"I see," Hunter said and the barmaid dropped off a piece of white and red layered cake with a small fork sticking out of it. Hunter slid it to the young man next to him, "You sure do attract a lot of attention." He boldly let his tail curl along Alex's bare waist, unable to help himself. "I could escort you out if it becomes too much"

Golden-amber eyes glanced from the cake to the man and down to his tail, which was currently tickling the bare skin on his waist. A light flush colored his cheeks. Men of this House really held nothing back, didn't they? Not that he hadn't encountered such men before -- they were simply far fewer in the House of Phoenix. Or at least, in the bars Alex went to in the House of Phoenix -- though they were rarely highly occupied as most of his House were nearly always sent on missions. Alex was an exception to that, however, for no matter how good he was he simply did not take his jobs seriously.
"Mmm... thanks... I'll consider it," he said gently, leaning forward to receive the piece of cake, exposing a bit of the pale flesh of his collar bones as he did so. He cut a piece carefully and took a bite, smiling as the taste filled his mouth. It certainly was good. "Mmm... this is really good, thanks," he murmured, glancing up at the other for a moment, his pink tongue poking out to wipe away the crumbs that had been left on his lips. He really was quite a flirt.

"Anytime," Hunter said, watching Alex's tongue. This was too much teasing for him to be unaware of what he was doing. His tail stayed, letting the others in the house know that it they wanted this hot male next to him, they'd have to fight for it. The other half creature bloods all knew it was a territorial display and Alex was excepting it so they had no right to interfere. Ah, Hunter loved nonverbal conversations.
"So, what are you called?" Asking for a name was silly with all the aliases people had, so asking that would be pointless.
Hunter drank his ale, very calm and collected on the outside, but he was bubbling with eagerness inside. So he was forward, he couldn't help it. He couldn't just sit around waiting for someone to come to him. Most of his house, after only a minute of studying, was the same way. Maybe they weren't as refined as the other two houses (He mentally shook a fist at a mental Calypso) but they went out and got what they wanted. It really was a game of survival and the strongest survived, but Hunter liked that, it kept things interesting.

Of course, Alex was completely clueless to the clueless conversations of others or the full meaning of a tail lightly tapping against his waist. He simply though that this male, like so many others, was attracted to him and simply trying to make a move. He had no idea to its territorial inclinations.
"Alex," he replied, truthfully. It didn't much matter if he gave his real name; there were many others with the same name. Besides, he used so many alliases that half the time he wasn't Alex, anyway. "And you? What are you called?"
More small, bite-sized pieces began to vanish slowly from the cake as Alex's fork, tongue and teeth continued their neat work. Alex, for the most part, was unaware of what he was doing. He had grown up being taught to act appealing and seductive in every instant and so it all flowed quite naturally. He wasn't even trying to flirt; it just happened.

The conversation seemed to go downhill from there, but not for lack of quality. Vaughn thought they were having a perfectly normal, healthy conversation, one people would expect to see between two people sharing a cup of afternoon tea. No, that wasn’t the problem. The conversation was fine; it just lacked the ground-breaking intelligence Vaughn had been hoping to receive from talking to Lizard House’s second in command. It was a fool’s wish, of course. Calypso obviously didn’t get to be in that position by giving up the Dragon’s dirty laundry to total strangers.
‘But he sure as Hell didn’t get it for his personality either,’ Vaughn thought bitterly as he drained his cup, leaving nothing but the soggy dregs sticking to the bottom. Despite his proper mannerisms and elegant speech the kid was quite dull. Well, boring was a better word for it. Vaughn seemed to be doing all the talking and making sure to give away nothing of his true intentions in the process. He didn’t care how good this boy was, he was just as good at keeping secrets as the next spy. Better even. After all he was still alive. Unlike the others.
Juno… Mara… Gabriel…
Just the mention of their names and his chest swelled with heat, with pain, with sadness. And this b*****d probably didn't even have the decency to learn their names before he killed them! The fire in his chest burned hotter and it was then that he knew this conversation was over. If he stayed much longer in the presence of this boy his mask would crack, Celia would become nothing more then a disguise and he would would be caught. Good as dead.
"Thank you again for saving me, Calypso," Vaughn said, hands folded in front of him as he stood up from the table. "I hope we can have tea again sometime. If you're not too busy, I mean." Too busy killing more good people, that is. Vaughn bit his tongue. All he had to do was keep up this charade for a few more minutes and he would be home free. He had no intention of seeing this boy ever again, the memories his face resurrected were too painful.
[[Just a random bit of info: Vaughn doesn't know if Cal actually killed his three friends. He's just over thinking again. I have pictures of all three friends if anyone is interested. They're a big part of Vaughn's past so if anyone wants a look (not my art btw), then I'll post them on my next post.]]

Hunter smiled, "Call me Hunter." He didn't need to make up aliases because half the time, people called him "Monkey-boy" or "Idiot". It was fine with him, made him inconspicuous and gave him an image harmlessness.
Hunter watched the cake slowly disappear into that delicate frame and he watched every rise and fall of the fork, "So how long did you plan on visiting this place?" Yeah, he was being impatient, oh well.

((@Sin: Sure, I'd love to see them. Chances are that Calypso killed at least one of them, though that depends on their rank...
And by the way, Cal seems to have turned out much more evil than I had intended... oh well, he is an assasin, after all... >>;; ))
The change in the other was more than evident. It was almost painful for Calypso to watch -- almost. He had hardened himself to such pain. It was useless, after all. Perhaps it was because he locked himself inside so much that he was often seen as "boring." But really, Calypso was nothing of the sort. If he were to show his true colors, there would be no doubt about how truly interesting he was. Dark eyes followed the subtle changes in "Celia"'s expression, felt the heat begin to radiate from her body. He took a last sip from his cup of tea, draining it neatly, and set it back down upon the table, his dark eyes lowered to his own pale hands.
Then, finally, he looked back up at the psuedo-woman, a small, serious, and apologetic smile on his lips. It was surprising just how sincere he could be. "Celia," he said slowly, choosing his words carefully. "You have no obligation to remain here. I can see quite clearly that you are no longer enjoying yourself. And... really, that's not something I wish for. I did come here with you in the hopes that you might leave in a better mood...." His voice was soft, wistful, even. His eyes were strong as they met the other's gaze. He knew that often others were unnerved by his gaze, but... it was much better to have strong eyes than weak ones.
((Sorry this is so short! D: ))

Golden-amber eyes glanced up once more through a shroud of long red eyelashes. Pinked lips curved gently downwards at the question, though he looked no less attractive with that expression than he did with any other. "Mmm... long enough to enjoy myself and stave off at least some of my curiousity.... It's really a weakness of mine that I simply have to examine everything, poke around every little corner.... Fortunately, curiousity only kills cats...." he murmured with a small, light grin on his lips, bright eyes glimmering slightly.
If Hunter wanted to bring him home that badly, he would have to do much better than just a piece of cake. Alex had many higher bidders on his plate....

Hunter moved ever so much closer to Alex, turning towards him more in curiosity, "And what could this little kitty be so curious about?" He was curious himself now, and he was already most interested in Alex, so his attention was already piqued.

[[It's okay if Calypso is slightly evil / corrupted in the beginning. This way you have room to develop his character. ^___^]]
Vaughn was a little taken aback by the subtly melancholy tone of the boy's voice as he spoke to him. It was almost like Calypso was being sincere, like he actually meant what he was saying about lifting his spirits. As if he could ever do that for him.
"Don't worry about me," Vaughn said, smiling and waving Calypso's words away as if he were shooing away pesky flies. "What that pervert did is still bothering me a little. No big deal. I'll get over it, I'm sure. This is nothing a hot bath won't take care of. Well, I'll be going now."
He turned to leave, pausing just at Calypso's shoulder to lean forward and plant a faint kiss to his cheek. He smiled, though on the inside he was jeering. "I was serious about having tea together again. I hope you won't mind my company again? I know I won't mind yours."
[[Okay, here are the pictures.Mara is a wind-user, but besides that she's relatively human. Juno has no magical ability whatsoever. He's completely human, but still quite capable with his work (until he died, or course). Gabriel is the odd one of the group. He's a half demon with the power to manipulate shadows. I think out of all of them, Gabriel is that would have been high enough on the list for Calypso to kill. I was thinking that he can transport himself through shadows, making it child's play to sneak into the house of someone important to Dragon or Phoenix and kill them without leaving a trace. And, just for kicks, West is the man who taught them all, Vaughn included. I'll have his character posted soon.]]

((Haha, yes, I suppose so... <3 at those pictures, by the way. :3 ))
Calypso bowed his head as the supposed woman made her farewell, leaving a soft kiss on the teen's cheek. He said nothing, however. It was rare to find a soul who, even after having found out his name, was so capable in quelling his fear and hatred that he could touch the pale teen, let alone breathe the same air. It really was rare and it was intriguing.
And there was something... about the other's scent that was... strange. He couldn't place it -- it wasn't something that matched up with her appearance or her personality, making it suspicious.... but it wasn't unpleasant, either. Calypso sat there for some several moments mulling things over, his expression just as blank as ever, before he nodded to the waitress for the bill, paid it with a generous tip, and departed.
It was time to find some new way to occupy himself with while he waited for his brother.... He was taking rather longer than usual, though Calypso knew that the man's meetings sometimes lasted days.... He wasn't entirely sure that he wanted his brother to return so soon, though.... Sure, he was a bit... bored, but that was better than some things, wasn't it?
"I'm no kitty. I really do prefer to stay alive...." he replied slowly, having only just swallowed a bite of cake. "And I'm curious about... hmmm... everything, I suppose.... some subjects are more interesting than others, of course, but everything is subject to my curiosity...." he murmured with a light grin. The piece of cake had dwindled down quite nicely and he was nearly finished.

"Well I think the nickname fits you." Hunter said and dipped his finger into the stripped icing that was on the side of the plate, "Kitty, curious and sleek, and with a taste for sweets." He licked the cream off his finger. Well it really was quite good, the tingle of peppermint sliding past his tongue. "And you can be curious about everything, but unless you ask the right questions, you won't get answered what you want answered."

Golden eyes followed the other's movement slowly, lazilly, that same light grin spread gently across deliciously full, cinnamin-and-peppermint lips. "Mmm... I can always get my questions answered, whether or not I actually ask them..." he replied, his tone sweet, lovely, and confident. Alex had everything that most fantasies could ever want -- an appearance that could change just as quickly as the setting of the sun at the equater, a bold, sweet personality and complete confidence in everything from his scent to his voice. In other words, he was the epitome of sex appeal, whether he actually went through with it or not.

Hunter leaned closer, "Well I have a question for you," he spied a small smudge of cake on the corner of Alex's mouth, "Would you like to spend a night with an equally curious man?" He leaned forward, licking the icing from Alex's cheek.

Alex wasn't really phased by the other's boldness -- true, this Hunter seemed didn't seem to even try to mask his interest at all.... It was flattering, but a rather curious at the same time. Men from this House were quite odd... or at least this one was. Most House members he encountered usually at least tried to check whether or not he was an assasin or a spy or the like, though Alex hardly gave them time enough for that. But this man didn't seem to have any misgivings whatsoever. It was... strange, really.
A pleasant grin spread across his lips. "Hmmm... I don't know.... I'm not really sure if I'm too inclined at the moment..." he murmured, golden eyes glinting. He really did like to play and tease... it was quite entertaining.
