Marilyn was freaking out a little. No one ever got her muggle culture references, especially the American ones. This could quite possibly be the best year of her life. She decided one more test was in order. She held up a piece of cake to Adalae. "Cake or death?"
George was giving Fred a look which quite clearly said that he thought Fred would be a moron for not snagging the girl. George wasn't too worried however. With all this twin like behavior and talk of planning mischief, he knew Fred would not be able to hold out for long.

"Death, please. No, cake! Cake! Cake, I meant cake!"Adalae began laughing even harder now."'Ello Sue! I've got legs. Do you like bread? I've got French loaf." She swings at the air mining a loaf. "Bye. I love you." Adalae was having trouble breathing by this point, "Ah, puberty is a b***h huh?"

"I'm pretty sure they're quoting something from Muggle culture. That or they're both out of their minds." Ezra responded giving Spike an amused grin.

"Shut up," Fred mouthed to his brother. Not even twenty-four hours back at school and he already wanted to kill himself. Although this time it wasn't that his classes would mind-blowingly boring.

Dinner went on for a while and then they all headed off to their respective towers. Marilyn curled her arm around Adalae's. "I have a distinct feeling that this year has some high awesome potential."
George walked next to Fred in a purposeful silence. He was just wanting for his brother to crack.

Spike waved to the rest of the mixed group she'd eaten with and headed off alone to her tower, hoping Hufflepuff would have a lot of classes with Gryffindor and Ravenclaw this year.

(Hah, I finally found the link AND read through five pages of information.) Juliette spent a great deal of time at the great feast doing as she normally did - annoying Pansy Parkinson. She was a disgusting little brat child who couldn't help but add herself to the usual Slytherin stereotype. And ever since Juliette couldn't manage to get a rather charming Hufflepuff boy, she settled for the nearest hot boy - it simply happened to be Draco. Second in line to him would probably have been Blaise.
When the hat sang to Juliette, he said that Slytherin was the house for those who wanted to have lots of friends. Well, she joined Slytherin and found that they had lots of friends within twisted, warped cliques. Stupid headless b*****d.
Her eyes wandered over to Adalae. She appeared to be having fun (though the Slytherin did not bother to wonder why Adalae was miming buffetting some random object at an invisible person). Well, pulling someone into a closet is always a great way to meet someone. However, the Slytherin decided it would be best to speak with her again when it wasn't the opening festival.
Juliette swiped an orange before leaving with the rest of the Slytherin off to their tower. Hurling it at Pansy, she then quickly shifted over to Blaise for a nonchalant conversation. Ah, the year was off to a great start already.
(During what book does this take place?)

((Five. We were twitching over Umbridge.))
After everyone split off to their respective dorms the night continued on. Rather uneventfully. Adalae and Marilyn realized that they were, in some alternate universe, lost twin sisters. This brought them to the subject of the other twins. They briefly discussed them and decided it would be easier to continue their conversation in the morning. It was getting quite late, or early depending on which way you look at it.

So, an interesting thing about the Slytheirn common room was that it was a trap door in the dungeons that lead to the room under the lake. What exactly did that say about Slytherins? Why exactly were they next to the dungeons? Why under the lake? Did Gryffies used to throw sticks and stones at the Slytherin students when they came out for breakfast?
Lounging in the common room, Juliette rested her feet on one of the many skulls that decorated the room. The green lamps were pretty nifty and the skulls were alright after the initial 'OhMyGodIsThatAPerson's?!' Musing to herself, she murmured, "I think I'll try out for Quidditch team this year." Again. Maybe this time, she'd actually get in.

After spending sufficent time in the common room, concentrating on slowly turning bits of her hair purple, instead of blue, Spike decided she'd scared enough Hufflepuff first years and headed up to bed. As usual, she was rooming with a bunch of... Well, Hufflepuffs. Loyal, kind, dependable, and totally conformist. Nice enough people, but way more fun to scare the panties off than befriend. Looked to be an interesting year. At least she had those cool Ravenclaw's and Gryffindor's to harass. All they needed was a Slytherin or two and they could form a clique to make all the traditionalists twitch. Her favorite hobby. Yes, this would be an interesting year.

Marilyn groaned as light hit her eyes. "Damn useless curtains," she mumbled. She crawled out of her bed and onto Adalae's. "Good morning."
Fred had been silent all night and George couldn't take it anymore. The second Fred was awake he practically attacked him. "How the hell can you not want the crap out of her?"

Adalae made a noise that sounded like something a human should never be able to make. "Meh..." She slowly began to pry her eyes open, "Whaaaat?"
Fred's shoulders went completely slack, "Five years. Five years is how the hell I cannot want the crap out of her." Five years became Fred's easy way to refer to his relationship with Anna.

Marilyn looked at Adalae for a second. "I would like to ask you a very important question. Would...would you...be my bro?"
George crossed his arms. "Can you in the next five seconds give me one other reason that you are still with Anna?"

The morning found Spike finishing putting her personal touches on her bed and area in her dorm. Most people would decorate at night, when they got to their room, or once everyone was up, but it gained far more shock value if you woke early, decorated, and left. Of course, you missed the look on their faces, but this would be a year long game, so certain small bits of satisfaction sacrificed now would eventually add to the overall effect most pleasingly. Straightening the bedspread she'd brought from home (A muggle movie reference, The Crow. How can you not love a hot undead guy chasing vengeance?), she looked at the area of wall behind her bed and grinned. Between the Muggle movie posters (Star Wars, Rocky Horror Picture Show, V for Vendetta, Sweeney Todd, and Boondock Saints), the string of decorative skull lights, the band posters (some Muggle, like Cinema Bizarre, Queen, and the Beattles, and some fringe wizard groups, like Screaming Nargles, and the From Beyond, whose lead singer was incredibly hot for a ghost who never bothered keeping track of his severed arms). This should make the right impression. Smiling evilly to herself, she headed off to the Great Hall. A bit early for breakfast, but as she didn't want to run into her roomies till later, better safe than sorry.

Adalae blinked slowly, "I would love to be your bro, bro."
Fred sighed," She... We-I... Damnit George! Why do you care so much?!"
