Most people know I'm a witch. Anyway my friend and I were starting, back up, a pagan group at our UU Church. So our first meeting was on and for Yule. So this is not really them finding out for the first time, but usually they ignore it (maybe they don't think I'm serious).
Me: "So me and my friend are starting this pagan group at church and we're going to have a Yule ritual" Friend: "Are you gonna dance around a bonfire naked?" Me: "The term is skyclad" Friend: "So are you gonna dance around a bonfire skyclad" Me (totally deadpan): "Yes, yes we are." Friend: "Really???" Me (rolling eyes): "No not really."

Aye, it's one f-ed up world; Partially cause the dictionary states that satanism is pagan, partially because I wear black, and partially cause I'm psychotic most of the day, people think I worship satan gonk and a few other think I'm a poser cause I wasn't brought into a coven... cry

Silly people thinking you need to be in a coven to be pagan. confused
Anyway one time while I was down in North Carolina at a marine base for some training. (I'm a marine reservist) Well anyway I was walking somewhere, I forget where, when I was stopped by some random person. Girl: Would you like to come to my chruch tomorrow? Me: I'm not Christian. Girl: Thats ok you can still come. Me: I'm really not interested. *plays with dragon pentacle necklace.* Girl: You should really come it will be good for you. Me: sigh Girl: here take a buisness card
I don't remember exactly how it went because it was 4 years ago but that's the jist of it. She randomly stopped me and asked me to go to her chruch or church group and I told her that not only was I not christian but that I wasn't interested. However she still continued to try to get me to go or at least think about going and wouldn't leave me alone until I agreed to take a card. scream The card promptly went into the trash.

well..... last week my literature teacher told us we needed to do this weir comic-strip-ish thing, where we were supposed to put our whole life (autobiography thing) and the stereotype we broke.... so....ofcourse i put i was a pagan and the stereotype was...that we pagans turn people into frogs and dance naked while we worship satan and bla bla bla... o i puted that that was not true and it was a false stereotype...ofcourse my whole class was like.. class: u are a what? eek me: em.....pagan? ((i was planing to say witch that would've been so much fun, but o well, one step at a time) class: oo...cool... would you mind telling us more about that in recess? me: o.O huh? em....well...sure... sweatdrop
that's been the weirdest reaction i've ever seen, i mean, a calss room of 14 catholics telling me it was cool? ....gods.... that was unexpected...

Oh yes, school can be a very fun place when they actuley listen... I once ended up teaching a whole lesson about fey and arcadia and such for two hours in my health class my sophmore year... it was interesting to say the least ^_^

My parents found out I was Pagan when I was 12. They took my Runes and burned the dark oak symboles with hatred for the art. I had managed to steal 4 of them back and set out that night to burry them in the forest where they could return to Gaia and would never be found again. When I came back my parents were... well less than excepting of my beliefs. They forced me to go to a baptist church for a year and they put up a camera in my room. It never stopped me. Haha Now i'm 18 and practicing the art out in the open again. They will never forgive me.... owell life goes on aslong as Gaia grants me ground to walk on right?

I was talking to my Sisters guy friend about religion (i'm still not sure what the heck his religion is...) and i told him i was pagan, so he was all like "My religion says i have to burn you at the stake." And i was all... "The burning times where ages before this, you do know..." Then he was all "I'm very conservative about my religion." So now I'm afeared, even tho he was joking.
