((*reminder* everyone should go read Ty's newly posted profile...it will help I think...))
Adenine was still panting silently when the person in the suit of armor, an apparently young person by the sound of the voice, spoke up and explained that they were not letting her go. She had figured they would not, but it was always good to keep one's hope up and try. She had to answer questions? She had never been so good at answering questions, especially with the sensor of a sister sitting on her shoulder. Sighing softly as it was said she would not be hurt though, she kept the barrier of air up, the air of the hallway moving more then it should, but the hazy wall between her and everyone else apparently of solid air, impenetrable. Her bright aquamarine eyes shifted though to see the man Ty had gone after first, his arms now thoroughly clawed, and an apparently thick looking uniform shredded. He still was wearing a slightly annoyed expression, but he did not look so mean, only staring at her in wonder. She had gotten comments for alchemy without the circles, but she technically did have the circles, all over her wings and back.
He slowly was coming up to her barrier now, she herself stifling a cough that was trying to come up. She did not have time for this, she had to get to Edward now, and these people were stopping her from helping her friend. Listening to the new questions that she was now being given, the frightening man's manners and attitude better now, he coming down to her level where she sat, a more gentle question being purposed. Nodding softly, her silken hair moving as she did so, the barrier of air still did not come down. She was polite even though it was obvious she was worried, her voice soft but it was a little shaky, her health obviously not good at all at the moment. " I...I'm Adenine Marintill from the north and I came to take the alchemic exams a few days ago. I use Air alchemy and I met with Ma'mm Kasumi earlier... We would have seen each other tomorrow, but my friend Edward was kidnapped by bad people, so the Fuhrer was coming with me to her office to get an Alchemist's Watch until she disappeared... I found the watch and since my alchemy specializes in finding things and protecting, I used the watch to find Edward's watch...and now that I know where he is I was going to go help him...and I am sorry it's so late, but I am in a hurry...it's all the way across town and I am afraid for my friend...could you please let me go?"
That was Adenine for you. Always honest, always polite, saying everything as it was a fact and nothing as if it was odd. She was just out of breath and battling her own weakness. She was not normally like this, but she had not eaten since she had collapsed earlier that afternoon, nor had she gotten any real rest. Her priorities were never for herself, like becoming a State Alchemist to help her sister, or rushing around town in her condition to save Edward. Everything she did was for another, and that could really take a toll on a person, still sitting there and nearly shaking, pale skin having pinkish tones that implied fever and the fact that the longer she went on all by herself, the less useful she would be. The alchemy however stayed strong around her, drawing on that inner strength that drove her. Ty however this entire time had held her beak open; hissing softly the closer the man she had clawed came. She did not want anyone anywhere near her little sister, she did not like the fact Adenine was so weak and they were getting delayed, and she did not like her little sister answering questions, intelligent golden eyes glaring at the others and her talons gripping the leather glove harder.

As the suit of armor suddenly erupted in panic by the sound of his voice, the aquamarine eyes that had been on the man in the military suit widened as they shifted to the boy in armor. She nodded though, as she was looking for Edward; well, not so much looking as off to rescue. But at the next question she shook her head, as she could not tell them, but she would show them. Ty would be helping her on navigation, as she had a bad sense of direction, but with her mental image of the map and Ty's help, she would be able to get their quickly. The boy in the suit of armor was getting equally as stressed as she was, but she was starting to see something off about him, something that was not right. He felt sick like the Homunculi did, but he was not homunculi either. Actually, he felt much like her sister felt, which led to questions if he had met the same problem Ty had met. As they ran into the introductions her eyes widened again, nodding to Colonel Roy R. Mustang, but she smiled to Alphonse.
"You are Edward's brother...therefore you are my friend too...Do you have a fast way of transportation though? It's far from here, on the very edge of the map of the city, and I don't think I could walk all of that ways..." She got up and as she was using the wall to get to her feet the air alchemy went down, the barrier of hazy, yet quite solid seeming air disappearing. Still not sure how to proceed with keeping everything from her back to the wings unseen, she glanced to Ty who had just poked her with a thought that implied she should not give them the direct location of the place or they would leave her. With a moments pause she glanced back to them. "If you don't have a better way of getting there I can take you by foot, but we need to hurry before the shadowy people and that little girl do something bad to him..." With that she was already down the hallway, moving past Al and her hair having fallen back over any trace of the metal and glass fused into her skin besides a few glitters or shining, light catching glimmers here and there.
Ty had rotated that bird head of hers, still sitting on her sister's shoulder, but she was looking at the others, still glaring. If she had a human body she would have just plucked her sister off the ground and carried her, since Adenine should not be moving too much at the moment. Those golden eyes just dared the suit of armor with a soul attached to pick Adenine up. Yes, she knew what Alphonse was, as she could pick out homunculi and perform maintenance on little Ade so well. She had the body of a bird, but she had received a nearly flawless education on human alchemy by her two parents, both of whom were also obsessed with it. Nothing got past her without extreme care to fool her. If the two behind them wanted to join them, they could, but if they did not do something to help her little sister in transition from place to place, like carrying the nearly feather-light little girl, then she would have to somehow convince them into such an act, like with claws or making Adenine collapse herself.

"Yes Adenine,Its a Pleasure to meet A girl such as yourself...I'm amazed that You can Use Air Alchemy Just as well as Fullmetal can use his Alchemy."The Colonel Replied as they all were Introducing themselves.The colonel also took note of Some of the Exposed wings on adenines Back,But Mustang Didnt want to impose asking her such questions when there was much more Important things at hand."Edwards been capture huh...Wonder how he managed that one..considering his size."Mustang made a small crack at Edward,Him being short and all.He listened to the Two talk to one another while he was Preoccupied at looking at the strange metalic Bird.Then Adenine asked Alphonse if he had a Faster mode of transportation,thats when The Colonel interupted them."Well....I do have a Millitary Vehicle that We could use to get there...I'll just head back into my office to get the Keys,You and Alphonse Head down towards the Parking lot,I'll meet you both there."The Colonel then started to walk back to his office.

((*made a face* Ty is not all metallic...her feathers may be shiny, but she is not...Ade's wings are metal and glass...but Ty is just your average grayish-light brown bird with white and black spots...nothing special...besides the white ribbons that match Ade's tied to her feet...))
Back when they had been introducing themselves Adenine had nodded to Colonel Mustang, supposedly since someday she would report to him if she passed the exams, but she was still wary of him as he had yelled and people usually got really angry when they had their arms slashed up by birds bigger then their arms with wingspans longer then Adenine was tall. People out where alchemy was uncommon did not think it odd to not use her hands, but she knew full well that it meant a strong alchemy user, and that she was, at least when she was not sick. Little did she know that some of the wing and glass feathers that were positively riddled with alchemic circles had been exposed as she had sat and gotten up and that people had seen. The joke the Colonel had not been quite so funny to either she or Alphonse she supposed, as she was equally as short as Edward, but that could be a good reason as she was younger. At the given time, as she had already gotten up, the Colonel had told them about a military vehicle, and she had nodded, having a direction to go in now.
She had actually noticed an underground parking lot for vehicles, as they were expensive and most people did not have access on a normal basis to one. Therefore, she started heading to the staircase that would bring them there, following the instructions as it came naturally to her. When given orders, she would often think about them, but when they were perfectly reasonable she just went ahead right into what she was supposed to do. Another flaw, as her sister would say, she was too obedient and too loyal, traits that were bound to get her into trouble, as they had before. Alphonse seemed to be staying behind her on purpose, although he was probably much faster then her, but within a few minutes they made it down to the big garage with the different kinds of transportation, from jeep-like vehicles, normal kinds of cabs, a few tanks, coaches that had the ability to carry many people in the back, and of course trucks for supplies and captured people. Adenine however did not know which of these to pick, looking up to Alphonse to see if he knew.
Ty back in the hallway had glowered back at the Colonel Roy F. Mustang, practically marking him in a little black book in her mind for later observation. She really did not like how he looked at her little sister, not a bit at all. He was the kind of man that was just like her, knew what situations were going on and how to take advantage of them, how to make them benefit himself. She only liked people who she could control or were at terms with; that would not argue or move to interrupt her when she did something, as a human or a bird. Ruffling her tawny-speckled ash colored feathers in annoyance as they ran down the hallways, she knew she would have to be very careful of the Colonel, to not let Adenine be alone with such a person as Adenine was very bad a telling lies. Her bird head tilted to look at her sister, getting a glance and a soft smile back, but she hoped that her little sister could get some rest in the car. She may have corrected some of the alchemy on her little sister's back, but rest was the key requirement to the frail, error-filled girl. If only their parents had actually put more power into the alchemy maybe little Ade would have turned out healthier; then again, falling off cliffs did not help.

Hughes watched from the shadows as the girl and the man in the suit looked for a car they could theft. Quickly, without the two noticeing, he ran to a nearby car off to the left of the one Al picked out; he then hid and watched the two carefuly before interfering. As Al jumped in Hughes made his move and quickly intercepted the young girl before she could get in.
"Two things wrong with this picture... first of all this is Mustang's car so trying to get around in this thing, especially around areas he normal doesent travel through, isn't going to work. Second of all... it's topless," He chuckled softly at the two who were so full of energy that they didn't seem to think things right. He then added, "besides, whoes not going to notice some guy in a suit of armor?" Hughes stared at Al with a slight grin on his face and then brought his stare back to the little girl.
The look on Adenine's face was so priceless. She seemed so determined to get away yet the expretion on her face gave Hughes the idea that she was confused.
Hughes bent down slightly to come face to face with her. He outmatched in hight. Although his appearence may have been slightly threatening, the expretion on his face was cheerful and careing. "Why don't you two come with me, maybe we could sort things out and make you two... less noticeable." wispered Hughes to Adenine. He pulled himself back up and then stared at Al, waiting for a confermation from the suit of armor.

((*something close to what little Ade can look like....but not quite...)) Adenine looked up to Alphonse as he pointed out the mode of transportation. The car seemed to stand out a bit from the others around it, as she supposed it was the Colonel's personal car, but it did look fast, so she did not mind Alphonse trying to help her up into the back of the car. She would have to be a back-seat driver, so to speak, anyway; as she was the only one who knew where Edward was and Ty knew the specific directions on which streets to take. Suddenly though, her aquamarine eyes came up to a man in front of her, faintly surprised she had not realized so, but she was getting extremely tired, skin still quite pink with fever. But she listened to the reasons, having backed up a step and all of the light, wavy fabric following her in a graceful manner, even if such a look could only emphasize how frail she was. The reasons named by this man made sense, even though she had been doing what the Colonel told her to do, and what Alphonse seemed to have thought correct. Yet this new person seemed alright, and Alphonse seemed to know him.
Nevertheless, she was indeed a little confused, a little frightened, nearly backing up again as the man crouched down to her level, as many people seemed to do in fact. Was she really worth all of the effort of coming down to her level? She liked the expression his face portrayed though, it was full of light and warmth and all of the things she had missed for a while now, the good things in people she always sought when she met them. She would never think of him as a bad person; no one person was bad, but this person was particularly good. But she agreed to what he said, nodding quickly, her hands coming to hold themselves as she was just made aware that they were rather noticeable, although all she wanted to do was save Edward. But she would come with him if Alphonse did, glancing back to the boy in armor, her tired looking eyes phasing out slightly as that little problem bugged her again. He felt like her sister, the attitudes no where similar, but they felt like they were sick with the same illness. Different people had different illnesses, but they never looked sick on the outside, just on the inside. Ty was still on Adenine's shoulder, her little sister still doing far too much that was no good for her health. Yet the boy named Edward knew too much and was now entitled to her protected watch because of what he knew. And he would be one of Adenine's first friends, something she could use to keep her sister stable. Ty always thought things out logically, although at times it was hard because her memory was a little fuzzy, and it was not a human brain she was operating with, just a displaced mind. She however had seen the man in the military suit that dwelt in the shadows before the others, turning to glare at him as well. If he tried anything around her sister he would be in for a beating, not trusting anyone at the moment and in her rather protective sister persona. Even as things were explained and the middle-aged-man with sharp glasses bent down to them, she thought maybe biting him for getting too close to the fragile would be appropriate. Yet she stayed quiet, not seeing a good point to act on yet, planning out her moves and letting information come to her.

"Well" said Michiko, "Let's just say this place hardly ever sleeps. There is always something going on, at least for this state alchemist." Michiko took a seat and waited, watching Mamoru intently. "Whatcha makin' exactly" she said with a mouth stuffed with some kind of fruit. "Is it going to help heal me faster, and what wounds you have? I hope it works because I really do need to report into Mustang." she said with a sigh.

Hughe's gaze was so focused on the young cute girl that he had not noticed the bird on her shoulder nor the wings. "You know who you remind me of?" Hughes stood up straight and his face went blank as if giving the impression that he was going to attack.
Suddenly he flung at her... a picture of his daughter. His face suddenly went back to it's normal yet over excited glance. "You look exactly like her, so pretty and cute too. Boy you should come see her, I bet she'll grow up to have similiar features as yourself." He nearly forced the picture into her face as he went to a demonic-happy state. His stare then dissapeared for a brief moment as he stared at the young girl. "The hair will never be an option for her... I don't think white fits her well."
The Colonel pocketed the picture and then gently stretched Adenine's cheeks just a few centimeters and tried not to hurt the poor girl. His touch was soft and respective, which ment that he knew exactly how to handle younglings. His kindess over showing for a brief moment until he stopped and then took a step back.
"Do you have a reason for trying to steal a car? If you don't mind me asking, I would like to know if you were given the permission to go about the way you are." He then gave Adenine another warmful smile and continued, "I can help if you need it. That is if you're allowed to go about with what you had planned to do."

Shadow kept walking down the sidewalks of Central, which seemed to always be at least a little busy. She needed to figure out where to go though. There where a few things this military personal did that many others probably didn't do. First off she lives in the Fuhrer's house, and she was allowed to call the Fuhrer, Kasumi, by her name. She didn't know of a signal person she's let her call Kasumi. Second she had orders to have the fifth laboratory rebuilt, which it was. This is where she's create the Philosopher’s Stone and turn Kasumi into a human. There's one small problem though stopping her from completely the stone. Scar. If Kasumi became human and ran into Scar, she'd be doomed. Even though this Kasumi isn't really her sister, it didn't matter. The fact of the matter was that this was as close to her sister as there will ever be.
After walking for a little longer she wanted to continue her research and work. Though she needed to go home first and get her research to continue her work. She needed a fast way to the fifth lab too. So she'd have to take the car as well. So in order to get home faster, she'd have to take a short-cut. She walked for a little further before turning into an alleyway and starting her way down there. It wouldn't be far now; at least it shouldn't be if she had taken the right turn. That was something she was a little unsure of, since she wasn't paying attention. Her mind had drifted off into remembering her sister and the promise to join the state. If only she was here now instead of this created thing.

"I might as well tell Hughes since he has been so kind to my brother and I in the past." Al thought to himself. "Colonel Hughes, we are waiting here for Colonel Mustang to come back with the keys to the car. Then we are going to go rescue my brother. " Al replied to Hughes in a trusting manner." You are right Colonel about the car bieng too conspicuous, but I think that I can do something about that. Adenine would you get out of Mustangs car for a bit?" Al said as he got out of the sports car. Al placed his hands on the vehicle only after Adinene had gotten out. Then in a brilliant flash of light that normaly accompanys the use of alchemy; he changed the outward apeerence of the car into a common looking vehicle.

"I am making an ointment for your cuts and a pill that should help expedite healing the wrest of yourself. Oh, didn't you say something about reporting to your superior officer Colonel Musk or something? If he is a powerful alchemist I wish to meet him." Mamoru said as he momentarily turned away from making his concoctions. "Ah there all finished making the remedies now. Mamoru said a little whyle later when a large cloud of smoke came out of two pots. Then Mamoru handed over the concoctions, but he also forgot to tell Michiko that the ointment stung quite badly.

((*poked Nu* first of all...Ade's not in the car anymore...but I will try to work a mid-point in....secondly...Al can't do alchemy without the circles....no just using hands.....that's for powerful alchemists like Edward....Roy and Ade are in different catagories, for while they use only hands and don't waste time drawing out circles, Ade has alchemic connector wires from her back and wings to her hands as well as a weath of marks carved into her skin on her back, so while it looks like she is only using her hands, she's really just using already activated circles, and Roy has his on his gloves....*patted Ade on the head* it's fun having a library of stuff right on you to use....)) Adenine never noticed that the man had not mentioned Ty, the wings thankfully concealed under cloth and her waves of white hair again as she had them folded to her as tightly as she could without damaging herself and she just listened, half in and out of the car again. She could not keep getting delayed; it would only let Edward fall faster into trouble. But, as she was a child, her tired curiosity sparked at a new question, of who she reminded a person of, backing right up to the door of Mustang's car as an expression crossed the man's face that could be frightening. About an instant later she had a picture of another little girl, younger then her and more pudgy then she was, as the healthy little girl was sturdily built, and she was more frail then the shaking aspen groves in the mountains. But the girl looked kind, a soft smile coming to her face as one of her careful hands came up to touch the picture. However at the rush of comments on her she quickly shook her head, as she was not those things at all, and the little girl in the picture was much more beautiful then she was, or so she thought.
Adenine sadly always put herself down and looked up to the entire world; hence her forever bright personality, but she saw everyone else with a different perspective. This entire situation of the man's sudden change though was an action to cause her worry, not able to be her normal energetic self with her rapidly declining energy and degrading condition. He seemed so happy, and that made her happy too, although her hand left from nearly touching the picture to a few strands of her hair, the snow white waves definitely odd by any person's standards, part of her health condition her sister had once told her. The picture was gone once more though, and she was having her cheeks stretched, only able to smile now, as she really did like this man who was warm and kind in his attitude, tilting her head as the different manner returned and he backed off. He changed so rapidly, faster then other unpredictable people did, but she would have to find out more about him.
Of course, then the question about car stealing was issued, and she quickly nodded in response, as they had permission and a good reason too, the smile instantly reassuring her and bringing her out of the small panic she had been about to fall into. So many people wanted to help them? Then surely Edward would be alright if so many people wished for his well-being like she did; to protect a friend and keep him from harm. Alphonse answered before she could though, she leaning against the car, her bright eyes filled with life, an unbreakable hope as well, but it was obvious she was dead tired, the cool metal of the car feeling good, although as she had leaned back there had been a soft clink of metal against metal. Alphonse in his passive way, she supposed, explained what they were doing; now knowing the kind man was Lieutenant Colonel Hughes and that Alphonse most definitely knew him. Moving away from the car as Alphonse told her to, usually doing as she was told, she watched Alphonse start drawing an alchemic circle.
A few moments later the circle was activated and in a burst of whitish-yellow light the sleek car turned to something more normal, although not everyone had cars. A privately owned car in fact from the small mountain town she was from would be quite unusual, but not here in Central she supposed. Looking back to Lieutenant Colonel Hughes, she bowed softly and then with her ever soft, but fading voice she also tried to give an explanation. "As my friend Alphonse told you, we are not stealing, Colonel Mustang was just right behind us with the keys, and he was coming with us to rescue my other friend, Edward, who was taken by the shadow people earlier tonight. Alphonse and Colonel Mustang both agreed to help me help Edward...I don't know where Ma'mm Kasumi ran off to though, we were separated back in the building..." A soft head tilt as she shifted slightly to look at Alphonse however, as the change in the car was not with permission. "Were we allowed to alter Colonel Mustang's personal car however?...I would very much like to leave soon however...it's been hours and I am worried..." Ty this entire time had continued watching, hissing at the Lieutenant Colonel Hughes when he got too close to the fragile little girl and ready to strike out and bite to get the man away from her younger sister when he had touched Adenine. This situation was getting better, as Adenine could get some rest, but worse as more and more people were encountering her in such a weak, unprepared state. Intelligent, golden eyes watched the alchemy on the car, knowing with all of the experienced people around Adenine was not only going to get picked out for being good, but her alchemy was not quite like anyone else's, another fact that would undoubtedly arise questions not to be answered. It was very hard to miss Ty though, her tawny-ash plumage so dark in comparison to Adenine's perfect white and cream. People could always find Adenine in a crowd or in the dark, but usually right after they were done taking in the shock of her appearance, there was a big, menacing, dangerous looking dark bird that was much larger then normal birds' people saw on her shoulder. Anymore of the bothering of her little sister and lack of action would mean Ty would once more have to motivate people to do as they should with her talons and beak.

Hughes took a moment and thought to himself as he replayed the information in his head. With a soft yawn, he approached the car and opened the door, pushing the passenger seat forward for the young girl to enter. Once she would sit in he would set the seat back and allow Al to sit down as well. "Well if Mustang gave you permission then I guess it's ok but still, you're both young and Al isn't even a member of the State so you two may need an escort." A kind smile appeared on his face yet again as he pulled himself from the leaning state he was previously in.
The officer kindly saluted to the girl, even though he was of higher rank, he wanted to her to know that he wasn't going to miss treat her. "I don't know what has become of Lady Kasumi, she's marked with revenge for Scar... but you didn't hear that from me." A nervous smile then formed and he began to look around incase if anybody else was near by to watch. He didn't want to get the young girl interested in a State Alchemist killer otherwise she would wind up looking for her grave.
It was then that Matt came into his mind. The poor kid, all on his own, and if he were to come back then he would soon relise that his new position in the State would be changed and his jurisdiction would be changed as well. With a soft sigh, he remembered the young alchemist call so hopefuly he was doing much better than his past events while within Central.
Now his mind focused on Edward, he gestured towards the little girl to enter the car and then looked at Al with a kind hearted smile to insure that he would do what he could to help.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The car stopped and Matt found himself almost in the middle of nowhere. Yet infront of him lied a large city in the distance. He leaned forward and wispered to the driver, "Is everything ok."
"Everything is fine but I think either you should turn around or start walking from here." Replied the driver.
"You're kidding right?" Matt's face dropped to an unimpressed glare at the driver.
With a shack of the head, the driver began to sweat and shiver slightly in the thought of Matt starting to become furious. "I am sorry but I would advice you to take option A."
A vein buldged on his forhead and he was about to clobber the driver when suddenly he heard a loud bang in the distance. His face emediatly swung straight ahead to see a large colomn of ash rise in the distance. Perhaps tank firepower, never the less Matt became slightly interested and worried at the same time.
"What's going on?" Asked Matt in a calm soft tone.
The driver hesitated and then replied, "The city up ahead is Cardathia, it's as large as Central yet it's citizens are currently at war with the govonor." He closed his eyes and imagined something horrible which beckoned Matt to demand more answers. However, Matt didn't have to ask. The driver continued to speak, "Govonor Havok Turnbell is an evil man, he hates the people that I am of and sent batalians and platoons of forces. Murder, nothing but murder goes on there now. It's hard to think that even after five years, the fight continues and the State's none involvement only begs for more meaningless slaughter."
Matt now felt guilty for what he had heard. He had always concidered himself to be a member of the most powerful and diplomatic force in the world, even if their leader was corrupt, he still figured that even Kasumi would of ordered a strike force to settle this fight.
"Our religon doesn't follow his and we have different opinions none the less. It's worse then Xing, it's more than a Monarchy... It's a damn tyranical region ruled by a Tyrant. Innocent women and children that consist of a race that is not his own, are concidered the enemy." The man cringed in pain from what appeared to be past thoughts. "The rebels are dwindaling and I believe that in a matter of three more years, this war will be dead and our religion and race will be indangered." He added.
The pain now hit the alchemist. It hurt to see this man in pain and imagin the other innocent civilians being cought in the middle of it all. It reminded him too much of the Ishbal Massacere, yet this time the State had no part of it, it was being comitted by a man who ruled the land to begin with.
With the conversation ended and the tears of the driver begining to show, Matt stepped out of the car with little to say. John's past was somewhere nearby perhaps outside of this region but he was going to get answers weither the two fighting forces out there liked it or not. With a calm, yet determined look on his face, Matt began to walk off towards the city cought in an immortal war. Wind kicked up dust and sand into the air but Matt's pace remained constant and his form was stronger than most.
Moving off to the side as Hughes approached the car to make sure she was out of his way, she watched him move the seat back, seeing that once more she was to sit in the back. This did not matter to her one way or another, as she could still give directions, but her everlasting curiosity made her silently ask why this placement was preferred. Clamoring into the car carefully, the small chance a glass feather or two poking out of the ripped coverings, she took the place behind the driver's seat. The car was thankfully comfortable and Ty must have seen so as well, as a few moments later she got a mental nudge that suggested she try not to fall asleep. Listening to Lieutenant Colonel Hughes as he spoke, she agreed and confirmed the had permission with a soft nod, but she really wished to point out she was not that young, maybe a year younger then Edward was, and Alphonse appeared to be an accomplished alchemist, but as he was offering to be an escort once more she said nothing. Her attitude, while her hope could not be broken, greatly improved at the smile she was given, getting a rise of confidence in her at such a gesture.
At being saluted though, her aquamarine eyes widened, a little confused at why anyone would do something so proper to her, as she was not in the military. Yet, she had to remind herself there was a good chance she would be soon, and such a thing would happen all the time. Being in the military sounded a little scary to her, but she would do utterly anything to help her sister, and becoming a State Alchemist was the best way to pick up the last missing pieces to the alchemic puzzle before her. She still gazed at Lieutenant Colonel Hughes, her eyes possessing nearly a blind quality, as he told her of Ma'mm Kasumi, but she really wondered just who Scar was. She had heard his name whispered in the halls of the buildings, of Kasumi speaking of him with anger, of many people mention Scar with tones of fear, and now yet another person, a kind man, was saying it. Who was this Scar person? Just what had he done to be so known to so many different people? She could guess it was something bad, but she was completely unaware of the nature of the crimes committed.
The Lieutenant Colonel Hughes looked nervous now, like he had done something wrong, she still watching him, her gaze unwavering and polite as usual. She reminded herself to find out more about the Scar character so she could better understand people and why they acted this way when mentioning him. No person was bad after all, so perhaps something of a misunderstanding occurred? The seat was snapped back into place and then she watched as Alphonse started to climb into the front seat, a soft smile as always on her face, comforted and ready to take on any challenge as there were other people who would help with her. She now had both her hands on the driver's seat above where Lieutenant Colonel Hughes's shoulders would be, to make it easier for her to direct him though the city to the storage and manufacturing district, if he did not know where it already was. That again reminded her of an impending question, polite and soft words coming to the air once more. "Umm...Lieutenant Colonel Hughes Sir? Do you know the way to the main storage warehouses for private companies off in the eastern end of the city? I know how to get there if you don't, but I would appreciate knowing how much I need to tell you of directions..." Ty meanwhile was making her own notes. She analyzed everyone, and Lieutenant Colonel Hughes was no different, trying to see how she could use her influence on Adenine to start manipulating people and the world around her, what drove the man before them and how she could keep secrets out of the wrong hands. Their secrets were not meant for many, and one person knowing was already one too many, and to her knowledge three people knew far more then they were supposed to. The Lieutenant Colonel was intelligent, it was dead obvious with everything he did and how he considered words said and had cut himself off in telling Adenine information. The more intelligent a person was, the more dangerous they were because they would fit pieces of the puzzle that was Adenine together, something inexcusable and unacceptable. Breaking out of her line of thought she gave a mental message to Adenine, tapping into the connection alchemy between them to give little Adenine a suggestion, not specific words, but enough meaning and purpose to the feeling to let Adenine know what she was supposed to do.
Another problem that worried her was the man named Scar. She had heard more about it then Adenine, and already she was making plans to make sure Adenine never met the man. She had seen the pictures posted while Adenine had been given suggestions to advert her gaze, she had heard more of the rumors and actually had gotten the opportunity to read over some papers on top of desks when no one was watching. Scar was a dangerous person, and with Adenine's impending entry to the military, even just being an alchemist, not to forget including the fact she was already friends with two State Alchemists, friends she would protect, Scar would be a terrible hazard to her little sister and her own plans. She would have no time to relax anymore or do as much pondering of the alchemy that would bring her back to her normal form now as Adenine would be tangled in the web of the State. Her days would be spent keeping her little sister from the wrong information and from danger, something that was easier in their controlled habitat of home and much harder in the real world.
