Hughes grumbled and scratched the back of his head. Fortunitly he didn't know what she was capable of so he didn't quite fear her glare. Then it came to him, as he could recall, it was Kasumi that would have been killed if Matt didn't interfere. "Look Shadow, the kid is bothered by his past and he wouldn't explain to me much about it. However..." Hughes pulled out a copy of the paper work he had given Matt yet had not told the alchemest he had done so. "He went off to investigate that, but it was under personall matters."
After handing Shadow the papers he pulled a picture of Matt in a recruit uniform, dated back when Matt joined the military. "Take it from me Shadow, Kasumi is just pissed because she didn't get the chance to kill Scar but Matt isn't a bad guy. He has a heart like anybody else in this world that would like to do good." The Lt. put the picture of young Matt flat on the desk and into Shadow's view. "Please don't get him into trouble, the kid has had a rough life. He had lost his father in the early session of the Ishbalan war." With a scratch of his head he continued, "It's amasing how he knows an Ishbalan killed his father yet he saved Scar none the less. That's truely something only Jenkins knew about, besides himself of corse." Once he was done talking, Hughes walked over to the back of his desk and sat down in his official chair, sighing with dissapointment.

Shadow looked away and walked over grabbing the photo and looked at it for a moment then placed it in her pocket and shrugged her shoulders. She closed her eyes ad let out a small sigh. "That may be so. Though Kasumi isn't angry that she hasn't taken him down herself. More like misplaced confusion. " Shadow walked over to the door and grinned remmebering how she and her sister would always be together and how when they where young she'd often be beaten oddly by her sister when she was confused. "No matter how bad a person's chilhood is, no matter how many ohrrible things someone has seen. That's no excuse for any actions you do that can cost someone elses life." Shadow muttered to herself as she walked out of the office.
She thought of her own mistakes, mostly, about her mistake in trying to bring back her dear sister. She crossed her arms as her dark blue eyes gazed downas she went abck to the office to continue her work. She walked into the office sitting behind the desk though she didn't get back to work. She had lostherself in her thoughts, her memories, her mistakes.

Hughes sighed wishing Shadow would understand how hard it was to be the alchemist Matt was. Kasumi wasn't the only one lost in confusion. With a calm nod the Lieutenant watched Shadow leave and said nothing. He leaned back in his chair and looked up at the cealing, wondering when Colonel Mustang would contact him again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Almost two hours had passed since Matt boarded the train. The two unknown strangers were still passing occasional glares and made the alchemist uncomfterble.
Matt shifted in his seat and stared at the two right back in the eyes. Noticeing the women's eyes widden. "So, where are you two off to?" Asked the Alchemist, giving a straight stare directly at the women.
She said nothing but her male counter part grumbled and then replied, "Resembull. You?"
"Same." Matt commented turning his head without moving any other part of his body.
The women looked away and asked softly, "So you're a member of the State, aint that right?"
Matt nodded and pulled out his pocket watch showing it to her only to see her slowly turn her head and glare at him in disgust. He then pocketed his watch and returned her glare. "Something wrong here lady?" Asked Matt as his eyes stared down at the simbol just above her left breast.
"Yes, you. I despise the military so don't go around flashing that watch." Answered the girl. Her partner shifted in his seat, feeling that she was offended, glared at Matt and looked as if he were prepared to confront him.
With a soft grunt Matt turned his head back to the window and looked out into the distance. The land was passing by rather quickly, but started to slow down. Suddenly the sound of breaks rang out through the train. Matt grabbed his bags and began to prep for departer when the women snatched Matt's wrist and looked out of the door to their small room.
"This isn't our stop. We're quite a ways still from Xing." She then pushed Matt back against the wall rather forcefully and then looked at him directly into his eyes. "I may have mistakened you for some one else but I still despise the State." Muttered the girl. She then noticed the firmness of his right arm, reliseing it was automail.
The sound of engines began to emit from the distance. It wasn't long before motor cycles and mercenary jeeps drove by, honking. People from the vehicles cheered, raised their guns, and fired one shot rounds into the air. Matt and the other two had bad feelings about this and sprang up to look out of the window. The sound of glass breaking outside of the room rang out through the halls of the train, followed by more gunshots.
Matt yanked his arm away and glared at the girl just before standing up and looking out of the door two see bandits in a neutral military form running down the halls. Without the first one noticeing Matt clapped his hands and blaced them on the ground, creating a small wodden barrier, meassureing at about three inches high. He managed to attempt this between the two mercenaries, the second one tripping and sliding over. Alerting his friend.
Meanwhile the women and the large man stared at Matt with eyes open. They knew what exactly he has done now the question was why and for what reason.
The alchemist ignored their silent stares and attacked the first soldier as the second snapped out of his dazzed state and tried to get up. Quickly Matt smashed the first one in the face with his right arm and then threw out his left towards the second soldier. Matt's wrist poped and his hand lifted to reveal a small compartment inside his arm, a spark erupted from his wrist and formed into a medium sized fire ball. Within a split second Matt let lose the explosive projectile which hit it's mark. Luckily for the soldier the heat wasn't much but the force did nock him back quite a ways, puting him to sleep for a brief while.
"What in the....?! What an interestin ability to be able to crack open the earth itself. However, this fissure in the earth that you have made doen't frighten me in the least, for I can fly" , Mamou said as he created a dense current of air underneath him that allowed him to hover several feet off the ground. " I wish to finish this battle up quickly. I wonder how you will do against my next attack?" With that Mamoru created a slow moveing, but extremely powerful tornado that he sent at Michiko.
Michiko had a look of astonishment on her face. "I'll give you credit boy, you are very powerful indeed. But you are dealing with a state alchemist after all." But she could not hide that fact that she may be in over her head. But then she said "I thought I would not have to do this but understand that you brought this apon yourself." Then once again she put her left hand on the ground and used the transmutation circle on her hand. The ground again started to rumble. This time a rock wall came jeting up on all four sides of Mamoru. Then they grew together and soon he was traped inside a box made of rock. Soon after is was complete the ground under neath him stared to crumble. "Now I've got you." Michiko was hoping that the tornado would dicipate if cut off from Mamoru but it continued its path towards her. "Awww crap." she said. She had no clue what to do with it. She made a rock like box around her hoping it would hold out but in her mind she knwe it wouldn't. As the tornado was all most on top of her the rock started to crumble. Soon Michiko was in the tornado being hurled up into the sky. She flew higher and higher then the tornado sharted to disapear and she was starting to fall. Being hurt from being carried up she had to think quick on how to save herself. Then she had it if she could create a fire barrier as she hit the ground it should soften the fall. She was less than 40 feet from the ground and falling fast. She snaped her right hand and a fire barrier was in front of her falling head first. She hit the ground her arms covering her head. She rolled onto her back, she had survived. She could tell her left arm was shatered and her ribs were not doing to good either. Her uniform was ripped, dirty and tatered. She was in a big mess now.
Envy "Damn this Kid....She asks so many ******** Questions..."Envy thought to himself as he was listening to her rambling and TY apparently Looking at him as if The bird knew something, and gave off a snarl at the bird, all the while watching Adenine go though her Pack curious as to what she was doing. "Why of coarse you can but I also have left my Watch In my office so I'll have to Go back and Get that as well. "Kasumi/Envy Vacantly smiled at Adenine as she asked him a question, Envy hating every moment spent with the child and that Annoying bird."Why don?t we Head there now, the sooner we get back to Headquarters, The sooner we both can start looking For Fullmetal. "Envy Asked all the while thinking just how the hell was he going to pull it off...He didn't even know what the damn watch looked like, let alone get in Vanities office. ((you know..I would think it would hit Envy about now how she was talking to a bird...how it seemed to be directing her..at this rate though, as Envy is not exactly acting like the Fuhrer, Adenine might figure it out too...just a maybe though, as unlike other characters, my character has very well defined limits when it comes to her health, of which is poor...so in hindsight, she probably won't see till it becomes dead apparent...)) Ty remained silent up on Adenine's shoulder, the bird much too large for a girl of Adenine's size. She knew she was looking at something not human, like the Fuhrer, but not even the woman they had met earlier. She did not know who this person was, but if it would further her plans she would allow this to go one. The battle alchemy was set up on Adenine already, just waiting to be activated, and at any time she could take control of the entire situation, it would just cost her little sister dearly. That was the only reason she had been just watching so far, was the fact that her little sister was getting weaker and weaker, still burdened with sickness, but if a time came where her passive, young sister was forced into battles she saw on the horizon, then action would have to be taken. Golden eyes still watched the look-alike, hating to be reminded that her little sister was not real, looking at these false humans and being forced to realize Adenine might fail someday too. She was so fragile, the alchemy that had held her together since her birth filled with holes. Maybe that's why their parents had left.
Adenine listened to Kasumi as she was told the watch was not with her, considerably downed but perking back up and already heading away without another word. This would slow them down, but she could probably make up all that time with the alchemy she would attach to the watch. Air alchemy was among the harder ones, really nothing for attacks except for a few sounds and blunt hits, but more for shields, hiding things, and as she was doing now, finding this. Everything had a unique signature, and using one's will to pick out the signature from others, a person could in a sense find nearly anything. The downside was it took quite a bit of power. She had so much power as it was, but her physical strength was also drawn on, as with every alchemist, and that would be getting in her way. Running down the corridor and out the steps, the main buildings and Kasumi's office was just right across the way, and maybe in a minute she would be there with how she was running, trying her hardest not to trip. Kasumi seemed to be keeping pace with her just fine, but it might just be that she was sick, but things were a little off.
Running down the next sets of hallways to get to the main office, she skidded to a stop on the floors, nearly hitting the door with Kasumi not far behind her. Not wanting to waste more time, she brought her mouth down to the lock, slapped her hands together on the lock while blowing through the keyhole, the alchemy activating. She did not know why Kasumi was delaying, but she pushed the now unlocked door open and let herself in. She glanced around, moving to the Fuhrer's desk and looking at all of the stacks in a very systematical way, looking to see where the watch was and sliding open a drawer, glancing about. Ty was doing the same, although as Kasumi walked into the room it was only Ty who looked up, Adenine with her perfect trust she tended to develop not minding another presence. She was coughing now though, soft, yet very deep coughs that came right up from her lungs. In fact, ever since she had stopped running the coughing had started; a hand politely up at her mouth without a single thought, just habit. She had to ignore the sore feeling in her chest, find the watch, scry for Edward, and then take him back from the shadows.
After a whyle Mamoru had finaly manadged to free himself from the rock prison Michico had created. Mamoru had been able to absorb most of her attack thanks to the current of air that he had created under himself. "Alright, I seem to be ok exept for the fact I got a few bad cuts and my kimono is completely shreded. I think I might have killed that alchemist though. I didn't mean to hurt her this badly. I just got stuck in her trap before I could help her", Momaru thought as he went over to check on Michiko. *Poke Poke* "Uh are you alright there Michiko?" Mamoru asked as he cheked to see how badly she was hurt.
Matt grabbed one of the mercenaries and glared at him. "What are you doing here?" He growled with a menacing tone, lifting the man up by his collar.
The Bandit laughed and coughed up a couple drops of blood until Matt shook him, demanding for him to speak. "It's a casual raid of ours, we're looking for money and valuble posetions. What do you think bandits do?" His eyes widdened when he saw the State pocket watch at the alchemist's side. "Holly crap you're a state alchemist. Hahaha boy are you in trouble." Matt shook him again.
"And why is that?" asked Matt.
The badit coughed yet again, spewing blood. "Because we don't like military personel."
Matt noticed the blood on his uniform, guessing that he killed a guard to obtain it. "Well too bad." the alchemist lifted his other arm into the air and clubbed the bandit in the face. Smashing his skull in quite a bit and nocking him unconscious, if the bandit was lucky, the worst that could happen would be he would wake up with a horrible cuncosion.
"Who are you?" Asked the male passenger, his eyes stareing at Matt hard as if he thought the alchemist was some one else.
"Matt Edison." Said Matt, "The Forge Alchemist." He added only to see the women step out of the small room, her eyes wide as if she figured out something.
Suddenly the girl launched herself out at Matt flinging her fist towards his face. However, Matt quickly lifted his right hand to catch her first and then threw it off to the side, quickly catching a glimpse of her left leg as she thrusted it towards his gut. With only a second to Lose Matt lifted his leg and pent his knee, pulling his lower leg backwards, to block the next attack. As soon as he felt the vibration of contact, Matt flung his fist into the girl's chest. Even though the punch was soft, the auto mail made it slightly painful for her to take.
Slowly the girl stood up and made a painful smile, "Not bad... I see your father must have trained you well enough." She wispered. "I'm Izumi, and that man there is my husband, Archer." With a soft grunt she recovered and stood upright as if nothing had happened.
Matt's eyes widdened, "You knew my father?" he asked. His stance was still in a defensive position as he was tought never to let his guard down but still he was over welmed with confusion. The young male had never seen this women in his life yet she knew his father. However, anger still flowed through his body, it was bad enough that bandits were harming people for money and Izumi's attack on him wasn't exactly charming.
"Uhhhhg.....that really hurts." She said. "You know if you have to kill me go ahead. I'll accept it freely. I may not be the best or strongest alchemist but a loss is a loss." she sat there waiting for the moment of truth.
"Dammit!" Kasumi shouted in her study at home. Slamming her fists onto the desk. She stood up and walked to the door going out to find her little pup, Joy. She grabbed a black jacket and slipped her arms through the sleeves then pulled it over her shoulders. Before she forgot she took the key out from her pocket and locked her house then placed it back in her pocket. She walked away from her house deicding to go back to where she lost Joy, maybe he'd be there again. She walked into a dark alley, blending in the with the darkness of the alley. Appearing as nothing more then a figure of darkness as her dark blue eyes moved from side to side looking for any signs of any human life at all. 'Eyes of a killer' would fit her expression right now. Only two things in this whole world mattered to her, Shadow and Joy. She never understood why it was she was attached to these two so much but some things are better left unknown.
"Okay, I'll try to be your guide but I was just recently transfered to central, but I will try my best. But first is to get my injurys taken care of. I seemed to have broken my left arm, and a few ribs and possibly a leg, not to mention all of my cuts and bruises..." Michiko just seemed to trail off then she suddenly said, "Oh no, my uniform.....they'll have my head for this, and fighting in the middle of the street." She took a look around, any building that had been there before the fight was gone now. "What am I going to do?" The alchemist tried to stand but fell to the ground. "Could you help me? We'll walk to my place and rest up there. And as soon as we are both in a better condition than we are I'll give you the tour of your life, at least I'll try."
Scar sat with his legs crossed, resting his back against a brick wall as the moon shinned from over head. Kasumi's dog rested in his lap, it's eyes closed as the night grew older and the wind blowed softly.
A small Ishbalan child ran up to Scar and caused him to snap out of his meditated state. "She comes! Kasumi, the lady Fuhrer, is wandering through the backstreets of Central. She's looking for you." The boy said, his red eyes glowing from the shine of a nearby lamp post.
"And what of Matt Edison? Where has he run off to?" Scar asked curious about the Forge Alchemist's well being.
The boy frowned, "No word sir, his dissapearence was kept seceret. Even Lance Corporal Jackup Bucanon has no idea of where the alchemist has run off to." the child frowned as if feeling he had failed the older male.
Scar slowly got up and picked the dog up, resting it ont his right arm as he began to walk away. "Take me to Kasumi." Ordered Scar as he turned around and looked at the young child.
With a firm stance the boy nodded and began to lead Scar towards the Fuhrer who was only a mile away.
After twenty minutes the boy stopped and wispered softly as he pointed towards a faint shadow, "There she is." But when he turned around to get acknowledgement, he relised Scar had vanished. When he turned to look back at the girl standing alone, her appearence being shown by the light of an over head street light. He then noticed another shadow moveing towards Kasumi, the figure was then identified as Scar.
"So, do you have the answer for me?" Scar asked as he approached Kasumi. His red eyes glowing from the light being given off from the lamp above the Fuhrer. Her dog craddled in his right arm and it's head rested on the palm of his hand as it slept peacefully. Scar's grip was more than comfterble for the pup.
Kasumi turned around. She stared at Scar with such hatred. Her dark blue eyes narrowed at him then looked at Joy. She was relieved to see that Joy was okay, for the time being at least. "Let me ask you one wuestion first. Why should I trust you ? You've killed many State Alchemists, all of which who had nothing to do with the Ishbal Massacre. Why would you give up the only advantage you have over me?" Kasumi had completly turned around and had stopped walking. The lamp over head seemed to hide her eyes in the shadows. The homunculi was growing tired of this and crossed her arms and tapped her right foot on the ground in annoyance.
"As Adenine searched for the watch,Envy thought it was the best oppertunity to Ditch her."Nows my chance to get away from her....I'm tired of this searching bullshit...I've been searching for people since I arrived in this damn city....So ******** annoying.." as Envy then creeped out of Kasumi's office not noticing that TY was Still watching him.
Comming upon the Enterance Roy Walked up the steps towards the Door and Went in."Things are being kept from me and I'm getting courious as to why....I need answers...But from who...."Roy thought as he headed down the hall towards his office.Just then he notices Kasumi not far from her office."Fuhrer Mam,I've Reported in late to get an early start on the days paperwork."Roy saluted to the Fuhrer."Ohh...yes.....Mus...tang...Nice to see that your getting ahead start."Envy said shocked at the sight of the colonel..Considering he had to Turn his head at the colonel's Door to check out his name."keep up the good work...and who knows...Maybe you'll get a promotion sometime soon.""Thank you Mam...Just doing my duties for both city and state."Roy then bowed to Kasumi/Envy.He noticed something odd about her.but he couldnt quite put a finger on it."well then,I must be off.I forgot an Important Document that I ment to take home with me so now I'm going home...Take care Colonel.""Yes mam,Goodnight."they said to one another as Envy then continued to walk down the hall and out of headquarters. ".....wonder what that was all about...." Roy thought as he unlocked the door to his office.upon entering,he sat down and began to ponder."Well....I'd call Hawkeye to help me with this...But...She just as clueless as I am....why the hell was Alice and Matt were in that warehouse with Scar...I dont understand that at all...I mean...Matts a State Alchemist and Scar is appearently after Alchemists From the state..But why Of all people would Scar excempt Him from The others Fate....hmmm..This is a long shot....But I wonder if Maes Knows anything more about all this."He pondered as he Picked up the Phone an Diled the lieutenant Colonel's Number.
