I say at the moment because I tend to get enamored quickly and become disenchanted and re-enamored ( xd ) with someone else just as quickly. My standard favorite tends to be Leonardo Da Vinci, but after I read Galileo's Daughter I became very interested in his works and what his destroyed letters might have contained. Anyone else have any favorites or points of interest, and why?
Tell me lots...I need a new enamorata! heart domokun

Guy Fawkes. The man was a complete moron. *And* there's a poem about the Gunpowder Plot. What's not to love?

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, a pop musician before MTV and VH1 and who spent his very short life writing more music than any of the so-called artists of today can dream about. He was the heavy metal artist of his time and enjoyed placing odd instruments together. Historically he was one of the first classical artists who relied on the common people instead of being a roch lord's pet composer, an unheard of thing if you write operas and concertos.
Next to him is Robert Teach. Brownie points if you know who that is and what he did.

Familiar with the name, .Far, but I don't remember the specifics... As a yout' I idolized Thomas Alva Edison. He had an interesting life story... Once he burned down his father's barn just to watch it burn. Then he was taken to the town suqare and spanked in front of everyone... Of course, he was also a consummate inventor, as well. Quote: Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. -- Thomas Edison

Are we talking about Robert Teach as in Blackbeard the Pirate, captain of the Queen Anne's Revenge, or is there another one I'm missing too?

Also he founded a couple of cities in Madagascar (a favorite pirate island hangout) and light his hair on fire before he went into battle.

I'm not sure where I learned it, but I did know it deep inside the thinkmeats I like to think I use.

Today my favorite historical personage is Elagabalus. What's not to love about one of Rome's crazy emperors? Look him up some time, there's some interesting stuff on him out there.
