Fallen Dreams for me, as well. *always has a faint accent that tips people off to the fact that he hasn't always lived in the States (and occasionally compels morons to ask for my autograph thinking that I just happen to be a certain name-less POTThead boy wizard... grumble grumble)* One last question for now:
What is everyone's stance on the whole Earth-Invasion Attempt storyline facet? It's kind of important to know if we're ever planning on starting this.

I have no problem writing the stuff, myself.
I'm just making sure that we're actually going with that before I waste an hour or two writing it...
And I've already started work on my Dark character! (And there's a spot in the core RP where Jekk runs into him... See if you can find it to learn where this chara resides until the Darkness succeeds. Jekk mentions a place that is very hard to get out of. That's where Alabaster Soluna resided. twisted )

eviltwinears Now, if Myria was taken and the Mother Oak was twisted to dark use, would the Darkness stop there? Stop after a single battle and sit? No! Any intelligent evil would then go to pains to keep threats away from it. And where would these threats come from? How about the very place they came from in the first place? The birthplace of the Saviors. Earth. Now Earth would definitely have some unusual problems, like the leprechaun refugees from Myria fleeing before the Dark, so it would have bits of the good Myria within it. The Darkness would have Myria but Earth would still have to be taken for it to be safe. So this could be played out as both the corrupted Myria and the defending Earth. Allowing both villians and heroes! So Jasae can have his "Not-Dark" characters (I came up with this thanks to you, man.) and Silent and I can have our Dark, Post-Apocalyptic Myrian Characters. This also leaves room for appearances by characters that have only been briefly touched upon in the Core Myria Thread, like Aren's sister Robin from Earth! I like it. I also have another idea... But I won't post it until I've mentioned something else regarding Myria Core. I hate to say it, but as much fun as the thread is, it completely defeats the feel of it to know that it's never going to end. That their war won't ever cease. That the Darkness will never die. I have a really neat idea to end it, very dramtic, very.... Very Final Battle-ish. And I like it, but I'd like to know if that 'Final Battle' is ever going to come? Everyone's there. The Darkness has been located, why can't they go fight it? Why won't they? Frankly, I can't think of a reson that Aren would stay away from the spot. She knows herself to be strong, if the others keep stalling, she'll go alone to fight. It's not what I would actually want, but it's what she would do. And then they'd be short a Savior and have to wait another couple centuries, during which the world would decay further. And further. and further.... So. Will the war ever be decided? Or will it drag on and on until I just have to get Aren killed or break character?

Much as I hate to say it, I'm completely with Silent on this one.
I love the feel of the Core RP now, but they have no reason to be screwing around.
We did come very very close to fighting, even using the war room...
But we never did anything.
Here's my proposal. And listen before attacking me in blind chibi rage, Kiku.
We move the story to this "final battle" and we fight it. Thus technically ending the Core RP. Not. If they're really any sort of Saviors and they love Myria so much, they're going to at least stick around to help clean the place up. If not settling down there for good.
So that's what I say.

Please be rational, Kiku. We aren't saying kill the thread, just this story arc. Maybe start a new thread if you want, but it's Myria. It's the heart of this place. It can't be cut off, but it does need to grow. Now like I said, I have a neat idea. A climatic, dramtic idea that I will not disclose. And I think it'd be neat to do the 'After the War'
And that's whjere Dark Myria branches off, that final battle where the Saviors lost instead of won. Except in the core, of course, they'd win. And I've been trying to build up to it. My character's been developing in anticipation of this fianl battle. Not, mind you, not for some long drawn out pre-fight jumble of meaningless nonsense.

*Blinks* Why would I rage? I'm with you both on this one. I'm tired of sitting and waiting around! stressed Princess Kiku has nothing to do until the battle starts to fight. Even then, she'll have to stay on sidelines and only use distance magic. (As that is her specialty)
So I say move it! ninja I want to make one of my Dark Myria characters so I can play a bigger part! domokun I wanna participate too ya know!

Hey, Silent said she liked the Earth idea but had another one.
(Which she has yet to reveal... stare )
And I've heard nothing about it from the rest of you.
What are your stances on it?
It's kind of neccessary to know...
I (probably hopelessly mistakenly) hope to actually open and start the spin-off Dark RP subforum simultaneously with the beginning of the "New Myria" story. You know, as soon as the "Final Battle" ends...
It's never going to happen if I (and anyone one else who's helping me) get some sort of something together and it would be nice if everone (or at least a good chunk of the active vets) had some say and their approval put into the final Dark story.
Also, on a completely different note: If we're having a whole subforum for the Dark ending of Myria, why not splurge and make one for the ending where the saviors are victorious? You know, RP the "Final Battle" in the original thread, then post the separate endings as stickies in their respective forums? I think it would be a cool sort of idea. We end the Core thread at the turning point of the battle, lock it and place it in a place of honor (most likely a subforum made to honor the old and finished threads of Myria (not the lost threads one, for we shall never lose Myria!)), and then write both endings, but keep them sepperate.
Just throwing out the thought guys!
(PS: I'll cover at least partial costs if the Guild funds can't cover this.)

Neat. People would have to look at the subforums, then. I'll help pay too, although I think, maybe, the Lost Threads, ought to be changed to something else. 'Archives' maybe. And the Myria Core can be placed as an announcement in it.
But this also leaves the question of: what about the main forum? stay as is? or change it?
And I have no intention of recealing my plot to anyone until the battle is begun. Suffice it to say, it gives the Saviors a trump card. (And you might be able to figure it out by reading her thoughts upon the matter.)
