I have not seen A Beautiful Mind, but I have seen the others. Benny and Joon is one of my absolute favorites. Another good one is an oldie but goodie, I Am Sam, about an autistic father.
Theres also Sybil, its a true story about a woman suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder as a result of child abuse. Its a very graphic, tragic movie but so so so good.
Also, Donnie Darko is another one of my favorites about a high school boy suffereing from schizophrenia. Its very ******** and confusing sometimes but, again, its great.
And Finally, not sure if this would be considered having to do with mental illness, but Sucker Punch is about a girl who gets sent to a mental institution and creates alternate realities in order to try and escape. Its amazing.
