Evelyn tenced up and bit her lip out of habit.
"I..I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything." She slowly moved towards him and then sat down next to him and placed her hand gently on his shoulder.
"I really am sorry." Her voice was very meek, as she tried to help him knowing it was her own fault he was like this.

He smiled slightly."No, it's fine. Don't be sorry." He opened his wings quietly and put one behind her back. "He would have hurt you, and I didn't want that." He shifted his gentle gaze to her eyes.

She lowered her head still feeling bad.
"But I shouldn't have asked." She looked into his eyes, happy he wasn't mad but she still felt horrible for making him think about it.

"She's in a better place now, love. No need to get worked up about it." His soft wing stroked her back gently.

She laughes softly and smiles at him.
"You're right. I'm sorry." She hoped that he wouldn't hurt her as she hugged him still feeling bad about bringing it up.

Shinji hugged her back and smiled. "Hey, since we're here, together, do you think you could hold on to this for me?" He put a chain around her neck with a black key on it. "So I won't get unruly, okay?"((Ha ha, lol))

She nodded and looked at the key.
"If you don't mind me asking, what does it do?" She turned her attention back to him.  

[Shimai_Tepes]

He turned back into a human, moved his shirt out of the way, and pointed to the keyhole in his crystal. "That, Evelyn, is the key to the heart of a Dragon." He smiled slightly. "As long as you possess that key, you have complete and total control over me."

She hesitated beofre running her finger over the keyhole.
"Well that makes me feel so much better...not." She smiled up at him.
"I guess I can hold onto it for you."  

[Shimai_Tepes]

He smiled at her. "Take care of it,"

She nodded and smiled back at him.
"Of course."

He leaned back and reclined on the ground. "So, where to?"

Evelyn shrugged and searched the horizion.
"I don't know."

Shinji smiled a playful smile. "You wanna find out?" He turned back into a Dragon.

She thought for a second before nodded and smiling.
"Sounds fun."
