Siermana
I'm not in the best of shape or health, but here's what I do...

Whenever I'm hungry and it's not mealtime, I drink a bottle of water. I've only drink one soda a week, and I've cut the amount of junk food I eat in half.

I'm also in JROTC and we have physical training every Friday. I'm on the Raider team, which is like the Army Rangers, only for teens, and we have practice after school Wednesday and Friday.

For people who are not in JROTC: I walk one mile everyday, and jog half of one. I do 50 situps and 25 pushups and 30 minutes of kickboxing or dancing. Just do whatever you enjoy, as long as it gets your heart rate up!

I've lost 25 pounds so far, and I have 15 more to go!!!
Just wanted to update. I recently had knee surgery so I couldn't exercise or do much and I gained 6 pounds. It was bad...But, I just began again about a week ago and I've lost one. I now have 20 to go! heart

I find that walking and Yoga help a lot when trying to loose weight. Drinking lots of water helps get rid of water weight. Doing both at the same time not only keeps you hydrated and happy, exercise will be more effective. I've lost at least twenty pounds just by doing the above. EVERY DAY. If you stop walking or doing yoga for a long time, you will not be as good at it once you start back up.

I walk, sometimes ride my bike, and I have an exercise ball I need to do more often. I have the ball for core strengthening, so I don't have back problems from all the weight on the front of me, ie tummy and boobies, boobies, boobies! Walking is great and you don't have to kill yourself...just at least 20 mins a day is all you need to feel better. I like to find pretty places or parks to walk in. Or public places to people watch hehe people are funny.

I used to walk roughly 4 miles total a day give or take. Except on modays and wensdays.. -I walk to college and its roughly 1.5 miles, then i walk back i do this twice a day.- But I don't have th energy being sick... I have no metabolism because of my meds.. Stupid IBS... Anyways, I gained weight first because muscle if heavier then fat, but soon after the fat slowly disapeared. ^-^ I also take the stairs instead of the elevator. Oh also i flex my muscles to put a little strain on them Like I'll tighten and then relax, this helps as well, i do it alot with my butt because I need one.. >>

Too many times, I've seen women do things like weight watchers or Atkins and lose 20 pounds, only to gain them back gradually later. What I think is important is exercise. Exercise is MUCH more important than just diet alone. In fact, as long as you dont fill your body with junk after you finish your exercise, diet wont be that important.

Personally, I want to see more female weight lifters. The problem is that too many girls think weight lifters and think "That's just for super-ripped guys! There's no way I could do that. I'll just keep doing yoga." Lifting does not have to be with three hundered pound bench presses. Its more about the length and quality of a workout, not the amount of weight.

So, I would suggest going to the gym, taking one(maybe two) laps around the building and then proceeding with lifting. Olympic lifts are what I use. they are difficult at times, but they tone your body in ways you cant imagine. If you have any questions, PM me or go to the local gym and ask their opinion. Remember, I'm just a lifter. THEY are the professionals.

Man. I am forced to do deit when I sometimes think I don't need it. Here are some of my tips:

Okay, when you work out, you are going to have to keep hydrated. (Take it from someone who doesn't listen to herself) Though you don't wannadrink so much water that you'll be bloated. XP

Did you know?
That eveytime you take I think it was 2000 steps, you loose a pound? That's why I keep a prodometer with me when I go out! ^^
