Attila the Hun. I am obsessed to the extent where I reference him at least once per day.

Talim Ra
The muckrakers of the Gilded Age in US History.

I love writing, and they used the power of the pen to expose coporate greed.

Yeah, they were real heroes, weren't they?

Emperor Norton. He declared himself Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico, he made his won currency which was accepted by San Franciscan stores and he always got seats at the theaters for him and his dogs. He's awesome! I love his eccentricity. xd

I've always loved Blackbeard. If there ever was a being of pure manliness, it was that man. He didn't have any character flaws, unless you count excessive violence in the face of minor annoyances a flaw, which I don't.

I love Alice Paul. I didn't see her mentioned, and that she helped women to gain the right to vote in America.

Eleanor of Aquitaine has always been my favorite person in history. Married to 2 Kings and the mother of 2 more Kings, enjoying power that most women of the time couldn't dream of. Not bad for one lifetime.

Theodore Roosevelt and Winston Churchill are my favorite statesmen.

Wellengton, Patton, Rommel, and Attius are high on my list for military commanders.

On a miscellanious note, Sir Robert Peel ranks high on my list as well.
Brownie points to those who can name his contribution to history.

I tend to favor the whole Europeans in general. But if I were to narrow it down, it would have to be . . . Charlamagne or someone.

*Revives old thread*
Robert Goddard.
'Cause the press laughed at him and his dreams of a 'moon rocket', when he really wanted to send a rocket to Mars. 'Cause he read too much H.G. Welles. And because he was brilliant.

*Scurries off to finish essay on rocketry that was due last week...*

Mark Twain.
For his witty quotes.

And Lady Godiva.
I like to believe she is real.
Who else can ride through town naked and be remembered((and respected)) a thousand years later.
