Hughes smiled slightly worried as he started the car and placed his hands on the wheel. This man had never driven a car that much since he started as a State Alchemist, infact he never driven a car when he first applied to the job. Instead he had privates drive him around so this felt kind of weird for him to drive some one who wasn't even in the state yet.

"Ahhhh you may want to direct me." He wispered softly hopeing the two wouldn't laugh. The car pulled out of the garage and the three were soon on their way.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Matt walked towards the city, the sounds of gun shots becomeing louder and more frequent. It wasn't long before he could spot soldiers running back and forth, the citizens fireing back. Grenades were lobbed into the air and fell only to explode seconds later and wind up killing a few rebels and wounding others.
Once he entered the city perimeter, Matt kept himself hidden in the shadows and out of sight by both the rebel forces and the military personel. He didn't want to take the chance in getting cought and shot at.
There was a soft tug at his pants which he turned his head and looked down only to see his pocket watch being clearly seen. It wasn't long before some one quickly placed their hand on his shoulder and pulled him back into a near by building.
The State Alchemist was quickly slammed against the wall and the exit, of the room he was now in, was closed off. The front door was slammed and the windows were covered, only rays of lights beemed through small cracks between each set of plywood.
"The hell?" Matt growled softly only to see a medium built man pinned himself to the wall. When he looked to his left and right he noticed young children and fairly young women huddling together with their new born babies and other ages of infents. He quickly turned his head to look at the man who easily pinned the alchemist against the wall because of his rather quick movement.
However, even the well built man's forearms could not outmatch automail. Matt placed his hands on the man's wirsts and pryed them off of his body. When the rebel's grip had been opened, Matt pulled his hands back and quickly thrusted them, flat palmed, against the man's chest. The hit so hard that it pushed the stranger back and made him nearly fall over.
Breathing slightly heavier than normal, Matt looked around but all he could see in the eyes of those around him was fear. The mothers clutched their children close as if expecting to be shot but Matt's defensive posture quickly relaxed into a standing at attention. He studied every person in there.
A couple of seconds later, from stairs at the far lower left corner of the room came five rebel soldiers who each aimed their guns at the state alchemist. Before they could shout and order the alchemist to lay down, a fairly young beauty who stood between himself and the other five fighters.
Adenine's hands slipped down so the tips of her fingers were just touching the Lieutenant Colonel Hughes' shoulders so she could steer him right and left faster, as talking tended to get her out of breath. In fact, talking made her feel quite warn out, so it was best if she conserved her energy. She did not notice the man's problem with the car however as he started it up, as she of course did not drive and was not really doing the navigating. Ty was still sitting on her shoulder, but now had a foot slipped behind her neck, so that depending on which foot moved, Adenine would know which way to turn the Lieutenant Colonel Hughes. But, Adenine nodded to the giving directions part, and as they drove it was obvious he got the point of her left hand moving to turn left, right hand to turn right, and her lack of movement to keep going forward. She was quite lucky she was around so many intelligent, helpful people, mostly being able to go through the city without too many turns until later, the speeds the Lieutenant Colonel Hughes was breaking rather scary to imagine if they hit something.
Adenine's attention was rather focused now, since she was at the moment trying to give her complete senses over to Ty for any changes, she did note that Alphonse was fidgeting, wanting to hurry up, worried as she was. She may not voice her worry, but she wanted to hurry too. Then as they were almost there she heard Alphonse speak up again, Ty instantly silencing her from making any complaint. Adenine was not going to be staying in the car for sure, but she did not say that she wanted to go, looking like she passively accepted the decision, but Ty was telling her otherwise. Through the alchemic link between them, a sister's intuition, and movements they had learned over time, she knew very well what Ty was telling her to do, although she hated the idea of not telling the truth. She was going to rescue Edward and her sister agreed with her out of the fact Edward could not be allowed to tell a few things. One thing that could never be underestimated about Adenine was the amount of hope, determination, and utter inner strength she had, and would use in any situation.
Alphonse, unbeknownst to Adenine, was quite right however. She should stay in the car and rest, with her fever and lack of energy and her response time to stimuli in the real world. She should not be leaving them against their wishes, but the moment she had the opportunity, she would be gone from the car and their trust and into the building to save Edward by her own methods. Adenine nodded to Alphonse however a few seconds after he said she would stay, agreeing in face value but a person could never tell she was doing anything different. As the Lieutenant Colonel Hughes and Alphonse were talking however, she steered the Lieutenant Colonel to behind a grouping of warehouses, some obviously still used, and some of them not. Getting up on her knees in her seat, she motioned for him to stop and then Ty suggested to her to point at the building to the right of the one they were behind. Adenine's soft voice hit the air again, about to collapse back into the seat again to rest, or at least to give the appearance of rest, as her mind was already made up.
"Umm...I think it might be best if we stay out of sight here...but that's the building that Edward's in...I don't know where from the last search, but he is definitely in there...and..."
Her eyes phased out for a moment remembering, the aquamarine depths that spoke of hope, worry, and yet a life even in this situation now taking on a particularly tired look.
"It's someplace dark...and cold...when I reached for him during the scrying I thought I felt a damp cold; a dark place with little air...but that's really all I have...sorry..."
She leaned back in the seat now curling up and looking like she was ready to go to sleep. She was tired, but she knew just what she was doing. She had three times more of a chance of finding Edward then the other two did because she had the alchemic watch like Edward's, and all she had to do was scry inside the building again and get the general direction he was in, not that the others would know that. Air alchemy was not necessarily rare, but it was hard to get to the higher levels of it because it used air patterns, base memories, and tracing atomic patterns to find or block things. Another air alchemist could do this, like her sister when she had a body, but she doubted the other two would know of her career specifics.
Ty this entire time had been plotting what to do to Edward when she found him. She would like to bind his memories, but he had to be in top health for that and she doubted they would find him in such a condition. Mostly though she had been leading Adenine this way and that, telling her younger sister where to direct the Lieutenant Colonel Hughes in the car, making sure they took the quickest route to the destination. As Adenine had about to protest to her staying behind, she exerted more pressure with her talons on her little sister's neck and forced the suggestion through the alchemy to Adenine to be quiet and not complain about something that was actually better for their plans. Her little sister was a good alchemist, and while this was a bad situation, she could not have the little Edward blabbing off what he knew about both she and Adenine to others, she had to make sure he was going to keep quiet. The greatest wish Ty could make was to get her body back so she could protect her little false sister, but she also wished she could be awake at all times to keep the little girl from trouble, like telling secrets to those not worthy or dangerous.
Hughes steered aimlessly through the city when he started to feel Adenine's hands slide along his shoulders and down mid way of his arms. "Ehhhh I don't want to be mean... but I'm a married man." The Colonel smiled, slightly worried and brushed the feeling away. Giving into Adenine's silent treatment, he went along the correct paths.
The Colonel turned to look at Al and stared for a moment, "You look a little gloomy there." Hughes took his right hand and dug into his suit pocket where he pulled out a piece of paper. Suddenly his face lit up and pretty much placed the picture of his doughter right in the suit of armor's face. "Here you go Al, maybe she'll cheer you up. Aint she the cutest? She's going to win every beauty pagent there is out there. Don't you agree my suited friend?"
It wasn't long before they finaly arrived at the building in which Adenine claimed Ed was stuck in. Hughes looked at Al and then rested his left hand on the door handle. He opened the door for himself and then quickly shut it so Adenine wouldn't slip out. The Colonel then waited for Al to step out of the vehicle as well.
Adenine was remembering the car ride again and now she was a little confused on what Lieutenant Colonel Hughes had said to her. Had she done something wrong? Was something wrong with her? She had been only trying to give him directions that were faster then speaking, her child-like, tiny form that was barely able to reach over the front seat and stay seated at the same time, and being rather weak at the moment, only exerting the tiniest bit of pressure for turns. She just confused easily she supposed, wanting the others to hurry and get out of sight so she could leave and rescue Edward. She also guessed that the picture of the little girl she reminded him of was shown around quite a bit, Alphonse not looking so happy about seeing the picture or the father's ranting about it. She did not mind of course, but then again, she did not mind most things. But there she was curled up in the backseat and nothing about her letting on that she was not being entirely truthful of staying where she was told to. She may be good at following directions, but Ty could override anything anyone else said to her.
Suddenly with quite a bit of force and speed the Lieutenant Colonel Hughes opened and shut the door to keep her in, not that it would do them any good at all. Any lock she could open and this time she only had to push the seat forward and then open the door in this case, nothing special at all. As soon as they left though she was gone, and there was not a lot they could do to stop her, short of knocking her out. Then again, just falling asleep in the soft seat would be nice too, to just rest and forget about everything. A second after that thought her determination and hope kicked in again, and she was ready to go, looking rather tired and sleepy, but she would accomplish what she promised, to help Edward. The others could wander around such a big place all they liked, but if they did not want to help her then she would accomplish the task on her own, some of these thoughts being introduced to her through Ty, who was thinking more along those lines at the moment then she was. This was her problem and she should fix it, as well as the fact she did not want the others to get into trouble, she just wanted to make things right, forgetting the means she was going to use.
Ty of course was also during Adenine's little break with the others leaving was contemplating how long Adenine could last, how much power she might have to use, and how to make sure Edward would not talk without damaging him. If they ran into hostile people it would not take too much to get them out of the way, but she wanted to resolve this as quickly as possible, her dangerous means of doing so transmitting to Adenine who was getting a little riled from her elder sister's way of thinking. Adenine would never hurt a soul if she could, but Ty had entirely different ideas on that matter, and what Ty said became a reality with the little girl in white. As of yet, she knew Adenine was not thinking about consequences, but that was exactly what she herself was doing now, calculating what trouble her little sister would find, and mostly how to get out of it. Ty also had conflicted thoughts on the other's decisions to leave Adenine behind, as while it may be good for the little girl's health, it would give them a severe set back and leaving a child alone was never a good idea, alchemist or not.
"I think that we should head downstairs since Adenine said something about Edward being in a dungeon of sorts." Al said to Hughes when they reached a passageway inside the building that branched off in many directions. Then Al quickly ran down the stares, with a swiftness that should be impossible with a suit of armor for a body, until he reached the lower basement of the building. Once Hughes caught up to him, Al suggested that they methodically open all the doors to the rooms lining the narrow corridor since they would eventually find Ed that way.
PostPosted: Fri Jun 17, 2005 11:30 am
Hughes stopped and looked around through the shadows which was nearly impossible. "Boy if we had Roy, we could possibly use him as a torch." Grumbled the Colonel as we walked around.
Suddenly he had an idea, "Boy, there's nowhere to hide even for a short person!" Shouted Hughes hopeing to get a reply deep within the building. There was no sound nor a voice to talk back on his comment. "He must be really far or just deeper." Hughes said cleverly as he looked at Al. "Maybe there's a small hole just bairly big enough to fit in for ya!" The Colonel added and stood silent once again waiting for Ed's voice.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Matt stood in silence as the women infront of him blocked the other rebel soldiers from proceding. "He's a State Alchemist, enemy to even them!" The women shouted with a beautiful yet couragous voice.

"Are you mad woman. What has the State done for us? They're interested in their own goals and morals, who cares about a bunch of rebels?" Shouted the man who stood directly infront of the girl. With a red bandana and a few badges on his shirt, this must of ment he was the commander.

A grim glare came onto Matt's face as he stared ahead, "Listen. I've only come to visit Cardathia, a small city just West of here."

The commander glared at Matt and walked passed the girl, approaching the State Alchemist. "For what? More carnage to start to get closer to macking your precious stone, or perhaps they're Ishbalans located there." A grin crossed his face, "Yeah, you just can't handle the fact they're more out there so they send you to get the rest."

Matt shook his head, "No, this is a personal matter. This, my journy, has nothing to do with the State at the moment." He replied.

A quizzical look on his face formed then transformed into a decieveing grin. "Why don't we throw out to the soldiers out there... perhaps they could escort you."

Suddenly the beautiful woman bursted into the conversation. "Are you mad? They give double the amount of money for the head of a State Alchemist. Double the ammount they pay for us." She seemed more full of courage now, her body emitting it's own sort of light that cought the attention of the rest. With her brown wavey hair, an hour glass figure, and gorgious blue eyes.

Before the commander could reply there was a loud bang, the building they were in shook violently. Dust fell from the roof which quickly became pieces of the roof itself. In certain spots of the cealing, the roof actually caved in.

All was silent when then the sound of the enemy's voices could be heard. "Dammit they found us!" Shouted the commander. "Protect yourselves!" He added and then directed the others to the wine seller. Matt began to follow but the commander gripped his shoulder and forcefuly pulled him closer. "If you harm one hair on anybody, I'll kill you myself."

Another loud bang erupted and the building itself began to fall apart, more an more sections of the cealing collaps and fall down to the floor. Matt, once freed quickly followed the rest of the rebels deep into the seller. Once there, he noticed a row of cabinets, one of which was off sentered from the rest. Others walked behind it and dissapeared, meanwhile the sounds of the enemy were getting louder. Upstairs gunshots ran and soldiers fell, the sounds of their body hitting the floor could be heard in the basement. Matt quickly continued to follow the rest to where hopefuly would be a safer way out for all of them.

She had waited a few minutes before leaving the car, the door not having been locked so she just climbed out, Ty already starting to urge her on and into the building. Using a side entry door, probably for workers doing errands, she found herself in an enormous warehouse, but also apparently a factory. She pulled out the State Alchemist watch again that looked like Edward's and then the scrying crystal, starting to spin them around together with soft clinking. The science behind what she was doing was tracing energy particles and the essence of Edward in basics. Everything left a distinct energy particle signature, and she knew Edward's in her memory, using the watch to help tie her to something that she remembered of him, and the crystal to focus her alchemic power into as a directional reference point. After a few moments in the shadows, she let go of both of the spinning objects, surprised at the result though. The watch went one direction, and the crystal went the other. She supposed they might have taken the watch away, so she scooped the one from Kasumi's office back up and then picked up the crystal. It was pointing towards the boilers, furnaces, and storage tanks for liquid.

She had barely gotten a few more meters until the coughing started up again; silent, dry hacking that came right from the base of her lungs. Being sick was no fun at all, a sure inconvenience, but after a few more moments the problem subsiding. A little ways on she used the crystal again, spinning it around and around and then letting it go, each time she tried it a brief flash of light blue light instead of the common yellow or purple light. Calling could be heard somewhere far off it seemed, but she was curious to know why there were no people around. Climbing up to the second level, the floor all wire mesh and working ramps, she scryed for Edward three more times, coming to a small stone tank that might have been for water, a hatch and stairs connecting it to the main metal floor. Studying the heavy door for a moment, she was not sure she could lift it, the door in good service, but she had been led to this tank, so she had to open it. Coughing again slightly, she thought for a moment how to open it. Air alchemy was her strong point, but everyone started out on the most basic of alchemic workings. All she had to do was stop in step two of the three alchemic steps.

Taking out that sharp metal pin in one of her hidden pockets, she scratched out on the metal what she wanted, to turn the metal into base components. Slapping both of her hands down on it with a good more power then she needed, used to using the air in her work, she nearly fell forward into the tank. She had completely turned the metal into tin and copper dust, shiny little sparkles flying everywhere, causing her to start coughing again, the sheer motion hurting. She was using up power faster then she should, scrying taking quite a bit more energy then it looked. But what she did find delighted her when she opened her eyes again. Down the ladder, at the very bottom, was the golden hair that shined like the sunshine; her friend Edward was there. She waved weakly and started to climb down to help him, Ty leaving her shoulder and staying up on top of the storage container. It was indeed damp in here, and dark even with the destruction of the hatch, a cold that seemed to seep into a person's bones. She dropped down the last foot or two, having to stop and silently shake with her coughing again. Why was this too easy? Where were the people?

Ty had instructed Adenine to hurry up when they first started, always looking over her shoulder or giving Adenine some comfort, not liking the situation. Adenine was very good at scrying, having practiced for years and years, one of the ways she had earned a living when Ty had been unable to care for her anymore. Adenine had a unique gift when it came to power, able to generate and conserve it better, to find traces of it faster and easier, and to study it with accuracy. Ty knew very well why this was so, but it was something Adenine could never know as the cause would probably shatter her. Ty however became more and more worried as they went on, transmitting that worry to her sick little sister. She ruffled her feathers in an uncomfortable way, knowing there should be people about, there should be more noise, some resistance or signs of life, but there were none. This had to be a trap and letting Adenine in on that would just cause more problems. She knew her sister, although tired, still could keep going for a little while longer, having a hope that even she envied as it was put to strength, but she could not stop pondering what they were wandering into.

Her hearing was also better then her little sister's, so she heard the fact that the voices were somewhere below them, especially as Adenine moved to the second floor that was mostly open, only a few handrails between Adenine and falling off of the access paths. When they had finally reached the metal door, Ty had encouraged Adenine to use different alchemy then normal to hurry the process up, to be as fast as possible so they could leave. Then as her sister descended into the darkness to go to the figure below, she stayed outside to stand guard, still terribly worried about where everyone had gone. There should be workers, the shadowed people she saw, even that little girl. But no one could be seen or heard, talons tapping nervously on the stone and metal. She also worried about her sister's coughing, as she thought it had gone away, but if Adenine was going into relapse it meant she had made a mistake with the alchemy or had forgotten something in her little sister's immune system alchemy. Continuous alchemy was difficult to maintain as it tended to fail, which meant she would have to do a thorough going over of the different support circles on Adenine when this was over.

"Oh great...I know someone who's going to be real Happy to find out that I have broken My arm..."Ed thought out loud,Dreading that fact that he'd have to go See Winry about Fixing His automail arm.Just then he Became quiet As he heard something,A voice maybe.He couldnt tell for it was Muffled by the thick walls and besides, Ed Thinking it might be that Poser-God comming back, stayed Quiet and Started to crawl ,Feeling his way towards the wall so He could at least Hide in a corner or something.He Heard the Voices getting Louder and a Faint clanking sound which to Ed could only mean that they were comming back to Interrigate him some more to take part in their dreaded Plans"Damn it all..How do I get into these Situations.....Al...I wish you were here...this would have been alot easier...."Ed barely hearing the voices heard one of them say something that he thought was Directed towards him.Controling his outburst,He calmed down and muttered quietly."Damn you calling me Small you stupid b*****d....If Only I haddnt have broken my arm...." Just then,There was a Flash Of light comming from above him.Due to the lack of Light Eds Eyes took time to adjust to the light."transmutation??...A..Ladder??...That could only mean...."Ed quickly turned his head upward as he Tried to focus on the Figure comming down."....Thats not Al....Wait a sec...Adenine?!" Ed quietly Questioned as his vision Finally came into focus,Feeling weak from the Throbing Pain comming from his arm.A weak smile Came to His face as he Did realize that She had came to Save him.

The sky still gave the appearance of night where it was really in the morning hours, but there were lamps in the warehouse as well as moonlight coming through the windows to light the tank through the dissolved hatch. Adenine had gotten to the bottom of the ladder and as soon as the shaking stopped, such a movement accompanied with a few soft clinking sounds as part of her wing was exposed again; she smiled to Edward and ran over to him, his comment somewhat amusing to her sleepy mind.
"I'm sorry it took so long, but I don't know where Alphonse is...they tried to leave me in the car, forgetting the most important fact of course..."
That most important fact was actually partially a joke if she was asked upon it, but she really was trying to cheer him up, rescuing him physically and emotionally too. With that she took his real hand, already pulling him off the floor from his corner of the tiny room, rather enthusiastic as she had found him and they could go soon, hearing a soft squawk from Ty above. Of course, she noticed his automail hand was broken, not surprised at the automail at all, as she had stranger features and had already noticed it. Glancing around she found where the hand piece had gone and scooped it up, still rather pink with fever and her breathing irregular.

"Can you climb? If not I could probably help you up with the air if you need it...but Ty says we have to hurry...how can I help you?"
There she was again, asking for directions; she was never a person to take charge besides what she had already decided or had been directed upon. Adenine was a little dizzy herself, wanting to help quite badly but it still dark enough she could not see how extensively Edward was damaged, sure that if they could leave quickly everything would be alright. As of yet in fact; she had not thought about the impending consequences to her previous actions. The others might come back to the car and see she was not there, they might need to escape from something and she, with Edward, would be left behind, and it could not be gotten they would probably not be very happy at her for disobeying. She had said it had felt cold, dark, damp, and a small space with little air, but as seen that could be any number of places in a big factory, so she had possessed the highest success rate of all of them. Somewhere along the way though, they would all have to meet up to leave, but it would be most prudent to do so quietly, without attracting attention.

Ty was still at the top of the tank, having a bird's eyes that needed light, but she thought she had seen something moving not too far off. As soon as Adenine and Edward were out, she was going to have a little talk with Edward through her little sister, as she was quite worried about their secrets, anyone that knew anything at all needing to be silenced. With a soft noise that sounded like she was a very tired bird, she let Adenine know that she needed to hurry, her head whipping around so she could see all sides of her, tensed and ready for flight. If she could perform alchemy they would already be out, or never in this situation in the first place, but sadly that was one of the very reasons they were in this insanely problematic city. Yes, Ty of course was a little angry over this, having to go out of her way, risk her small, sick sister, and get themselves into all new kinds of trouble that she had especially been hoping to avoid. In fact, everything she had seen so far was a direct risk to Adenine's well-being. From the Fuhrer, to Scar, to the Elric brothers and their military friends, and the homunculi that Adenine had encountered, all could potentially figure out what Adenine was or put her in further danger.

Matt followed the others. But when he heard the cries of what sounded like rebels he attempted to turn around and run off to protect them. He was stopped by the beautiful young lady.

"Please. They've killed enough of us as it is. We must go." She wispered softly.

For a moment he hesitated, images of the rebels came into his head, all of them being tortured in seperate ways which started to corrupt his mind. "Can't let them get away with this." He replied but was soon pulled away by a burly sized man who had grabbed ahold of Matt's soldier. The man's grip was tight but just tight enough to keep Matt from running off, he did pose the ability to cruss the State Alchemist but he seemed of a man who would not abuse his power.

"Just follow us, please." The large man said calmly as he basicly dragged Matt away.

Matt, feeling hopeless almost fell to his knees in dispare. His will was so strong, he wanted to do so much to help these people but when being forced to do something else, he felt like a failure.

The girl who followed him noticed this and before Matt attempted to fall, she grabbed ahold of the other shoulder, and attempted to help carry him around. Her smile seemed to bring up his cheerfulness but not to it's normal extent.

The tunnels the group followed was long but it wasn't before long until they reached a large underground room. There Matt felt out of place. All of those within this room were dressed in torn rags that may have once been perfectly fine clothes, yet here he stood with a perfectly clean neutral outfit. It was then that he could feel the gaze of atleast a hundred rebel soldiers peering directly at him.

"Who is that man?" Said the person who seemed to be the head master of them all. He was dressed in clean rags unlike the rest. Almost acting like a priest himself. His hand was raised and pointing directly at Matt who froze emediatly from the man's loud voice.

"Master, he's a visitor looking for Cardathia. He came in at the wrong time." Said the girl who had helped him before.

"He's a State Alchemist!" Shouted a voice from the back. "Yeah, he has a State pocketwatch in his left pocket!" Yelled another.

Matt was now stiff as a board, his eyes stared directly at the one the young girl called, master. The man's eyes showed no signs of hatred instead he stood silently while the others began to talk amongst themselves. The alchemist could almost hear the conversations amongst every rebel within the room.

"A State Alchemist..." His stare warmped into a glare as he peeered directly at Matt. He then added, "Well it's about time the State has been interested in our affairs."

For a moment Matt had nothing to say, "Wait... I...." He couldn't find the words to explain his presence but everybody kept their gaze on him. The Alchemist stood silent now, unable to move. He wanted to run or atleast get away from the lot of them but everybody was around him and blocked his path. He now felt the idea of everybody taking a hit at him.

"Brother?" Al called out tentatively since his search of the basement had apparently been fruitless. Suddenly Al thought he had heard someone talking from somewhere above him. Working off a hunch, Al decided to try going upstairs next. With that, Al dashed off up the stairs, leaving Hughes alone once again.

Adenine tilted her head, watching him speak, and then she only realized he was missing a leg. But that would not be a problem, as she glanced back to the now dissolved hatch and mentally measured the distance, also making sure to guess his weight and how tall he was. It was not far and there was a stable landing up above, but she turned back to Edward as he was questioning her, every time she moved slightly tangled white waves of hair rippled with her.
"...yes, Alphonse and Lieutenant Colonel Hughes came with me and they seemed to forget I was an air alchemist and had Ty when the left me, so I came to get you on my own...the shadowy people had you in a strange place too...but no, I don't know where they are now; possibly somewhere in the basement; there was noise down there."
She did not understand why her friend was panicking, but she was slowly moving him towards the hatch, balancing him and having pocketed the hand, an obvious weight on part of the fabric. But, she listened again, absorbing all of his words like the very air. She was going to help him, and Ty of course from above was already feeding her instructions on what to do.

"I don't know either, but this won't be too difficult...I need to help you, and it's more logical to do so as I don't have anything of Alphonse's to find Alphonse like I did you..."
She hesitated at the "not doing well" part, as Ty was still making her regret staying out in the rain.
"I am sorry, but I stayed out in the rain too long on my first night here and Ty says I got sick. I will recover with a little sleep, thanks to you helping me with the changes on the metal...but this will make it no worse, since I don't have to lift you."
She shook her head, as she could not easily find Alphonse as she had Edward, rather determined on this part, and of course the fact that her elder sister's directions and orders overwrote Edward's directions any day a person could choose. Getting him to right below the hatch, having gone slowly, she smiled to him and gave him the best smile she could, which was a little weak at the moment.
"Alright...air alchemy uses the air, of course, using pressure changes, electron differences, and of course sheer forces to move, locate, or track things. With the right trajectory I can easily get you to a good position so you land softly and without further hurting yourself..."

Before Edward could even respond she softly turned him, clapped her hands together, and then forced her hands down on the ground, the alchemy being activated and Edward suddenly being shot up into the air and through the gaping hole in the metal and stone, Adenine smiling softly as she had calculated just right it appeared. Ty was still giving her signals, trying to hurry her up, and Adenine was already scrambling up the ladder as quickly as possible, sure that they would be out in no time, Ty glaring at Edward as he came up, and in general it was nearly comical as Adenine, usually passive, had given Edward no time to stop her. She for some reason felt suddenly energetic, having just felt the air in her face, the sudden pressure change making her ears make a tiny popping sound, but she knew that they would be safe very quickly, that if they had to find Alphonse they could do it together, and no more harm would occur. She was still tired, and would go to sleep the first opportunity, but since they were on the very last few minutes of their rescue, then she was using up the last bit of energy she had to stay with the events. Little did she know, they were about to find a world of trouble waiting, Ty already starting to screech at the top of her lungs.
