Eyes snapping open, Matthew threw aside the peach core, drawing his longsword with the glorious ring of treated metal on leather. "Beta, take the back, Alpha, get on me! Gabriel," He called, met with a crisp sir as his Lieutenants flew into action, "Stay with Hitomi!" Not waiting for the response, the white Lord flared open his wintery wings, sunlight spells exploding out across the small compound with a mere flick of his will as he took off out of the church, leaping into flight as naturally as a stallion leaping a gorge.

In his wake two of his men worked an incantation in unision while the other three swept out in the opposing direction, the leader of Beta focused on casting sunlight in key locations, rather than a wide sweep like Matthew. Though focused on their own labored spellcasting, each Lieutenant couldn't help but open their lips in awe as their Captain lashed out with a barrage that would leave any three of them bedridden for days as effortlessly as if though casting a simple light spell.

Throwing back their hands to cover their flaming green eyes, the Death Squadron howled in anger, blinded and confused by the sudden onrush even as they engaged their hooked claw weapons, Horun snarling as their slumber was compromised, leaping to the heels of their masters as the Knights split up on instinct.

Grunting as he put his shoulder to the door, Gabe threw his body weight into closing the main gate.
"Lady, do you know the Faerie Fire incantation?" He called over to Hitomi, striding to the next of the heavy zirconium-studded gates, mind already jumping to the illusory spell.

She watched as Matthew's commands were followed without hesistation or questionings. She felt a twinge of annoyance as he ordered Gabriel to stay with her, did he really think she needed a babysitter. Her silver eyes watching what happened before her they flicked over to Gabe as he asked her a question. Walking towards him she bit her bottom lip trying to remember that exact incantation,

"Yes I believe I know how to perform it but I didn't know that was the exact name and I'm sure I can do it but you may have to remind me a few things about it." Standing beside him, her wings made a sharp contrast with his snow white ones; it reminded her of what exactly she came up here to accomplish.

'Well it's Belial I have to settle things with,' she thought pointedly,

'And there's no reason why I can't help out with things up here.'

As a whistling silver fireball sent fragments of a Dead Knight shuddering into the lodge's left wall, a low flying Captain hurtled past the clear crystal windows of the building, twisting in midair to savagely whip kick the reforming armor back into piece meal. In the distance a Horun gave a gurgling shriek, cut off abruptly by the sounds of flapping wings and a tearing shockwave as tiny bits of clockwork metal rained down on the guild hall.

"Just think about surrounding your target," Shielding his eyes as another sunlight incantation rocked the darkness nearby, Gabe continued, "—surrounding your target in a neon aura. From there, the glyphs and words should flow. Just make sure to put the glare around the Squadron."

She nodded and turning towards the Squandron she felt that power become active within her again, it had just layed dormant like a snake curled up in the pit of her being. It rose now swirling inside of her getting closer and closer to the opening of her mouth. The words flowed out of her mouth effortlessly and she had imagined what he'd asked her but the effect was different than she had originally thought. The words seemed to swirl as it came out of her mouth and become a physical manifestation of her energy. The bright white energy surrounded the Squandron in blinding white light her angery fueling it ever stronger. The Death Knights shrieked as the barrier of light closed in becoming stronger than she had imagined at first.

'What's she thinking? We're going to get swarmed by the things!' Matthew growled, sheathing his longsword to clap his silver gloves together, middle and pinky fingers snapping together as his index, and ring fingers, and thumbs beat out a steady glyph. Splitting the pale symbol in the air, the Captain made sure each of his Lieutenants found a the glyph glowing on their foreheads, effectively protecting them from the barrage of dark magic that would follow the reconstruction of the Death Squadron.

'Hardly an hour through the night... I hope those sunlight spells hold,' the youth sniffed, spilling air until the heels of his greaves clicked down onto the wasted cobblestones of the road. Squinting slightly, the Lord could just make out the twisted forms of the squadron as they formed a perpetual dance of tearing steel and reformation. 'Luckilly the Horun fled after the first sunlight spell...'

At this moment and time Hitomi didn't even know anymore what she was doing. All she knew is that the raw power flowed out of her in waves of tremendous energies, her throat felt raw as if she had screamed herself hoarse. Yet she was positive that no sound was coming out of her mouth for she felt suspended in time and no sound reached her. She could see Matthew screaming orders and the Squandron screaming deathly curses as they fell apart and then reformed. Yet there was a distinct change in the light energies as her angry became more of a driving force; forms began taking shape in the light. All of them were different, some distinctly humanoid, some animalistic and yet others were just forms that couldn't be labeled. Many massed towards the demonic forms crowding around and over, some were massing around and she took strength as she felt their ethereal luminescence caress her skin. Taking heart in their support more energy just poured out, lining her whole body in white light. The forms continued their assault on the Death Knights, barely giving them time to form and reform.

Sliding two gloved fingers to his mouth, Matthew threw his arm out towards the west. Turning their heads in response, each of his men raised the same three-fingered gesture, calling their field bags to hand before taking off at full speed for home, shielding their eyes as they pierced through the expanding sunlight perimeter. While Alpha team had lead the Squadron on a merry chase around the Guild Lodge, Beta had been forming a circular field of light around the building, caging the grounded death knights.

Striding through the half-open gate, the silver-haired youth grasped the large ring attached to a horizontal timber of zercunium, grunting as he dug his heels into the stone floor, throwing his weight back into shutting the grand door with a dull clang before turning to the glowing woman.
"Just about done, sis?" He sighed, shaking dust out of his silky mane.

At first it was if his words didn't reach her yet at the same time she felt she had heard him. The feelings flooding her body were intense and the energies inside and outside of her made her slightly euphoric and the words he spoke at first meant nothing. Yet as the gates closed her glowing form dimmed and then as if a switch had been turned off disappeared altogether. Gasping in suprise as the sensation left her, the noise of the world shattered her ears and her body no longer felt lightless but like lead and it pulled her down to the ground. She stumbled as she hit the ground and then fell on all fours her whole body shaking. Her silver eyes that had been lit with her inner fire dimmed considerably and her pupils expanded. She felt like a fish that had been wrenched from the ocean and was gasping for breath on the cold, dry unforgiving ground. She tried to speak words but they seemed to disappear before reaching her lips. Finally she managed to speak two words:

"What happened?"

With a sigh of relief, Matthew flashed a silver grin down to Hitomi. "Looks like you took it a little too far," He brothe, sliding to the floor comfortably in front of the black winged angel. 'Without their mounts, the Death Squadron isn't going to take any chances; They'll probably take off at the rising sun.' Biting his lip for a moment, he found her silver eyes, "You did good."

Raising his hand towards his bag by the gate, the youth applied a flick of his will. With a slow shudder, the drawstring satchel flexed, and then convulsed in the air, swelling and expanding into a thick blanket. Stifling a yawn, Matt reached back, slim fingers quickly finding the latches and clips to his limited plates, each falling to the floor in a collective pile.

With a final stretch, the Lord caught the blanket in its slow flight, wrapping it gently around Hitomi's shoulders. Brushing the wild fray of tangled hair of her eyes, Matthew rose to his feet, crossing back to the gate to lift his silver trenchcoat off of the cold brazier hook. Sliding down the wall, the youth pulled the jacket around his body before lulling his head back to the cool marble.

The sensation of the blanket wrapped around her seemed to have a curious effect on her: she shuddered at first as if suprised that she could feel solid objects then tentatively she nestled into the deep recesses of the blanket. Glacing over at Matthew relaxing she laughed darkly at his words, a laugh of disbelief.

"I did good?"she stated in disbelief a chuckle escaping her lips momentarily before she continued,

"I lost control, I should have never done that. And what help was I anyways?" The last sentence had a tinge of bitterness and she looked down at the marble floor that lay inbetween her and Matthew. She felt like a brat for getting so bitter but she couldn't help it, feelings that had been contained inside for so long had a way of coming out at the weirdest moments.

"Well," Matt grinned, not opening his peaceful eyes, "If those sunlight spells are still up, you can probably still make out a three-legged Death Knight trying to pull his arm out of his clone's chest." With a chuckle

Matthew slid his hands through his hair, turning his nose up towards — as he stuck out the tip of his tongue.
"Don't be such

... a spaz,"
He chuckled, allowing his silver mane to trickle down through his gloves on force of habit. The effect was like watching the young man's face flickering in a snow storm, until the final strands billowed down around his ears. Pulling his trenchcoat back up his chest, Matt gave that same wolvish grin he'd teased his playmates with so many years ago.

Her eyes looked up sharply from their previous resting place to land at his face.

"A spaz?!"she echoed, her voice slightly louder than before than she continued with haughty conviction,

"I am not a spaz." She grumbled for a moment but then she felt a smile return to her lips in a mere second.

"Well maybe I was being kind of spazzy,"she admitted sheepishly. Watching him run his hands through his hair she mumbled something that sounded like "behaving more like a girl than I do" or something very similar to that. But when he smiled at her she was sure it did a peculiar thing to her stomach and she wasn't so sure if she liked it or not. It seemed to wrench at her heart and pull into dizzying heights, heights that she was sure she hadn't been in quite awhile. Whatever it was, her tongue seemed to swell two sizes bigger than usual and she was sure she couldn't get another sentence out. Then as that wasn't enough her stomach seemed to have taken a liking to acrobatics.

'Matthew's right,'she thought dreadfully, 'I am spazzing out.' It was like someone had rewired her brain and now her emotions were going haywire.

"Hundreds of years of studying magick in it's purest forms," Matthew chuckled, rubbing his leather gloves up and the goosebumps that ran across his firm arms, "Yet they couldn't take the two minutes to cast a simple heating spell." Shaking his lengthy bangs out of his eyes, the Lord blew out through his pert lips, a vaporous cloud greeting him. "Are you warm enough, Hitomi?" He asked curiously, folding his snow white wings behind his back to reduce his surface area in the chilly room.

"Hmm,"she asked, realizing that she hadn't even caught a single word he had said then thinking back she remembered a few words of what he had stated and had gotten the main idea.

"Oh no I'm fine actually I'm quite warm,"this was actually the truth for although she hadn't noticed it at first, due to her crazied emotions, she was in fact quite comfortable. Extending the corner of the blanket to him she asked,

"Are you sure you don't need it? I wouldn't mind giving it to you, I mean it is yours."

"Well madame," he laughed softly, "If you would feel safe being so close to such a predator as I, why don't we share it?" With a sniff against the crisp night air, Matthew set his trenchcoat back across the chair he rested against. "Besides, I've very little doubt that you'd call me out as a tyrant for stealing the warmth when the real chill set in," He teased, a slight brotherly tone hinging the amusement in his voice.

Since the night had not deigned to release the moon, pale blue starlight filtered through the stained glass windows, leaving the interior of the building engulfed in darkness, save for the long reliefs broadcasting from the crystal windows. When he'd first taking to night duty as a child, Matthew had been afraid to enter the grand cathedrals at night, the fear of being swallowed up by the darkness driving him to learing a myriad of light spells. However, after the first candle spell, the boy had conquered that barrier, recognising the darkness as simple shadows.
