Everlasting Chaos Everlasting Chaos Everlasting Chaos the_ilse_witch Everlasting Chaos And then it explodes because there's people waiting for it at the destination. xd rofl Yeah, I've read the I, Robot book. I know how this type of thing turns out. xd Counting... Actually the movie isn't based on the book I, Robot. It's based on a book later in the series. 3nodding But yeah, the book mostly explores the issues with the three laws of robotics. One of the stories involves a robot that's sent to get some funky molten stuff on... Mars? Maybe it was Venus... Either way they had some funky mining thing set up and they needed the liquid stuff to power the base and keep the coolers running. So the Robot was told to go get the liquid stuff, but the pool it was sent to was abnormally hot, and the robot could not have survived the temperatures. (Though the humans that sent it didn't know that at the time.) So the robot couldn't get the liquid because that would conflict with the third law, but to not get it would conflict with the second law. So it just sat there moving back and forth near the pool trying to both protect itself AND accomplish it's task.Oh wow, thats interesting, I should read the books ninja

There's another story in there where there's a bunch of robots that had been programmed to have a lesser degree of the first law, because they were assisting the humans working in low-level radiation but they saw the radiation as a threat and so kept 'saving' the humans, but something went wrong with one of the robots and the first law hadn't been programmed at all in him.
