Yes, Edward's shouting had been amusing to Ty certainly; although Adenine was a little nervous she had hurt him. They should be more quiet, but Adenine was far too focused, getting up the ladder as swiftly as she could, about half-way up she having to cling to the metal and cough again, the cough not dry any more, but a terrible wet sound underneath it. Not a good sign at all, by any means. Adenine was still rather pleased however with how Edward landed, meaning she had calculated properly, which sometimes if rushed she did not. Listening to Edward as she came up, she shook her head quickly at his comments on "working her up", as this was her choice, or rather Ty's choice and he really had no alternative in the matter. However, when he started ranting about how everyone back at Central would be not quite pleased with him, she could only wince and come under the realization she was going to be in trouble as well. Once more as she had paused in her climbing, Ty hastened her on again with more mental nudges, never words, but she received more of the feeling of urgency. Nearly up top to the hand rails, since they were on a second floor that was mostly air, her elder sister started screaming.

Ty must have heard whatever was up there a bit before Edward, but Adenine saw her sister take to the air to higher up in the rafters. She poked her head up above the destroyed hatch and heard steps too, coming faster and faster now, agreeing with Edward's assumption that not everything would be alright, although she could only hope that it would. If Ty was this agitated, she knew it was neither Alphonse nor Lieutenant Colonel Hughes, so therefore she climbed up and moved Edward's arm around her shoulder so they could hurry and leave, as he was one leg short of walking without her. The steps were lighter then Alphonse's steps, but heavier then Lieutenant Colonel Hughes steps, recognizing such a difference easily as she had to watch those kinds of changes for her alchemy. Whoever was coming was not a friend, the running steps so close in the dark. In her soft voice she spoke up, having her hands close together now so she could defend if necessary.
"I am sorry Edward, I can't leave you alone right now and go find Alphonse, but that's not either of them coming...I hope you don't get in too much trouble with the people back at Central...what do we do?"

It was obvious she was rather apprehensive and anxious, but asking the question because the way out was the way the footsteps were coming from, a figure coming into the light. It was a man in a vest with fur around the collar, spiky brown hair, wearing small round glasses, and was currently dashing right towards them. He was so fast, Adenine nearly panicking but as Ty was not too far above them, she was already being given suggestions again, clapping her hands together and forcing them out in front of her at the air and the man who had nearly a smile on his face. The air pressure fluctuated around them and the man on their catwalk ran right into solid air, which sounded like a contradiction but was exactly what it sounded like. A slightly hazy barrier of air, impenetrable until she lost her concentration, the mechanics of it to push back with whatever force pushes at it, her hands still out, suggesting that it was taking more power then it normally would, her small form trembling a bit. Had she ever been in a fight before? She had been scared with Colonel Mustang had come at her, when Alphonse had been there, but she was, as Edward put it, not doing well, and she did not like fighting at all, a little smaller then Edward and certainly not as well built as he was.

Ty had started screeching as Adenine had nearly reached the top of the ladder, listening to Edward's pointless chatter but really concerned with what she heard coming. She had gone through the same thought process as Adenine, but with less panic and more reason. The footsteps were wrong, and they were starting to run, she giving Adenine and Edward the warning and launching off of the stone and metal tank, up into the air for the rafters of iron above. This was going to be bad, and she needed to be in a place where she could see everything and not get hit, to try and keep her weak little sister calm and convince the tiny girl to not use as much power as normal, to be sparing and to get away. Adenine needed concentration, not yet used to using her alchemy so suddenly or in such a bad situation. They had been in a fight before; the one that had broken one of Adenine's wings in half, but with some careful counseling and some reassurances to her little sister, with a joint effort that fight had been erased from Adenine's memory, the blood wiped clean of a little girl's heart and mind. A gang had gone after Adenine and they had not been around to regret it, and now Adenine might need another memory adjustment after this if she ran into further trouble.

Al heard some sort of commotion upstairs, it could just be Ed, but it sounded like more than just one person. Al decided to wait for Hughes to catch up to him since his help would be needed if there was a fight. Once Al rounded the last steps to the second level he noticed a stranger who was in front of a barrier that Ed had obviously made. Al didn't want to attack without knowing this person real intentions, but Al knew, if this man were after Ed, that he should be able to buy the others some time to escape if he did fight this stranger. Then Al called out "Leave my brother alone" to the man, to try and destract him from Ed and Adinene.

Gluttony walked out of the shadows, in his mouth hung a familiar red cloth but it wasn't from fullmetal. Instead the piece of clothing was from the Forge Alchemist, appearently he was eating little by little since he didn't get to eat very often. "Sooo hungry." Said the large ball of blubber, a loud growl came from his stomach and his face went droppy. From then on he stayed silent but stood nearby Lust, like a hcild would with their mom.

"An Alchemist... so the State is finaly interested in our affairs." The headman spoke out, everyone stayed silent as they peered at the alchemist.

"He's not here for..." Said the woman who had been protecting him since the start but Matt quickly stopped her from talking, shaking his head. He didn't want her to continue.

Matt turned his head and stared directly ahead at the man in charge. "I still don't quite know what's going on but I'll do my best to get to the heart of the problem." He spoke with a calm strong voice.

The headmaster stood silently for a moment, his eyes focused closely on the alchemist. He was looking for a hint or hoping to catch a lie in the making but Matt stood calmly and stiff, returning the gaze directly back at the leader.

The cealing raddled and dust from above floated down, the sound of large booms and big bangs could be heard from up top. It was apparent that a large fight was taking place maybe twenty feet or more above. The sounds did not cease, instead they got much louder and more violent. Everyone inside shook with fear and held their loved ones close, thinking the roof was going to cave in and kill them all.

It seemed Matt and the headmaster were the only calm people in the large room. They appeared as if they were not affected by fear, everything going on did not phase the two.

Matt knew exactly what the rebel's leader was searching for, and that was signs that would define Matt as a coward. He wanted to see if Matt would really stick to his word and aid them or if he was going to run away when he got the chance.

The shadowy figure started to walk towards the Chamber room Edward was located in.His mind focused on getting the boy to do his bidding and make him the Philosopher's stone.As he continued down the Dimmly Lighted hallway he stops to see that A little Girl had managed to Get into his 'Humble abode' and was trying to help Edward Escape.Trying to guess what the two little twerps were talking about,He couldnt help himself from smileing Sadisticly At the two,Lowering his glasses in a jesture of being cool.He smiled as he watched Both the Little girl and Edward try and make their escape but Without hesitation,He darts towards them in an Effort to stop such a foolish act.Just then he saw the little Girl put up some kind of Barrier thing.He started to punch at it seeing if he could go though but it seemed pointless at the moment.It looke to him like the Girl had to use her energy to keep it up so decided to wait till the Girl tired out and then Kiddnap them both.The man suddenly was shocked when he saw Edward pull up a Barrier of his own made out of Metal.
"Damn that Runts starting to get on my nerves....That Girl of his seems fishy though...She could be usefull to me as well." He spoke to himself as he started Punching at the barrier,Each blow pulling a deep dent into the metal.
"Damn you two!!! As soon as I break this I'm comming for ya."He yelled Hopeing that the two heard him,As if the constant banging wasnt enough for then to take the hint.Just then he Heard a Voice comming from the other side of the Hallway.He turned around and saw nothing.Thinking it was someone trying to bide some time for Edward and the Girl The man Replied."He's your brother huh,So your trying to distract me Huh,Well thats fine by me.They couldnt be too far by now anyways since this place is a Dump and not a damn thing works here.So tell me...is this little Mission of yours really worth dieing for."The man stopped right there and waited for a reply.

Edward was still having flashbacks even after hitting the Elevator Roof.Thoughts flashed about his childhood,the thoughts of his mother and Alphones,The time when their mother got sick and Unfortunitly Passed away,When Both Ed and Al tried to use Human alchemy to Bring their mother back and the pains of the aftermath.and of coarse all the events that has lead up to this very moment.Minutes after the flashbacks Ended Edwards Body shot up with pain as he jurked Voilently and Started to Cough up Blood.His mind was Fuzzy and his Focus was a Impaired.He could feel something wet as he Moved his left hand from his side.Still laying face up on the Elevator floor Edward turned his head.His expression widened with shock as he saw Adenine Laying right next to him.
"Adenine.....Oh God...was this all my Doing....I should have been.." Then Edward started to cough again,More blood comming out of his mouth.."...mmm More carefull...Damn it all..I must have an internal injury as well...." Ed thought to himself.He Didnt care how much pain he was In.adenine looked like she was in trouble so he started trying to get up,gritting his teeth in pain as he tryied to get to his knees Crawling slowly toward Adenine to see if she was alright."Adenine,Adenine...talk to me....Its all my fault this happen..Just please Answer me!"Eds eyes starting to tear over.He then put his hand gently above her nose just to see if she was still breathing or not.
"Good...Shes not dead....Damn it I've been so damn careless....I wish I wasnt so damn helpless Right now...Heh...look at me...I'm missing a leg,My arm is broken and my whole body hurts like hell....and you adenine Had to come all the way out here to try and save my useless butt.."Edward said to himself as he look down in at Adenine,Dissapointed in himself.

Adenine was far from consciousness now, really no images besides some of the shock of what she had just seen coming to her. The frightening smile that chilled her to the bone, the hits that even dinted steel from the man pursuing them, in all just the concept of being chased lingering. Edward's fall was what kept reoccurring in small, hazy flashes, on the outside her body not responding, but the idea of a hurt Edward far more terrible then getting caught by the man. The truth to the matter was that Adenine had been running on her last bit of strength, walking on her final line of power to locate Edward and get him to safety while she was sick. Normally she could have used more power, been faster to respond, and she might have had Edward out of the terrible place by the current time, but even alchemists could not do much about getting sick and the weakness that accompanied it. Adenine did not know if Edward was alright, nor feel his movement, blissfully unaware of the world. She did not feel Edward come over to her and she did not know the pain she was causing him by being there, although his pain was enough to make her cry with that alone. Adenine had just wanted to help, but quite frankly she had been in terrible condition.

However, she was breathing softly, her little frail form twisted slightly, her metal wings wedged deep into the elevator roof that they were on. Removing her might take a little bit of work, as a person had to remember her wings were in fact fused to her bone, and the symbols on them had to stay intact to keep her running. Thankfully when she had fallen and hit the metal that nothing had been scratched on the alchemy, her tiny form sore from falling but the air alchemy and rapid air shift saving her from far worse. But awakening her was something rather unlikely, not feeling Edward trying to wake her up, although if she was conscious then it could be guaranteed that she would be trying to keep Edward from bashing himself, to try and help him move to a safer location, to make the bleeding stop somehow. There was a dim light coming from the open door about a foot above them, the rest of the glimmer of light from far up above them where they had come from, just a wash of white and a splash of red the only viewable colors at the bottom of the shaft. Adenine looked like a fallen rag doll, dropped by some careless child and forgotten, Edward just another damaged toy that had been through terrible times.

Ty on the other hand was frantic, flying rather silently but any movement in the darkness was sure to be detected, flying past the man that could not be human with such strength and the apparently younger brother Alphonse, who appeared to be in the same situation as she was, a lost soul in a false body and trying to beat the clock to get Adenine and Edward help. She soared on though, going down closer among tanks, crates, and old machinery, trying to find the man who she really hated to bring into this. He was already on the lower level, not occupied with a steel-tearing monster, and he could probably get Adenine unstuck from her metal prison and bindings without damaging her. If Alphonse was nearby, then so was the Lieutenant Colonel Hughes, her target in this case. Finding the man running, not as fast as the armored Alphonse was apparently, she shot at him out of the darkness, one sharp cry at him the moment she was close, before any retaliation could come to the large bird of prey. Grabbing a hold of his uniform with skin-shredding talons, not getting any skin but certainly ripping the uniform a bit, she pulled at him for a moment and then had already let go, lower feathers and feet covered in the blood from the elevator, and leading back to where her little sister was.

Adenine was starting to stir a bit, coughing wracking and shaking her tiny form again; a cough that was getting progressively worse sounding, moist and longer lasting. She was indeed stuck, the odd angle she was spread out in giving it away. Her wings had originally been part of a machine controlled by air alchemy, both the glass-like material and metal sharp enough to cut bone, hence why little Adenine held herself so carefully. Her defense and her life were on those wings; a dangerous combination for her, but she was indeed stuck. The metal on the roof was not quite as thick as Edward guessed; the metal was however weak, otherwise her wings would not have wedged themselves so deeply in. It was the angry outburst that first started bothering Adenine from a state where she might have started recovering, with the blood on the metal cooling and becoming unpleasant, the noises from up above the elevator shaft getting louder, and Edward's occasional brushes against her also helping her reach a semi-conscious state. Adenine's little form tried moving, to turn over towards the warmth, and she could not, her mind starting to register pain again. She hurt so much and did not understand why.

What had happened to her starting to come back slowly, none of her liking being awakened, even if the situation dictated it was more dangerous to sleep then anything else. Only maybe two minutes of darkness was not enough, and waking up therefore was harder, to leave the confines of her mind into a very painful world. Trying not to make any noise, her attempt to get up failed, not knowing Edward was right next to each other, metal scraping on metal sounds coming as she tried to get free. What stopped her was the pain, as it did hurt quite a bit to do that, pulling on her fragile bone and muscle structure in her back. Opening her eyes, tears still not dried and starting up again, her aquamarine gaze instantly found Edward, gasping and then holding perfectly still, not willing to keep moving with the pain. Her next questions resulted from her utter disregard she had for herself when others were involved, voice very soft, really just a whisper.
"Edward! Are you sure you should be up? You fell so far and you were bleeding, what can I do to help you?"

Without Ty around she could not make her own choices very well, plagued by confusion and insecurity whenever she did try to make her own decisions in bad situations. That was the major flaw about Adenine. She needed directions from others to actually function properly, having abnormally high amounts of power; continuous studying for years giving her an intimate knowledge of alchemy, but the lack of confidence and direction letting what she did have become ineffective and incomplete. This situation was also made worse by it being Adenine's first adventure, so to speak. To her memory she had never been in a fight, never in a life-threatening situation except for when she fell off the cliff, no other people involved except her sister. She was inexperienced at the moment, her determination to help her sister and Edward driving her towards an end goal, to restore her sister to her body, but this was only the beginning of her quest outside the mountains of research back in her home, only the first few steps of something that might last a lifetime. In this there was part of the problem; that she was already in such trouble so early in her journey. The noises from up above were getting closer still.
