RP Response: Aurelia liked these moves and it gave her a chance to calm down after her near fall, smiling as they danced together up to the guitar riff that cued their headbanging. Her shorter hair flailed and flicked out as much glitter as his did, trying to be in sync with him. She felt the dizziness, too, but apparently it hadn’t hit her as much as it had him. She watched him starting to go down and made a quick choice; as his butt met the ice, she got down on her knees and did an air guitar move as they both slid forward for a moment, trying to play up the move like it was planned to the crowd and judges. They both got up and she took his hands, skating backwards as Meadow skated forwards till they heard the music change for their next move. She nodded to him and dropped down while holding his hands so that she could slide under his legs, turn and then slide back out to stand up again. It was a little harder than she remembered but she was concentrating; they had to rotate so he could do the same, still holding his hands.

Landing the Double Axel, Eira gracefully lowered her left leg to the ice so she was back to skating with both legs. She turned around and faced her partner, holding back a resigned sigh as she caught the look in his eyes and knew what he was thinking. She had seen that look plenty of times during the times they practiced together. Always cheerfully undervaluing himself whenever he made a mistake, no matter how small and insignificant they were.
He was such a walking contradiction; always so bubbly and brightly positive, always wanting to make friends, yet he was always selling himself short. Eira honestly couldn't tell if it was his self-confidence or his self-esteem that needed a good boost. She hoped that by doing well in this competition it would help raise his spirits and how he saw himself.
[Time Skip]
Positioning themselves in the middle of the rink, Eira could feel Gadriel squeezing her hand tightly. Squeezing back to reassure him, she said softly to him, “It’s okay. Be calm. You've got this.”
Hearing the music come on, the very same piece that her mother skated to for her first professional competition, she heard Gadriel whisper, “Showtime!”

RP Response: Klaus was watching Eira with a intensity that he tried to hide. She did not know how he felt truly but after tonight she would.
Her presence on the ice was fluid, graceful and in his opinion perfection. He could not contain a grin as he watched her.
Moving into the ice to get in their starting position their music blared and the look on the judge's faces were priceless. Stifling a laugh Klaus looked over at Eira and nodded. Feeling the music Klaus began his movements, quick and precise. Hand in hand they skated around the frigid rink with a smile on their faces and red in their cheeks.

Forcing him into a sparkly costume, hmm? Well, then that meant he was going to decide on what music they'd dance to, regardless of the kumiho's input. Valory would have been informed ahead of time, of course, but the selection was sealed in stone now--no amount of tantrums or protests could change it. He grinned a little toothily at Valory as the lights dimmed, and the low, mournful notes of a cello accompanied by the eerie wails of violins filled the air.
It was a more somber orchestral piece for sure, but the way it grew in intensity and emotion throughout the song would only highlight their crisp motions and some of the more dramatic moves of the performance. "Hope you haven't gained much weight, princess." He murmured, sweeping his arms up as he prepared to start.

She loved the way it felt to be skating with him, the music pounding through her body as they moved to it. They both had unapologetic grins on their faces as the judges... Well, as they judged them! The looks on their faces were actually kind of funny but she had to focus on her partner. As they curved around in a circle Eira bent her body in a graceful arc, Klaus holding onto her as she sliced her claws across the ice. When he pulled her back up, she spun in his arms so he could lift her smoothly into their next move. WC: 107

RP Response: Klaus was enjoying himself immensely, the feel of Eira in his arms was perfection. She looked angelic as she skated, her cheeks rosy, her grin wide and adorable, her eyes sparkling and her hair seemed to glow in the chilly air.
He knew she was enjoying showing off but even he was taken aback when she clawed the ice making it fly in the air towards him landing on his face making it cold. He could not contain a small chuckle as she spun up and into his arms preparing herself for the next move.
Using his strength he gripped her up and over his head as he began to spin in rapid circles, her arms at her sides with the wind whipping about them as they became one with it.
Hearing her breath quicken, he slowly slid her down his side and placed her back on her feet.

They were just friends, but... did he feel something more than that? The thought sent her heart racing even faster as she did her best to continue focusing on the moves to their routine. Each spin, lift, and turn set her to gasping as her thoughts fell over themselves and fought for dominance in her brain. Not now, she told herself. After. RP Response: Klaus saw that wicked grin that appeared on her face a few moments after setting her back on her dainty feet. Each turn, move, spin she seemed to become more confident, more beautiful although how this was possible he did not know. Her beauty knew no bounds.
Each time he looked at her he felt as if he was floating he had to force himself to concentrate on the moves, the competition was very important to Eira and he was determined to do the absolute best for her.
But he could not help but feel like something had changed with her, she seemed to be preoccupied with something. Her movements were fluid but a tad rigid but he was sure only he noticed it.
He spun her out so they could gain momentum for the outward toss before she went into her move. He hold onto her hand a bit more tightly then usual, he just needed that physical connection with her for as long as he could.

He really was amazing, and she always felt so comfortable with him. She needed to relax now, and trust that he would always catch her and not just while they were skating. As he let go, she went into her spin. Going up on the tips of her skates Eira raised her hands above her head to streamline her body and cut down on air resistance. She made Klaus her steady point, her head snapping back to look at him with each turn. WC: 105

RP Response: Klaus stood transfixed by Eira. Her movements so graceful it was as if she was made to skate on the ice. To him it felt like the ice and her were one, she belonged here.
He held his breath as she raised her small delicate hands above her head and to to the tip of her skates twirling about like a ballerina. It humbled him to see her enjoyment that was clearly shown on her lovely face. Each turn she had her eyes set on him, making him feel as if they were the only two in the arena. Something in her eyes gave him a pang deep in his chest and his breath quicken. It was there one moment and gone the next but he knew what he saw. A glimpse of her feelings, and he was amazed.
Awaiting her to return to him, his heart beat fast in anticipation of having her near.

The music came back, a growling scream growing in volume as she skated a circle around him. The singer came to a crescendo as she tugged him into the next part of their routine, a complicated set where they mirror the movements of their skates. It was difficult, and had probably taken them days to perfect it without tripping over each other, but it was also quite possibly one of her favorite moves. One where they had to be perfectly in sync or it would look awful. She grinned up at Klaus and knew they would nail it this time as they had so many others. WC: 132

RP Response: They were nearing the climax of their routine, one that either would go very well or very badly. Keeping still was very difficult for him, he wanted to keep his eyes on Eira. Her movements enthralled him he ached to se her then suddenly she was there in front of his eyes pulling him towards her to do the complicated part of their routine.
Inhaling quickly Klaus concentrated on the movements he was to do and he made the mistake of risking a glance at Eira. That grin! It would be the death of him one day he knew. He softly said "My heart...." then they began to move, their movements were as one. Never missing a beat, they moved together as the music got faster, more the voice became deeper and the words became incomprehensible. The music was his catalyst but his true reason for being here was Eira.
Suddenly the set was done and they were back standing in front of each other, a quick breather before the next part of their routine was to begin. His eyes searched hers looking for some sign she heard him whisper but nothing was to be seen. Maybe he imagined the signs before and that hurt him deeply but he forced it down. He had to finish this routine for her it was all he could give her so it seemed.

She smiled at him as they came to a halt, taking a breath between the movements of their routine. "I..." she started, but cut herself off. Later. There would be time later. She blushed up at him as they began the last part, the drums beating a harsh rhythm for their skates to follow. Despite the near painful sounding screams and the hard pounding of the music, this was the calmest part of their set. The cool down before the last lift as the song died out. Klaus would lift her up high and hold her as they glided across the ice to end before the judges, with a gasp-inducing moment where he would drop her then catch her again just before she hit the ice. RP Response: The last part of their routine was about to begin, breathing heavily Klaus stared off into space for a moment to collect his thoughts and calm himself as they halted for a few moments.
Eira's voice caught his attention he turned back towards her and he softly heard "I..."but she did not finish. The blush that tinged her already rosy cheeks bewildered him for a moment then hope blossomed in his chest. Maybe she heard him and was trying to say something in return but was either shy or unsure. He wanted to grin in happiness but thought better of it.
The drums were vibrating the rink, this part of their routine was the easiest. They had to follow the beat of the drums with their skates, sometimes adding in a twist, turn or flip. Nothing they couldn't handle.
Off they went hand in hand, moving their feet in perfect rhythm. Turning Eira in a circle he caught her eye mouthed you ready and they took off towards the judge's tables. There he skated around Eira and she so him, going out farther then suddenly she gained momentum and skated straight towards him. Not missing a beat, he bent at his knees and gathered her up high above his head, his arms straight as was her body. They twirled a few times then suddenly he dropped his arms causing her to begin to tumble to the floor. With amazing skill and quickness, he caught her and twirled her away from him slightly the pulled her back in tight against his chest looking in her eyes. Then they both bowed their heads until their foreheads touched, their breath's mingling.

Now so long as he performed properly too.... and didn't miss his lifts, or throws, and landed his jumps, then there would be no complaints from the perfectionist that could only expect such results.
When their song of choice came on, his ears twitched in his only outward expression of faltering. This hand't been what he'd picked... A sharp, cursory glance was made towards Tobias when he realized that a different song entirely had been put up than the one Valory had requested....And his livid expression was growing by the second.
However the music had begun, and there was nothing to do about it now. Luckily the piece chosen wasn't terrible... just not what he had picked. Assuming his position, he tensed only briefly at the jesting words muttered his way, tails puffing ever the faintest puff. "I hope you haven't lost your already puny muscle mass." he huffed with grit teeth, before their performance began.
