月子 ~ Tsukiko ~ 月子 Meaning Moon Child ~Blue Moon, you saw me standing alone; Without a dream in my heart, Without a love of my own. Tsukiko kept silent, deciding it was best to not push the subject any further. Instead, she simply rested her hand on Kyran's shoulder. Blue moon, you knew just what I was there for; You heard me saying a prayer for, Someone I could care for~

All eligible and available hunters would receive a text that afternoon around midday, sent from an unregistered location via Rep’s phone. The aforementioned lighthouse portal would bring interested hunters to a cordoned off area inside the entrance doors to a large shopping mall complex, the shutters are down and the car park - visible through the slats is brightly lit and full of cars - none of which appear to be moving. The escalators and power are still evidently on, whirring either side of the fountain itself, leading up to the second floor. The area itself is dominated by a large water fountain littered with various coins which is splashing merrily in the midst of a scene of hasty chaos.
A small hunter camp has been set up on the tile floor, with an injury tent, wards and various individuals milling around, it is lightly staffed however, with only enough individuals to hold the main doors and station patrols outside to make sure the perimeter holds. Any hunter asking the state of affairs would be directed to the mall itself and told to clean up stragglers. This is Phase 2 of the operation. Boss Phase 3 will commence on 22/23rd of AprilBeyond the main area there are groups of shambling infected wandering around, most are blackened to the point of being almost unrecognisable as something that was once human, twisted, corrupted organs hang out of various orifices and their eyes glow green. They vary in their state of dress, some in tattered rags, some in nothing at all.Roll a 1d10 to spawn yourself a zombie infected to fight. The types possible are listed below.

Open for business.
If anyone wants to explore the mall itself or try to do different things with the undead etc or the civilians, feel free to quote me, I have too much time on my hands, I'm happy to reply to things. For example if your hunter isn't the front line fighting sort, feel free to quote me and I'll come up with some mechanics to help the npcs or around the camp! biggrin

It wasn't long after the text was received that Finn found himself packed, ready, and standing at the portal with whatever group of others had arrived at the same time as him, raring to go. To say he'd been bored that midday would have been an understatement. He had been just itching for something to do, and while the mission itself was a bit balking upon first read (he had, after all, managed to get himself bitten and infected with something once before), he was still fairly eager to get in there and get things done. Upon arrival, it took him some time to get oriented and further prepped, eye scanning the area and whatever devastation was immediately apparent. His first attempt at help was at the injury tent itself, though he was quickly turned away and told to make himself useful in the mall itself. Well, okay than, but he wasn't about to go alone. Running fingers through his hair, he had a look around at those gathered, searching for an appropriate target or two that would make up a good team, preferably at least one sun that he could work with, though any others willing to go with him as well would likely be welcome. Already in the mall, Peyton spotted Finn as he was turned away from the medi-tent. She'd been taking stock of the supplies in her bag, making sure she had everything she had intended to bring, when the sight of a familiar face had her tucking it all away again and rising to her feet. "Oh, hey handsome. Fancy seeing you here." She was here because it was a mission, and no matter who the call for back up had been from, it just wasn't in her to stay behind. As a Sun, it was her duty to be here, to lend a hand as much as she was able, and as a full hunter even more so. Strolling over, the short girl buckled her pack back in place before slowing to a stop near him. "Are you heading out into the mall?"

Arorangi was there as well, supplies packed, dreadlocks pulled back, a look of casual interest on his face as he peered around interestedly around at the cordoned off area. He waffled on which direction to go first, idly spinning his spear around.
Chance was there too, but loitering somewhere near entryway, curiosity obviously evident on his face, though he hadn't moved yet.

Lydia snuck up on Arorangi and hugged him from behind, face pressing against his back. She wouldn't be surprised at all to find out he probably knew she'd been there all along. But obviously, a mall filled with infected, shambling, rotten, green eyed figures was quite the perfect place for hugging to happen, and so it did.

Thomas had no idea what was going on, but when the call came in for all available hunters, he really didn't think he had much choice except to attend. Upon arriving he remained just as confused, but a familiar face caught his attention, so he sidled on over, hands in his pockets. "Sooooooooo.....this looks fun!" He grinned, with only half hearted enthusiasm behind his words for once.

He knew who it was without having to turn around, a pleased expression on Arorangi's face.
"Good evening, aroha," he said brightly, and twisted around so that he could return the hug, wrapping his arms around her waist and then leaving one there so that he could keep her close to him, a bright smile making his lips curve upwards.
"Are you ready to fight some zombies?" he asked her.
------------------------------------
Chance's eyes slid sideways towards Thomas, one eyebrow raising in mild interest.
"Hey," he said lightly, flashing an easy smile at the other. "Glad to see there's someone else here I can talk to. I'm not so sure fun is the right word, perhaps, but it's definitely going to be an experience. You gonna back me up, or what?"
The smile stretched wider, into a slight smirk.
"It can be like a date, you know, how romantic, the two of us...getting our asses kicked by creepy ******** zombies and then stabbing them in the head..."

Dakota drew the collar of his jacket up around his neck, After a string of Sahara missions with Molly by his side, it'd be nice to just...have something simple. Not sand ******** dunes of hotter then hell.
He tucked his hands into his pockets and looked at the more bubbly redheaded half of this mist duo.
"You'll sun and I'll moon?" It was easier to fall back on something he knew for this. Plus Molly was a hard hitter, so she could easily be a sun hunter. Molly's hands were wrapped snuggly around one of Dakota's arms, her expression a mixture of horror yet excitement. It was a weird combo. The last zombie mission, for whatever reason, had rendered her petrified during the majority of it, but there was something exciting about being in a mall. It was a completely different environment than last time, and she could still easily see her friends and comrades. "Shawty..." Molly whispered, awed and with a bit of nerves. "...I saw a movie about zombies in malls once! It was spooky! There aren't going to be any zombie babies are there?" At the question, she gave an energetic nod of her head. "Yes! Of course!" She beamed at him, happy to fall into something they both could work well with before she leaned around him, having caught sight of some people she knew. One hand left Dakota's arm to wave like crazy in the air. "Hi Finn! Hi Chance! So good to see you both! Stay zombie free! OKAY!?" There was a pause. "DID YOU TWO EAT BREAKFAST!?" She then looked at Dakota wide eyed. " Did you eat breakfast?" Pixie Nyxie SunHunter +4 atk Heavy Heavy weapons do not do well in enclosed spaces like these! If you roll two of the same number in your attack roll (for instance 4,4) you get stuck in something and miss! If you are a ranged, something breaks and likewise! You also do double damage against NORMAL type infected

Mikael made his way through the portal without much idea what he was getting into. He hadn't really bothered to read the text - as he hardly ever bothered to read anything he received of an official nature on his phone - but when he'd passed the lighthouse, there had seemed to be something going on.
So by coincidence he was here too, looking bright and eager and generally making a nuisance of himself, he'd been sent out to find some zombies but returned in tears not long later. The life hunter who was trying to manage an already busy infirmary decided that they could use him and enlisted him as more or less of a gopher, relaying requests and needed objects in and around the camp and sending people out to get them. It shouldn't have been too hard, it was a mall after all.
Mik had decided this made him somewhat important and had entered the nearby craft shop, liberated some materials fashioned himself a huge badge which he'd pinned to his life jacket which said in big felt-tipped letters.
ASK ME ABOUT THINGS WE NEED.
It was almost a pity he didn't have an exclaimation point over his head.

His solemn look at her, added with a raised eyebrow just added to the emphasizing of:
"Yes, I ate breakfast." Not really, did a MRE bar thing count? He really wasn't hungry. Her wave to people he didn't know...(well he kind of knew Finn but dude was almost a dead ringer for a younger H, perhaps it was the eyepatch and scruff.), drew his attention to the trainees.
Then his gaze was away and he was answering her questions and yet calmly confirming there would be NO ZOMBIE BABIES.
"Unless you plan to be nine months and pregnant, I think you are pretty safe from Zombie babies." Dakota shifted, touching the runic dagger on his leg. "and if you see one, don't hesitate to kill it."
