"I know a few" He pointed up tracing a the three in a row "That's Orion the Hunter" he followed one of the feet down and across the sky to the SW "And just below the horizon is Scorpio, the story is that Scorpio tried to sting Orion so now he stays on the other side of the sky" he pointed stright up "That's the northern cross" he smiled looking up at the dotted sky.

He nodded and laid down next to her pulling her onto his shoulder, "What is your star sign?"

He nodded and pointed up at the stars mumbling to himself a bit "There" He traced over a few stars "Aquarius That's your sign, mines right" he pointed partially across the sky "There I'm Capricorn"

He snapped awake at the sounds drifting into his room from the kitchen. He could smell the fine foods being served at the dinner and got up, his stomach grumbling. He'd have to get something to eat, but before that he'd have to earn it. With a groan he pulled on his serving clothes and headed into the kitchen. Valerie, one of the bossier servers smacked him upside the head when he came through the door
"Where in tarnations have ye been?!?! I had to send Tawn to do your table and his!!"
"I'm sorry I fell asleep after my route this afternoon." He shook his head, he really didn't have to explain himself to her, it was Jark he needed to worry about. Jared was his real name but he went by Jark for reasons unknown to Eric.
Tawn caught his arm "Listen I already served the first course and wine. You need to take the rest. Are you feeling alright." His nearly identical twin looked at him. They were unrelated, but looked similar, Tawn was about a foot shorter and not as built, not that Eric was, but Eric had some weight on the boy. Tawn was also about 5 years younger and looked it.
"Yeah man, I got a heat stroke yesterday from drinking to much the night before and then hurrying through my shift. Fell asleep when I got back this afternoon from my route." He scratched his arm and then went to the pick up table. His plates were ready "Thanks so much for covering for me, I owe ya a big one"
"Ah just buy me a beer later" Tawn said with a smile and headed to his pick up area
"You got it!" Eric hefted his trays up and balanced them then fell in line with the other servers as they started their well coreographed dinner routine. He took the plates out and blushed a deep red when he saw Nika sitting in his section.
He served the nobles to each side then set the one for her down "Enjoy Miss Nika" He smiled to her and then started to gather the dirty plates off the area.

Once he'd gathered the plates he walked past her, without drawing any attention to her he leaned over, refilling her nearly empty glass and whispered into her ear "Meet me after dinner?"

It was another hour before Eric was finished. He'd seen her head outside and hoped she hadn't left yet. Once outside the front door he stripped off his server shirt, it had gotten two glasses of wine and a cup of cider spilt on it and it smelled horrible. He frowned and draped it over his should running his hands through his hair with a sigh and looking around for her.

He stumbled back, his boot heel caught a small crack in the pavement and down he went. "Ah...damn..." he glared up at her "What was that for?"

"Naw, I just thought maybe we could walk and talk a bit, you seemed down." He was dusting off his backside and pants. "Thought maybe there was something on your mind. I also wanted to thank you for the other night and your help." He straightened and pulled a small carved wooden figure of a horse out of his pocket. "It's nothing special, but I thought maybe you'd like it. I worked on it for the past few months and finally finished it" He looked proud of his small horse, it only barely resembled a horse and was roughly carved.
