Kaleb was starting to get used to the temperature, and he stood there for a minute dripping wet with a thoughtful expression on his face.
"Have you tried manipulating steam?" He asked Demyx eagerly, completely ignoring the way his soaked shirt clung to him and emphasized his scrawny body. He could have looked quite pathetic if he had put on a miserable face.

"Steam? Er...nope, haven't tried it!"
Demyx shook himself slightly, giggling as bits of water flung off his coat in various directions.

Kaleb raised one eyebrow as he found himself getting splattered with more water. But then he laughed and started to wring the excess water from his hair and shirt. "If you do decide to try it, don't burn yourself, okay?"
He paused for a minute. "But if you can control water temperature, could you make ice?"

"I won't!"
Demyx giggled more, pulling the water off himself...only to drop it right back on. It was fun to him, water was a great toy to play with.
"I...dunno really. I don't think I can drop it down that much...only a bit warmer or bit colder. Buuut I think there's another member that can control ice...I vaquely remember meeting him..sometime in the past... I haven't seen him in a long time though."

Kaleb found himself chuckling as Demyx went through a rather... inefficient process of drying himself off. He wondered how much time the other had spent in a kiddy pool as a child. Or as an adult, for that matter.
"Should we dry off and check on those cookies now?" Kaleb suggested. At this point the cookies should be cool enough to eat, but still warm inside.

"OKAY!"
Water was fun, but he could summon that at anytime. He didn't seem to recall any magic cookie summoning powers, thus those were more important for now.
"Just hold still a minute..."
Concentrating, it didn't take long for Demyx to pull the water off both of them and form it back into it's initial bubble, which he then dismissed.

Kaleb blinked, it felt as though the water just dripped off. Except it dripped off in a way that completely defied gravity, and all at once rather than drop by drop.
It was unusual, and very fascinating. "I wish I could do that," Kaleb said, grinning as he headed back to the counter where the cookies sat. "Did you want to try the first cookie?"

"It's fun!"
Demyx snickered, bouncing along at Kaleb's heels until they were back inside.
"I would love to!"
He quickly skittered over to Kaleb and the counter of cookies, looking around with ears perked.

Kaleb looked at the cookies himself, already knowing which one the musician would take. There was an unusually large one sitting right in the center of the rack, with lots of chocolate chips near the surface.
His mouth was watering, the scent of the peanut butter cookies was always delicious, but with the chocolate chips still half-melted, Kaleb hadn't ever been more eager to eat any cookie.

Kalebs' prediction was right, the sitarist happily taking said cookie and nibbling on it.
"Mmmm, these are really good!"
Demyx was in heaven, the taste of cookies always enough to make him happy, no matter what foul mood he might have been in.

Kaleb took a second cookie, probably the second largest if he had to make an estimate, and got through half of it before an idea hit him.
"Did you want a glass of chocolate milk?" he asked, wandering over to get a glass, or two, from the cuboard. "I usually don't have guests over, so I've only got chocolate..."

"Sure! Chocolate milk is fine, I like it!"
Demyx was still nibbling on the large cookie, tail swishing happily behind him.
"You don't usually have guests over? Why not?"
Kaleb seemed friendly, and sociable, enough...at least to Demyx. So the thought that the little mage usually spent his time alone surprised him.

Kaleb set two tall glasses on the table, and pulled a carton of chocolate milk out. He looked a little confused at Demyx's question though. "I don't really have that many friends here," he said, pouring the first glass and pushing it towards the musician. "And it's a bit hard to make friends anyway, I'm usually too nervous around other people. It's easier to sit with a book and study."
He poured his own glass and took a sip, leaving the milk carton on the table in case either of them wanted more. Peanut butter cookies could make you very thirsty.

"Well you're my friend!"
Demyx grinned at him, quickly finishing off his cookie and taking a sip of the offered milk.
"But I can understand it being hard to make friends...it's kinda weird making friends all over again..."
The sitarist poked at his glass a bit, thinking.
"Kaleb...you know about healing right? Is it...erm.....possible...to bring someone back from being..erm...uhh......dead?"
Ears flattened a bit, Demyx usually hating this subject but figuring Kaleb was the best person he knew to ask this sort of thing.

Kaleb smiled back enjoying the cookie and chocolate milk. At Demyx's last question he paused, it seemed an unusually serious topic for the innocent musician.
"I can do that with my magic," he said in a very careful tone, "but there's limits. If I can't heal them soon enough after they die, I can't do it at all." It was like non-magical aspects of healing in that way, if you are too late getting there, no amount of medical treatment can cure death.
