Hazel snapped her fingers, just remembering something from looking at Clover. "Oh yea! I just remembered! What do you have against me and all other girls?"

"Oh will you look at the time," Clover said taping his imaginary wrist watch. " I got to go do that thing with the um...bye"
Clover made a mad dash out trying to get out the forest as quick as possible.

"Just tell her," Flo groaned. "Stop being so dramatic."
"Dramatic," Clover exclaimed. "I got my heart ripped out of my chest and I'm being dramatic!"

As the color drained from Flo's face it grew in Clover's.
"Little heartbeat," Clover roared. "Daffodil was more than just a little heartbreak and I don't hate you girls because of a little heartbreak! I hate you because your flirty, tree hugging demons that prey on the weak and sexually deprived! Beneath you 'save the forest' facade you girls are nothing but an unnecessary temptation that I won't be bothered with!"

The two girls wanted to laugh, but didn't. They just looked at each other and sighed. "Yea, most of us are like us. But not all."
"We have morals." Melinda said.
"Which mean that we don't prey on the weaklings and then dump them. We don't prey at all actually. We get a relationship then keep it until it doesn't work out anymore." Hazel chimed in, managing to glare at her sisters for doing the exact opposite.

"Well I'm not going to waste anymore time trying to figure out which ones are for real and which ones are still caught up in their mind games," Clover sighed walking away from the group.
After a few akward moments of silence Flo started to leave and said, "Ok thenk, I'm gonna go now..."

The two looked at each other and shrugged. "Umm.. Weird?" They asked each other, then laughed. "Jinx!" They laughed again as they said it at the same time. "Sorry! Soda machine is out of order, please pay twenty-five cents!" They burst out laughing again as they said that at the same time also.

Hazel sighed and touched her tree. "Wow.. Those two are good. My tree looks brand new." She said, smiling softly.
"That makes me wish I were an abused tree.." Melinda mused, staring off into space thoughtfully.

The rain may get you wet... Daffodil melted out of her tree drom her afternoon nap and smiled. Who would be her next victim today. She smiled as she saw Clover past by her tree.
But it gives me life...
