It hadn't been nearly long enough since her run in with that stuffed shirt, egotistical, pessimistic, injured BRAT! She was glad he had found some one else, that some one else could take care of his wounds, shoulder his attitude and bear the lash of his distrustful tongue. She had been doing him a favor, she saved his life, so how come she felt like the bad guy? She danced in the air in frustration, her feet nimbly finding the water vapors coming off the lake. Foggy days like this were usually all she needed to make her smile. A chance to dance, when the water in the air was at it's densest. And yet... she was still in a foul mood. It didn't help that she was lonely. She had always been a social pony, but after that winged brat... she needed a break. Even as she desperately wished for company. She hated being a hypocrite, it left her no clear path to smiling.

Malina had decided to go for a walk; tired of hearing the whine of children. She loved her new siblings to death but the screaming she could do without. She sighed and made her way to the lake; a nice dip would do her well. From the corner of her eye she spotted something; no, someone for it was a pony she saw, in the air just above the lake.
"Mmn." Malina mumbled, pursing her lips; she could feel the tension and stress radiating from the pony and it made her uncomfortable. Closing her eyes; she let her mind take over and illusions flew from her horn; blue birds that sparkled and left a trail of light behind them as they flew. 'Maybe this'll cheer her up so I can swim without fretting.' She thought to herself, not moving until she was sure the coast was clear.

She saw the birds and a laugh escaped her. She smiled brightly, startled. "Hello friends!" she called to the birds. Of course she did not expect a reply, but it was a little less lonely, and they were so pretty. She couldn't recall the last time she had truly smiled.

"That's a lot better than your mood was." Malina called, moving to the edge of the lake and dipping a hoof in. The blue birds moved with her, flittering around as if they were real and not just illusions. "I can enjoy myself now."

"It's fine. I'm sure it wouldn't bother anyone else but I seem to have inherited my fathers' knack for feeling what others feel." Malina entered the water now and sighed as she let the sensation envelop her.

"It gets a bit bothersome at times. Especially now the babies are here. It's either 'I'm hungry' or 'I need to go toilet'." Malina sighed. "Drives me nuts which is why I'm here."

"Don't get me wrong, I love my siblings. But with 5 of them at home and 1 always visiting it gets overwhelming. Especially with a dragon thinking she owns the place."
