Omnipotent Uncertainties Rainfled of Nimrodel Omnipotent Uncertainties Rainfled of Nimrodel Just to let everyone know, this is Eldarwen Half-Elven's mule! (Well, one of them at least...) My main has been banned for a few days...for directing people to another forum, I do suppose... Gah, I hate Gaia sometimes...lol. How infuriating, I take it you have already signed Colourblind Rainbows petition to clean up the forums? if not, you should. I have. I should sign it as this alt also. Lol. But yes, it ticked me off really bad. I've gotten warnings for telling people I've reported them or their threads...and now for directing people to other forums. It sickens to think that this is how people who merely try to enforce the Gaia regulations are treated, if anything you should be praised and rewarded, not chastised and punished, the same thing has happened to at least 2 of my friends, here on gaia.
Really...it is infuriating. Someone had to have reported me for flaming them over it. I swear that the mods have just gotten lazy and don't look into the claims before taking action...

-Saw people talking about the Clean up the Forums petition-
The Twilight Subforum Petition seems to be getting some mild success. Soon I would like to make a petition calling for a clean up of the Entertainment Discussion. Most of the spam in that forum comes from the fact that the new user's quest directs day old members to the Entertainment Discussion. The new members should be directed to a forum made specifically for that quest.

I feel like if Gaia had more moderators then they would take the time to actually read the reports and research into it. Since we have so few moderators they must be flooded with reports.

True, standard Gaian forums will often have a new thread starter posted every few minutes, its no surprise the Mods can't keep up, they are only human, but still, something needs to be done, its unfair to chastise Gaians who are trying to enforce the rules and lend the understaffed mods a hand.

Since I'm 22, I just might apply for the job...if they would accept me at this point.

What they really should do is have a NewBea board, that would actually "tutor" you how to cognitively post, instead of "Omg, EDWRD!" and "really cool". These are not cognive posts, and they annoy me day in an day out throughout Potterverse and DoctorWho. The Twilight thing is starting to die. Fortunatly, the week the NewMoon trailer was released and the board was covered in spam, I harrassed everyone about it. We did the "DISAPPROVES - GO TO STICKY" posts. Which only made it worse. Thankfully, I was never warned. I have no idea why. I'm certainly not a ninja...

Hello. My name is Jessica and I am seventeen. I play the violin and I enjoy to read or play video games. Favorite singer is Sarah Brightman, and my favorite movie is Repo! The Genetic Opera. I occasionally share this account with my friend, Rie, who is 19 and Japanese.
I...guess that's it for now.

If Gaia was a website founded on literacy and conversation instead of what it is now (money and greed, I bet everyone agrees with me) then they would take time to tutor the new members- show them around the forums and tell them where to post- and what not to post.
The only reason I'm against directing new users to the chatterbox is because I like the chatterbox now- beyond the trollin and 'cyber plz' there are actual conversations that don't seem to fit within the disgusting confines of the GD.
