor's shop came into view. Walking through the door, she saw the other people and wondered at it. It's so busy today. Because Lenore wasn't at the counter currently, Madeline decided to wait. She knew Lenore didn't like her to use her abilities as a vampire inside the shop, plus Lenore had never liked interruptions and no one wanted to be on the bad side of a Fae. Besides, it was already obvious to Madeline that Lenore and someone else were in the closet having a hurried conversation. Waiting patiently, she tapped her long, perfect nails against the table next to the waiting chair.

James took the receipt gingerly and looked it over. The prices were reasonable, but he had a feeling that she would make him pay more than that. ''Of course." He mumbled and leaned against the counter His dark hair fell over his eyes and he used his left hand to sweep it back in one fluid motion. "I hope it's worth the price he teased, and caught the eye of the girl who had just entered the shop moments ago. "So, is she as talented as one may hope? Or just another small town seamstress with a little bit of time to practice her embroidery?" A smirk graced his pale face he needed some entertainment.

Lenore looked over as the resident Vampire entered the shop. It was so crowded today. If the village kept getting bigger she might have to hire someone, and she wasn't looking forward to that. first off who the heck would she hire, one of the village kids? Too human and too unskilled. James was the only other fae she could think of that didn't do something already, and he was much to prissy to do something as menial as labour.

"Just great," she sighed, ignoring her chattery friend. "Well hold on just a second, I'll see what's left in the remnants box and if you need more you can bring some vegetation to Mortimer." Walking back over to her counter she gave Madeline a glance and held up a finger.

"Just one second ma'am, feel free to peruse the selection of fabrics alright?"

Madeline smiled at the harried look on Lenore's face. "Yes, I think I will." She replied. Standing up once again, she walked in her usual graceful motions over to the wall that displayed the different colours. Looking at the different blues she had, Madeline sighed and moved on to the next shelf. None of them caught her eye until she saw one particular shade of purple. Moving the cloth inbetween her hands, she smiled again, the cloth seemed to shimmer and move like waves, it was beautiful. Waiting for a few more moments to give Lenore more time, she headed towards the counter and set the sample on the counter, hoping Lenore knew enough to take her time with her task. Madeline could wait all day if it came to that.
