Jek watched as Kri jumped the buildings. Okay, this is fine, not anywhere close to as bad as some void jumps are so whatever. Jek's eyes widened as Kri jumped off again, this time not to a building, but to the ground below. Oh man, I hope Kri knows what he's doing... They jumped, flying down the building. Jek noticed a man below them, they landed near him. Jek had no idea what to do. He whispered to Kri, "What are we doing here, do you know this guy? And don't jump like you're crazy! I've fallen enough from my own f***ing powers to not want to by you jumping!"

Bane spun around. The trigger on his rifle was already halfway pulled before the cat hit the ground, though he did not fire. There seemed to be a long silence as he stared at them. He was checking his memory for any info he could find on these two. "I'm surprised your both still alive," he said without moving, his voice sounding like it came from a radio. He hadn't ever seen these two in person, but had, at one point, been given short descriptions of both.

Kri tilted his head slightly when the other man spoke of having data on the pair of them. It made sense for there to be data on himself... but not Jek. Jek was from 100 years ago...

"You must keep really old data to know who he is," Kri growled at the armed man, his hackles rising as he stared down the barrel of the gun, "Now, either stop pointing that at me or attack, I'm not interested in parleying with the enemy..."

Kri took a half step back, settling more easily on his feet than he had been immediately after his jump. "For the record, Jek, I don't know this man, but he seems to know us..." Kri hissed under his breath, "I'm not surprised about me... but you...?"

Jek had no idea how this man would know him. Data from that far back would definitely have some corruption to it, or misinformation at the very least. He looked at the gun pointed at them, he wasn't too amused. "I don't know how he knows me either Kri, though I do know he better think before pulling that trigger. No matter how bad Lost Home wants to mess with me, he's not going to let me die. I know I have control again..."

Jek stared at the man; his radio like voice was creepy. "Are you working for the institute?" He waited for a response. His words either being his last, or saving him from being eaten alive by giant cat son...

"I'm not. Unlike the Institute, I don't erase the fallen from existence. My data is reviewed and renewed quite often," Bane explained. He literally hadn't moved a muscle this entire time; he seemed like a statue someone had left their coat on. "Now answer you own question."

"I am not Institute scum either, nor is he." Or at least he'd better not be... Kri growled mentally as he continued to stare down the statue-man.

If this man wasn't Institute, then there was something else off about him. He was too... inhuman... Not that Kri was one to talk; what with being a six-foot tall cat and everything. He quickly shook that distraction from his mind and returned his attention to the matters at hand.

"So if you aren't Institute, then why are you skulking about while their other goons are patrolling, or whatever it is that they do...?"

There was a slight click as Bane loosened his finger and the trigger slid forward to its normal position. Other than his finger, Bane still didn't move. "Updating my 'data' and making plans for my less-than-friendly neighbors. Thanks for the help with the former," he responded, "As for the latter, there's already been a couple couples today."

"Others?" Kri growled, "Did you see where they were headed?"

In the back of his mind he was panicking that the Institute members were headed for his mother. If she got into a fight... there wasn't a doubt in his mind that she could easily kill them, just that she wouldn't be able to maintain her form and shifting between the two was hard on her.

Mother... please be safe...

Unconsciously, Kri's fur bristled as he got worried. In the back of his mind he could feel the storm growing stronger in the void dimension.

Silhaku and Willow had not been the only members of the Institute out making killings tonight. If one were to make judgements based upon the figure coming towards them, that much would be obvious. Albiet, less useful than the powerful eternernal in this day and age, an average altered working for the institute still had his uses. Teagan Rowley was out to prove that at any rate, for fear of being cast aside by the place he called home for the past nine years.

At this point in time, he was coming up on the pair from thier backs. His approach was not meant to be stealthy, and they would easily be able to discern his arrival. Rubble shifted and created noise beneath his feet, and Teagan's breathe came in ragged gasps. He had emerged fresh from a fight with a rebel, and it had been an exhausting one. The evidence was clear by the weariness in his step, and amount of blood smattering his face and clothing. A minor amount happened to be his own, and the few scraps he had earned were of no concern to Teagan. The tenacity with which the other altered had fought was. They were getting desperte-- more fiesty, and those fearing for there lives always fought with exceedingly more effort than those who did not.

Shaking off his worries, Teagan left them for his sub-consious to ponder. Instead he brought the full of his attentions to Willow, and a second being he did not recognize. "Hey! Yo, Willow. Whatcha doing." He hailed her with one hand as he spoke, waving it erratcially.

Willow was waiting for Silhaku to reply when she heard a familiar voice. She wasted no time to turn and smile brightly at the old friend, which made her even more gleeful."Teagan!" Willow shrieked, running over to him partially and skipping the rest of the way. She through her arms around him in a hug, something that people around Willow would expect from such a childlike girl. "How have you been? I haven't seen you in ages! Wolfy and I were just contemplating if we should try and find ol' Retribution or not." She grinned, motioning to the smoke rising into the air from where she had burned down an entire base and most of the inhabitants. "I made a mess." She studied Teagan for a moment or two and then spoke again. It was hard to keep up with her. "Did you get into a fight?"

Laughing amicably, Teagan folded Willow into a bear hug and swung her around in an arc. He was used to her child-like antics, and right now they brought a smile to his face. Once he set the smaller girl back down, he waited patiently through her stream of speech to speak. "Well, let's see..." Teagan began slowly, stroking an imaginary beard, as he tilted his head up and to the right in mock thought. "I've been pretty average.... the institute has been keeping me plenty busy with work. I've been away so long, I even had to pick up some odd jobs, if you know what I mean." He winked coyly as he said this, positive Willow would understand.

Teagan had recently been sent on lengthy missions, typically involving taking out elusive rebels the institute had been searching for. When out on the field, money occasionally became tight, and Teagan found himself taking bounty hunting jobs here and there to rake in the extra cash. It was dirty work, but it was what the young man was most skilled at.

"I think we should go look for retribution. Sounds fun." Teagan grinned impishly, before taking a long hard, calculating look at the one Willow had called Wolfy. He didn't recognize him, so he guessed that he must be new. "Hhhhi. Teagan. Please to meet you. Oh no! The pleasure is all mine, let's have tea some time." He said hurriedly, giving Silhaku an odd little wave, before turing his attentions back to Willow. It was not that he was not disliked or remained uninterested in the new guy; it was just he would have time to get to know this Wolfy character later. Right now he was more interested in catching up with his old friend. "Yeah. With this rebel I met on the way over here." Giggling mildly he said, "don't worry, he got what was coming to him. How has Willow been?"

Willow adored Teagan. If anything, the Institute was like her family and Teagan was her favorite brother. She hadn't seen him in a while and after getting her new partner who didn't mind her at all, and getting to see Teagan, she couldn't help but think to herself what an awesome day this was turning out to be. She also considered telling Teagan about Silhaku's idea to look for an oasis and to relax a bit, but she decided not to. Silhaku could ask himself, if he ever stepped over to join in the conversation.

"Bounty stuff again." Willow knew what he meant. She had never been allowed to take up jobs such as being a bounty hunter because of her need to make such a big mess of things. If she was supposed to find a human or another Institute member as a bounty, she would be going against her home and she couldn't afford to do that. As happy as she was when she wasn't in battle and as terrifying as she was in it, she would always have a fear of the Institute bottled up inside. And Teagan knew that. In the past, they had been good friends and she had shared more than she had wanted to with him. But he understood. That's why she respected him.

Willow snapped herself back to the present and nodded to Teagan's suggestion of looking for Retribution. "Okay!" She said cheerfully, trying to shake off the thoughts coming up into her head. She had defied the Institute more than once and if they ever found out...
She watched as Teagan spoke to Silhaku. She giggled at his comment about tea and nodded as he mentioned fighting a rebel. She smiled as he asked how she was. "Willow has been wonderful, as usual. Wolfy's been treating me like a princess! I get to ride on this medal throne thingy and he carries me wherever we go. It's amazing!"

At all the comments thrown at him Silhaku didn't acknowledge one. He just became cold and emotionless Silhaku released a sigh and began to walk off, not really looked forward to meeting someone new. "Well if you have any leads to where we can find some strong rabels then point the way. I need better opponents then the weaklings we have run into."
He sat down and leaned against a piece of rubble and waited for him to respond. It wasnt that he didnt like Teagan, he was just being his usual anti-social self. He isnt really the type of person that accept someone just because they were on the same side or was a friend of a friend. Willow seemed to be the only acception for that and he really couldnt figure out why. He guessed because her childish nature brought out a bit of softness in him.

Just as Willow adored Teagan, Teagan adored Willow. Unlike many of the serious facades at the institute, she was the spark of bi-polar sunshine that could brighten up his day. The girl was like the younger sister he had never had. Of course, unlike a younger sibling should (or so Teagan imagined), she rarely got on his nerves or made him angry.

Teagan quirked an eyebrow as he watched Willow seem to slip off before she came back into reality. Nothing seemed amiss as she spoke to him, and he knew better than to ask if anything was wrong at the juncture in time. Instead he allowed a large grin to infect his facial features, and replied happily, "Good, good. I'm happy to hear it. This Wolfy seems like pretty cool guy, is he your new partner, or something?" Although he appeared to approve Silhaku on thr surface, below all that he was eyeing the other critically. Despite how Willow depicted him, he seemed far from emulating anything she might get along with. Obviously he didn't know the guy, but so far he seemed like a bit of stiff. Teagan guessed he would just have to wait and see. As Silhaku spoke, Teagan shook his head slowly,

"Sorry. I just came back from taking some down.... there are more out there. Just no one I know by name. What do you think of finding Retribution? I'm sure you would find some altered there who rank as more then just "weaklings"." It had spoken. Wierd.

Willow nodded when asked with Silhaku was her partner. It seemed the two of them were uneasy around the other and she didn't want to do or say anything that would upset one of them and get them fighting. It wasn't that she didn't trust either of them, but they were boys, and boys liked fighting. She knew Teagan would be studying Silhaku and that Silhaku would want to know about Teagan before they followed him into a fight.

She wanted the tension in the air to die down a bit so she spoke before Silhaku could respond, her mood had changed; it was dark now and her voice almost sounded emotionless. "There's more than one rebel base and I doubt we'll be able to find Retribution. Not to mention, there's more than one main base." She was speaking to both of them, watching to see reactions. "I say we find one of the closest main bases and take it out instead of trying to take out their main place out."
