So can I can get some kind of feedback on my characters already? =_=
That's both Kisuke and Va'an just to be clear.

In actualilty...I did put up both my characters for approval. Well...they were both there anyway. When I asked if both were approved, I never got any response. Instead I got an annoying and nondescript pm telling me that my character wasn't approved and that I shouldn't be roleplaying. For some reason, someone decided to be half-assed about it all and only check over Kisuke. Anyway, it'd be lovely if you could review both characters for me. Also, if I went around screaming Kamehameha and shooting lasers from my hands or pulled a big freaking sword named Zangetsu off my back and screaming bankai this or Getsuga Tenshou that, I might understand what you mean, but the fact of the matter is that barrier magic is a buddhist practice and not at all copyrighted or patented. Its a service that's been around for centuries. If I said that my character knows Tae Kwon Do would you insult me by saying 'remove it--everybody knows Tae Kwon Do is an ACTUAL martial art and therefore you are not being original enough' In short, loosen up. EVERYTHING is someone else's idea. My one character is a vampire. I suppose I stole that idea as well? Or maybe just because Kisuke fits the typical samurai archetype he should be nixed entirely? Who gives a flying flip if an anime stole an idea from history and I then stole the idea from the anime? Just because its already named doesn't mean I'm infringing on some patent or copyright. My point is, if we all tried to make up totally original material, we'd be hard-pressed. Every time you take a hit in roleplay that would invariably kill or maim an ordinary human being and simply shrug it off because it would make the roleplay less exciting to be put out of commission by every little boulder falling on top of your character or other seemingly inescapable vehicle of harm you're copying every action anime EVER. The internet is serious business and I'm not trying to write the world's next greatest novel here I'm just trying to have a little fun so do us all a favor and pull the stick out of your a**. On the problem of Eclipse affinity...uhh...I don't see Elika making a fuss. If anything she seemed partial to the idea of my using it, or at least that someone else was using it. 'Sides, if I wanna add to the theme of contrast and conflicting natures with my character by giving him the Eclipse affinity then that's my business. Although, if you still wanna be a d**k about then I'll just change it to Twilight and put a little asterik at the bottom explaining that it is also both light and dark affinity--and also that it does not sparkle. Please, tell me if you suddenly find anything else wrong with my character profile or would like to take any more points off my artistic license for poor attitude, Sensei~ I'm just making a point and while that point is valid and should be heard, I don't give a s**t about the barrier magic being a part of Kisuke's character. Its simply not worth it. Anywhozzles, I don't think the common rabble should have to STFU just because its getting on the nerves of some mod or another. Power trip? I do understand there are OOC threads for this sort of thing, but doesn't it occur to anyone that it might be a bit inconvenient to go to an OOC thread when the topic at hand is entirely pertinent to the subject of the thread we're using? I mean...character application isn't solely for "Hey, can I get this approved? Thanks~" "Approved!/Denied!" But should also be used for discussion on ways to improve the character or at least talking through a compromise of sorts...or at the very least someone *coughthemodcough* should invite the other party involved to send a pm to resolve the matter. I guess what I'm saying is I'm peeved too, but there's no reason to get all high and mighty with me just because I'm a fan of something.
TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL~ P.P.P.S. Btw our fearless leader has a few stolen ideas of his own...or at least the one I noticed. If the problem isn't that I copied an idea, but that I'm using the same words, then let's take a look at The 13 Taboo Swordsmen, or whatever that organization the captain put together. They all use 'Maken' which is totally ripped from Soul Eater. Now while the idea deviates from that of the anime, the name of the weapon is still the same. Words are always free and never subject to licensing or any kind of ownership. In other words, don't even try to pin that $4!# on me.

Uhmm...I really don't see what's wrong with including an ancient, traditional buddhist practice in my character profile...the only reason the terminology is the same as what's used in an anime series is simply because that's the terminology used for this art =_=
Like I said before, if my character shouted kamehameha and he shot a beam from his hands I would understand, but this is completely different....

Anyway, I took it out since its not important and because some people can't understand the difference between a kamehameha, which is Goku from DBZ's special attack and only his, and making hand signs, which is common practice used for channeling chakra in the one making the signs and not at all limited to the Naruto series just as Kekkai is not limited to the series Kekkaishi.
Can one of the mods please pull the stick out of their a**, beat some sense into the others with it, and then approve Kisuke for me so I can get on with the arrrr peee?
