Malina heard the gate open and turned to see Gylden and Faisca making their way in. She inwardly cursed them for interrupting the moment and then curiously wondered why she cared so much.
"Malina; it's good to see you back." Gylden said; her voice was gentle, but held the firmness that a leader should have. "And you've brought a friend."
"This is Freeflight." Malina held back a sigh; it was frustrating having to repeat herself over and over. "Freeflight, this is Gylden; our leader and her daughter Faisca."
Faisca nodded and smiled as a way of response.

"We're just about to have some tea and cake," Gylden started. "Inside, if you'd like to join us."
Malina smiled and looked at Freeflight, awaiting her answer. She was hungry and thirsty; it'd been a while since breakfast and she'd missed lunch. She didn't want to force Freeflight to do anything she didn't want to do, however.

Malina was about to leave the garden with Gylden and Faisca when she stopped abruptly. "Wait a second," she said, cautiously. "How many people are going to be having tea and cake with us?"
"Most of the herd, of course. Except those who are off on duty."
Malina groaned and gave an apologetic glance to Freeflight. "I don't want to overwhelm her, Gylden."
"I'm sure she'll be fine." Gylden smiled and continued walking. Malina doubted she was going to take no for an answer. With a sigh; she continued walking.

"I guess."
"We're having it in the open tea room." Gylden told them in an almost sing song way.
Faisca shrugged at Malina and turned to follow her mother from the garden.

Malina waited a moment. "We don't have to do this if you don't want to."

Nodding, Malina continued. She made sure the gate was locked when Freeflight had left and then she continued to around the back of the house. There's was a gazebo; quite large with two small ones to the side where the children were seated with cakes and flavoured milk.
The majority of the adults were seated in the large gazebo and Gylden beckoned Malina over. With a deep breath she walked over and sat next to Rosa, feeling as nervous as ever. She offered Freeflight the seat next to her and looked at Rosa; pleading in her eyes. Rosa merely shrugged and patted her shoulder.

Leaning over to Freeflight; having felt her stress over sitting, Malina whispered. "We'll stay for five minutes. I promise." She sat back just as Gylden rose to speak.

"Today we welcome a new friend; Freeflight. Malina has kindly introduced her to us and we hope she continues to visit from now on." She rose her teacup and everyone else followed suit. After adding a few spoonfuls of sugar; Malina took a sip of her tea.

Gylden moved around to her and Malina frowned lightly. "That was shorter than I expected."
"I can make another if you'd like." Gylden said with a smirk.
Malina rolled her eyes. "This is making Freeflight uncomfortable. She doesn't like sitting. We'll be leaving in a moment."
Gylden pursed her lips and turned to Freeflight. "Forgive me; I didn't understand. Sometimes I get carried away." She bowed her head and hurried off to talk amongst the herd.

"She's fine, trust me." Malina stood and nodded to those who caught her eye; a sign of farewell. "Let's go." She grabbed Freeflight's arm gently and guided her through the crowds.
