MALL STATUS ANNOUNCEMENT
The PA system switched on, a little sooner than it normally did.
"Evening shoppers. Not an update here my darlings. Just warning. It is about to get wet. But it's fine, a little rain never hurt anyone did it? I'll be back later to update you all on what it does."
The closing tone played.
And then there was a few moments of nothing.
Then every single sprinkler turned on.

Peyton was trying to focus. Defense wasn't really her thing, she was a front line soldier, not support, but here and now she would try to give Finn the support he needed. He was doing a considerable amount of damage, she didn't want to dissuade his efforts. If he could kill it with Oliver and Milo's help, she wasn't going to try to take his place. What complicated things though, a great deal, was the sudden eruption from the sprinklers that soaked them and the floor in a matter of seconds. What had gripped a moment before now slipped uselessly. She tried to throw herself in front of those meaty fists, but her shoes skidded across the slick tile and if anything she only slowed it down. No, instead she was staring at her very wet ex-girlfriend and wishing she were anywhere else. And not just because her underwear were now wet again. The tsk was met with a pout he hid from Sasha. While she busied herself by leaping onto the massive beast, Otto launched a plan. He ran around the creature, kicking off of a store's glass window, and then off of the beast. Back and forth as he got higher and higher. Ultimately, he pushed off and grabbed at Tenya, using his weight and an added tug to pull the weapon free. Coming down from the tall cieling, he drove the edge of Tenya's form down into the c***k Sasha had made with Nona moments before. He was knocked off by the flailing beast, skidding to the floor in a crouch; ready to strike again. That's when the announcement, and sprinklers, turned on. "Is this just a ******** game to him!?" Nellie understood that people could be grouchy and thrash mouthing every single thing that could potentially set them off when they were having a bad day. Perhaps Isaac was right that Leslie was just having a bad day. After all, he did step in to save their skins from that big monstrous armoured infected back there so that had to count for something.
She was starting to feel a little better now and she gave a nod, lifting a hand to point to where the older Mist had run off to as she surveyed the chaos around them. "... is right though. Nellie and Isaac should chip in and help..."

She wouldn't make it to the umbrella stand, even if she tried. And if she did, and Cami followed.. No one was leaving that store. She stood up and wrung her hair out, before tightening it in a bun and wrapping a band around it. She closed her eyes and sucked in a few deep, calming breaths, which did not work at all, and then opened them to look up at Cami again. Jesus Christ boobs-"All in." Lex had noted just how grime covered his coat had become with the roll, but made no fuss about it in the mean time. He could get a new one if this were too destroyed, but he hoped it would just wash out. "So it would seem I have..." Lex smiled at Tommy, still polite even in a hellish situation. 'Lex; Charmed."
The infected thing howled and swiped at Lex, the Lifer grunting as he retaliated with a swift jab to its rib cage with the butt of his pistol and making a pre-puke face when the flesh yielded with a squelch and got fluids all over his hand.
"Could get worse, I suppose." He grunted as the infected howled and backed away, though probably not for long. "And yes, this new positive schtik is a lot more creepy than normal Rep. At least you could predict cynical Rep."
Then the sprinklers came on. "I suppose that takes care of the laundry." A half smile at his own stupid joke. "What do you think he isn't letting on?"

Roland moved about the base camp gathering supplies, passing out more to other hunters in need as the rest of his 'team' was being patched up. He never noticed Rep and his blood, or the screams. Most of that was over ruled by the panic in the back of his head.
Suddenly the sprinklers where raining down on them as Harrison and Rep gave back to back announcements, "Eh.... a little rain isn't so bad... it'll wash the filth away honestly..."
There was another crash outside, somewhere farther away, something he couldn't miss at all. "Hey... Rep.... what was that banging sound?"

While the creature recovered from the hit to the jaw, Al grabbed a headlamp off the shelf and popped a battery in that too. He put it on his head and clicked it on just in time to see the creature swipe powerfully across his shield again. He heard a loud muffle of voice before it became clear what the warning was for this time. There was a ringing and then every single sprinkler came on, re-saturating the intermediate. "Are you <********> serious man?! I just ********-" he swung Nuru with every ounce of strength in his body, possibly even using the added water weight to carry harder. The attacking creature was hit with such force that it spun into a wall, leaving a large black stain in the shape of its body. "I just ******** started to dry off!" he shouted to the disembodied voice that was Rep.
He didn't stay mad long, well aware the creature would return for more. He started stuffing more flashlights and batteries in his bag and when he ran out of room he started stuffing batteries in their flashlights and just attaching them to himself any way he could (mostly using the nearby baling twine). Surely he had enough to supply everyone in excess.
None of them were good enough for Noah though... not until...
He found the holy grail of floodlights and once he hooked it up to the battery, it lit up like the ******** sun. Yes, that was the one. It would do.
He started to back up towards the door slowly... flashlights clanking against each other noisily.
HP - 25/50 DMG - 16

"Don't lick the fluids, Lex~" he singsonged, pulling his scarf more tightly around his mouth. Though Horace was pretty sure some of the goop from the spitter had gotten into his mouth. The ******** sprinklers came on, and Horace's glasses immediately blurred. Wow, thanks, Rep. He made a note to grab an umbrella on their way out. Horace darted it, shoving the infected off-balance with his shoulder. His hands punched into it's gut, the tainted flesh tearing easily and he yanked upwards. It was like ripping open a pinata. A gross, squishy pinata full of intestines. Horace gagged just a bit. It retaliated before he could wrench his hands free, fetid breath ghosting over his face as it raked both hands down his arms. He pulled back, nearly slipping on the wet floor. The infected staggered and a loop of intestines spilled clumsily out of its gut. "Rep," he panted, "-knows something about what's coming. Something more than the infected we've got here. And I don't understand why he's with-holding that knowledge." HP: 25/40 DMG: 5 CHG: 3/3 NORMAL TYPE

Rep leaned in the doorway of the surveillance room, still rather distant and momentarily forgetting to put up his ultra-positive front. "It's either a huge ******** monster wrecking the defences at base camp or something worse annoyed I just turned on the sprinklers." He laughed. "Either way, it's no our problem yet."
