At the end of the day The end of the light She keeps the remains of all of her foes Miranda is dying with all of her might She never comes She always goes
She sticks the camera Right into her arm Anything to forget what the trouble's about It causes her pain; that's part of the charm She's down for the count And finally out
My name is Montana, and welcome to my world.

UnarmoredGeneral Information: Name: Agrona Wahr Aliases: Agent Montana, Montana (government codename), Monty (preferred nickname), Monta (military alias) Gender: Female Quote: "I'm a nightmare, a disaster/That's what they always say/I'm a lost cause, not a hero/But I'll make it on my own/Me against the world..." --Simple Plan, "Me Against the World" Likes: fencing with energy swords, the color orange, being on Red Team Dislikes: thinking about the past, other freelancers, shooting (she has bad aim, like Church) About: Monty was once a gung-ho agent; she was delighted to be a freelancer and do some real fighting. She didn't mind having an AI who tried to change her; she rather enjoyed it, because to her Pi meant that she was a "real" agent. She was given more jobs and assignments. One day, she was assigned to wipe out a base of supposedly rebellious Reds. With the deed done, she turned to leave and heard a familiar voice. She found the soldier in question and ripped off their helmets; thus she was able to cradle her brother's head while he died.
Horrified at murdering her brother, Monty quit the freelancers, feigning her own death by duct-taping a JATO unit to the back of her Mongoose and driving it via remote control, crashing it into a cliff and causing it to explode*. She enlisted as a private in [glorious] Red Army and has now gotten through basic training.
Her armor enhancement is a device that uses echolocation to map the surroundings and transfer the information to her. Thus she can see anyone who is cloaking themselves and subtle changes in her environment.
Relationships: Parents: ??? Siblings: Tam (deceased) Mate: None Offspring: Tam, Heidi Familiar: Billings Friends: Pi, Kyna, York, Delta, Miss, Seth AI: Pi

Montana's World
Relations
Pi--I don't want to talk about Pi. I don't. She's my former AI, and we were supposed to be like...well...[Tries to link toes and fails] Well, anyway...sometimes when I don't feel entirely honest, I blame her for Tam's death...but these days, I try not to dwell on that. We’ve made our peace to each other.
Indi--My boyfriend! <3 We met when he taught me how to use a gun properly. We hit it off pretty quickly. I love him and hate to disappoint him.
Vestia—Pi’s daughter, or at least, one of them. I’ve finally gotten over that shock. I know that Pi and I haven’t been exactly fair to poor Vestia—when she was a bowl, I was, well, furious. But that’s over with now; thanks to Vestia, we’re friends again, though only time will tell if I will ever truly trust her again.
Friends
Seth--I know I shouldn't trust her. I know that she's an AI gone wrong, that her mother is one of my enemies, and her father no better. I know that, whatever she tells me, she plans to run the shop from behind the scenes. She's ambitious and evil like her father...but when she talks to me, I listen, and I believe what she tells me. I think...damn me, I'm falling in love with her!
Agent Missouri—I used to think that Miss was just some jumped-up pretty girl, but these days we see more and more eye-to-eye. We both feel protective of Pi.
Agent Arizona--Other than the fact that none of the other freelancers like me, I'm rather glad she's also working for Red Army. I hope that someday we might at least get along without her shooting my feet!
Kent--Agent Kentucky. Okay, to be honest, we were bedmates first. But after that we became friends. He's very lonely and no one likes him much for some reason.
George--Ah yes...Doctor Whitman...I can't count the times we met each other during training. Basically, every time I got injured, which was pretty often. I like him, and I'm glad he's come to live with us!
Nizhoni--Agent New Mexico. We were the only two fencers in Project Freelancer, so naturally we gravitated towards each other. She wasn't too friendly, but I made a point of always being friendly to her. I'm happy for her now that she's found a mate!
Enemies
Agent Carolina--One, she stole my sword. The one my brother gave me. The last time I talked to him before he died. The very sword I used to kill him. Two, she pulled rank on me. Three...SHE STOLE MY ******** SWORD. I'm sorry, "Sergeant," but this private has reached the end of her limits with you!!
Agent Texas--My rival for title of Queen b***h; but this queen's a tough nut, so I'll this slow grandma is safe on her throne.
Agent Minnesota--Come to think of it, we were all bitches. But Minnesota was perhaps the most testy of us all. I try to avoid her when at all possible.
Acquaintances
Agent New York--I never had to work much with York; he was in a different squad. I've heard that he was only slightly less useless in combat than myself.
Housemates
Geyser—She brought Pi and myself into a home where I can at least put my paws up at the end of the day to dig the shots out. She’s kind, polite, loves us, and does what she can. For some reason, I can’t help but like her.
Kyna—York and Delta’s daughter; I still can’t believe that a freelancer and their AI could love each other that much! I wish that Kyna had been an AI of the program; I would have done anything to get someone like her as my partner.
Fogstep—Foggy’s okay; he’s another fighter, if a little more hand-to-hand and honorable. But then, I like honorable.
Pwnage—Geyser’s daughter; I haven’t seen her often enough to form an opinion.
Yoake—Like Foggy, Yoake is honorable and strong—however, he’s a bit more…heroic. Foggy fights in a group; Yoake fights on his own. I personally prefer Foggy’s style.
Ahiga--The son of George and Nizhoni--two of my favorite freelancers. Despite being a pain sometimes, he's a pretty good kid. I'm interested to hear that he's going out with Seth's daughter.
Cathair--Foggy's son, very cute.

My name is Montana, and this is my story.
I wasn't born Montana; my real name is Agrona Wahr, but only Seth calls me that. When I joined Project Freelancer, I was given the pseudonym Agent Montana, so sometimes it was shortened to Monty. I like that nickname. I use it as my real name sometimes...and later in life, when I joined Red Army, I gave my name as Monta Wahr. Call me what you like, but not Agrona. As I said, only Seth calls me that.
When I was a kid, I had a big brother, Tam. He was just like a big brother should be--protective, nurturing, and of course, he would tease me. He was always somewhat less ambitious than I was, so when we both decided to join the military, he signed up at the nearest Army recruiting center--Red Army's, in this case. I was looking for more of a challenge, though. I won't go into how I did it, but I managed to get selected as one of 49 special operatives, or Freelancers.
Training was exciting--I was good at everything except anything with a trigger, but I was pretty good at it, if I do say so myself. I was delighted to find out that I would be getting an AI: Pi. I was slightly less enthusiastic when she came in: prowling, lurking, wanting to know everything. Of course, I didn't mind sharing thoughts; but taking control of my body? Watching my memories like a movie? No way! I eventually gave up on the body issue, but I never let Pi into my memories.
As I got better and better, I went on more missions. I became more arrogant, and came to hate those who were better than I was at combat. I was one of the younger freelancers, so I was a tad...childish. Explosives in their bunks, things like that. I'm ashamed to admit that, though. If there is such a thing as karma, my comeuppance was coming soon enough.
It seemed innocent enough: a Red base was acting mutinous. I was to go out there and "clear them out." I had never done something so big, but I was beginning to think that it was time I was given the challenging assignments. I lied my way in. Well, I say I, but I also mean Pi. She was there, taking control of me half the time. After dinner, I attacked, killing them all with Pi in command. As I turned away, cleaning my blade, I heard the racking cough of someone who was soon to die. I recognized the cough a little, so I rushed over to the source and ripped off our helmets.
Thus I was able to cradle Tam's head as he died from the wounds my paws had inflicted on him.
I worked all through the night to make them a grave, and as dawn broke and I said some words of apology to the brave men I had slaughtered, I made my decision. I told Pi that I wasn't going back.
She argued; she kicked, fought, screamed, shrieked, and sulked. She wanted back, back to everything she knew, so she could flaunt my bloodlust to her fellow AIs and spend time with that loony of hers. Murderer. The word echoed through my mind as she scrabbled for an excuse, directed at both of us. Finally, though, she came up with a semi-acceptable one: if I were to just quit, I would be hunted down for "theft" of an AI; then she would be forcibly ripped from me, leaving me an emotional wreck, to be deleted.
"Doesn't sound that bad," I muttered bitterly under my breath. She ignored me. I would be arrested, my parents might even be informed...so we went back. I could feel her loathing for me mounting, but I countered it with hatred for her, for her arrogance, for her lust for violence...but most of all, I hated myself for letting her in! I had let her take control...no. I hadn't. I had killed my brother, and I...Goddess help me, I enjoyed it! It was my duty! I would be rewarded for it!
Once we came back, I dropped my selfish little schemes. I changed. I didn't speak to anyone, I was kinder and more polite. My next assignment came soon enough. You know...I don't even remember what it was. But at the beginning of every such assignment, we were allowed to submit a list of needed supplies. I "needed" a remote-controlled Mongoose and a pair of JATO packs.
If there is one thing that astounds me, it's the fact that Command fell for that s**t!
I tied the JATO packs to the Mongoose, started all three up, and let it rip. Once it had crashed spectacularly into the canyon wall, I whipped of my helmet, pulled out my sword, and informed Pi that she was to send out a distress signal of a dying AI to Command.
"No, Monty!"
"Okay then...sionara, biotch." I raised my sword to destroy her AI card. At that point, Pi had no choice but to follow my orders. She pulled the final lever to trick Command into announcing that we had perished in a tragic freak accident. I carry no illusions; I'll bet more alcohol and toasts were said that night than ever before in the project. Everyone hated me.
As for what happened next...I joined Red Army. Enlisted as Monta Wahr. Six months of training were a cleansing experience for me. Now I am a soldier, struggling to survive in a world in which my old fellow freelancers stalk the streets like bad dreams. And Pi is still giving me trouble...but with the current issues these days, we're growing close again. After all, we do share a head...

"Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down Song between Monty and Pi
I took a walk around the world to ease my troubled mind I left my body lying somewhere in the sands of time I watched the world flow to the dark side of the moon I feel there's nothing I can do
I watched the world flow to the dark side of the moon After all, I knew it had to be somethin' to do with you I really don't mind what happens now and then As long as you'll be my friend at the end
If I go crazy, then will you still call me Superman? If I'm alive and well, will you be there holding my hand? I'll keep you by my side with my superhuman might Kryptonite
You called me strong, you called me weak, But still your secrets I will keep You took for granted all the times I never let you down
You stumbled in and bumped your head, If not for me, then you'd be dead I picked you up and put you back on solid ground!
If I go crazy, then will you still call me Superman? If I'm alive and well, will you be there holding my hand? I'll keep you by my side with my superhuman might Kryptonite

"Miranda" by Fleetwood Mac Monty's mingled memories and nightmares of the night she killed her brother
At the end of the day The end of the light She keeps the remains of all of her foes Miranda is dying with all of her might She never comes She always goes
She sticks the camera right into her arm Anything to forget what the trouble's about It causes her pain That's part of the charm She's down for the count And finally out
Miranda is taking the stars down A little something to call her own By the light there still goes Miranda And Miranda is always alone
She sees her face in another magazine And the walls all close in As the fancy takes flight Can't stand to be loved But she loves to be seen She slips down headlong into the night
Miranda is taking the stars down A little something to call her own By the light there still goes Miranda And Miranda is always alone
And then all at once The sun starts to rise She sees her father holding her down All the daylight is poison to her eyes She slips down the shade And lets herself drown
Miranda is taking the stars down A little something to call her own By the light there still goes Miranda And Miranda is always alone
The lights shot down in the arena All across the safety zone Loneliness follows Miranda And Miranda is always alone Miranda is always alone Miranda is always alone

Name: Billings Species: Dragon Drink: Lonely Samurai Sake Gender: Male Noodle: Agrona Wahr Type: Foil About: When Billings (named for the capital of Montana, har, har) first arrived, Pi was afraid she wouldn’t like the little bugger. Monty was hoping that Billings would get along with Pi but still be on Monty’s side. Well…they both won. Sort of. Billings helps Pi by making sure that Monty doesn’t do something stupid, but he still enjoys having a fun time. The three of them get along well, and the girls find themselves wondering what their tenure as soldiers would have been like with the smart-talking dragon on Monty’s other shoulder.
