Noctalys' list of reasons too many mods can be a bad thing....
1) While I walked up to a random bandit hideout, I was accosted by a ninja dwarf. He attacked me with a chainsaw, so I whipped out my lightsaber and beat him down.
2) While attempting to run away from a diamondback kagouti, I get stuck in a tree that was supposed to "sway in the wind"
3) While running around as a full werewolf (try www.mcasmod.com i believe it is...great mod, great mod!) I am accosted by a random villager who accuses me of being a vampire.
4) Two words: Flaming Khajiit.
...Ok, I'll come up with more later.
