User ImagePeople say that beauty and brains don't mix,

Seeing how she looked, Rena couldn't help but to cry from laughter. It was priceless and she was sure Raze would hold this over her for a very long time. Considering she knew she was going to be immortal, very was quite the understatement. "Cel... I'm glad you haven't changed." she said, quickly recovering from her minor fumble. She felt another joy not her own inside her soul and knew Celeste was beaming with pride of Raze. She also thought that Rena falling over was quite hysterical as well. "Really? I thought it wasn't enough power. Could have used a bit more." she said as she elbowed him lightly in the side before following him.

Stopping in front of a wall, she couldn't help staring at it till the wall moved itself out of their way. This aspect of magic she could definitely get used to. "Ooh!" she exclaimed as she ran around his lab picking things up and looking at them. She made sure to stay away from the chemicals for who knows what they would do. One puff of smoke and she could have daisies for hair and a snake for a tongue. Turning her attention back to Raze though, she looked at the new crystals. Moving the cloth to get a better look, she saw small red crystals laying there, buzzing with power. "Magical grenades, gotta love it. Thanks Raze." she said happily as she reached out to touch one.

Rena's hand stopped midair as the door opened. The bad feeling from earlier returned to the pit of her stomach and she felt sick when she heard a voice. She didn't know who it was or what they looked like, but it didn't register a pleasant feeling for her. "Excuse me Raze, i have to find Kestrel." she said hurriedly as she ran out of the room. Running through the palace, she ran out to where she knew Kestrel and Aithorn should have been training. Stopping as she saw them, she slowed her pace and tried to catch her breath. She'd wait till they were done before she talked to Kestrel and Aithorn.

but I'm the girl that proves them all wrong.

Sometimes I feel a darkness driving me...

Raze waved as she left the room. His face turned to how his thoughts were. Worried. Kestrel and Aithorn were just finishing training when Rena walked up. "Hello Rena. What's the rush?" asked Kestrel. Aithorn looked behind Rena as Amore walked up. By the look on her face it was something serious. He was told that a dangerous criminal was captured, but he was going to see to that after the training session was done. Apparently Amore had seen him and it was more serious than he was giving it the attention for. "Amore? What is it" he asked. Amore looked at Kestrel with a strict face. "Apparently Kestrel summoned the Knight's of Sin to the castle" she said. Kestrel looked completely surprised. "I didn't do anything like that! I don't even know how!" he exclaimed.

Amore looked at him. "Then it must have been some sort of accident." she said. "But apparently they are stationed in the town somewhere. We have convinced this one to call them to come to the town square in one hour." The prisoner was brought up to them in chains. "Signa..." said Kestrel. "I know him. Well Vesperus does anyways..." Aithorn looked at Kestrel. "You two are gonna be weird like this for a while aren't you?" said Aithorn shaking his head. He hoped that this whole trying to remember who I was faze was over and they could start the serious training. "Well meet them there, and try to talk on peaceful terms" said Aithorn to Amore trying to settle her down. She was more of a hothead than him sometimes.

...For now I will put that darkness into my music.

User ImageDarkness haunts me wherever I go...

"I..." Rena began as she felt Amore behind her. Turning slightly, she closed the gap between her and Kestrel and interwove her arm through his. Before Amore even opened her mouth, Rena knew she wasn't going to like what was going to be said. It made her feel nervous and thus she positioned herself close to Kestrel to feel better. Not like he'd mind, he got arm candy for just standing there... Ah, the guy's start to a dream. This picture was missing a girl made sandwich to make a guy's dream.

Feeling Kestrel tense as he was accused, she couldn't help but wince at Amore's tone. She gave Amore a look to calm her tone silently without catching his attention. Kestrel worked up on emotions was not good. As for the Knights of Sin, they didn't sound like a merry bunch though she couldn't remember who they were. All she did remember was the icy cold in the voice in the hallway. She could almost picture a face, but it was all so fuzzy in her brain like it was a snow-globe and someone shook her to make the snow fall. That was very annoying, but it was better than the express train to Celeste's memories.

"We're going too right? And did anyone activate the crystals in the town?" Rena asked when there was pause in the conversation. There were a few other questions in her mind, like one of Aithorn's last comments to Kestrel, but that would have to wait for later. Right now her concern was Kestrel and the Knights of Sin. Something was going to happen and she was already very unsure about it. She was hoping he got to stay in Alexandria where she could keep an eye on him and get to know Kestrel better as well as work out the Celeste-Vesperus thing. Though foolish since he needed to be in the dark, the girl still had some hope in her on the matter.

at least until I open my eyes to the light reality around me.

Your really boring you know that...

Listening to all the people he was starting to get impatient and bored. He looked at how the young queen clung onto his king and scowled. His face was hidden by his mask so no one could see, but he sent an emotionless look towards the queen. "You look so weak Celeste...your lucky you got your protectors here!" he said laughing. Then something happened he didn't expect. Kestrel stared at him. Working his way out of Rena's arm he walked over to him. Balling his fist up he punched Signa hard in the face. He flinched slightly. "I won't accept your disrespect towards Rena" he said. "So shut up or next time I use the sword." Signa wanted to laugh. That punch was weak, and he was anything but scared, but it was his king speaking and he had to obey. Signa went silent and looked towards the ground. Kestrel walked back over to Rena and let her take his arm. He felt more in control just having her near.

Aithorn looked at Kestrel smiling. "Yes this is important for you just as much as us." he said looking at Signa. He could feel the cold smile Signa was wearing, and it worried him. "And the crystals were activated a while ago. I don't know if he is bluffing, but they have found a way to sneak in here before..." said Aithorn. Amore was getting a little restful and she could feel Signa smiling too. Punching him in the stomach she frowned. "What's so funny Signa" she said. Signa gave no reply. "Aithorn can we get this over with?" asked Kestrel. Aithorn nodded as they headed towards town square. The time they would arrive would be at sunset. Street lights would be turned on after dark lighting up the area, but they wouldn't be at maximum power.

As the neared the town square Signa said something in a language only known to him and the knights. Amore pushed him towards the other side of the square. Signa breathed hard absorbing all the shadows he could before breaking the shackles. There was a time before the street lights turned on and it was slightly darker than usual and feint blue lines appeared. The lights turned on revealing the Knight of Sin. Klow stepped up showing she would be in charge of negotiations. "Bet your wondering how we are alive aren't you Aithorn" she said smiling. Aithorn smirked. "Slightly, but I enjoy having people to beat up." he responded. She played with her hair showing her boredom. "Well cut to the point. We will train Kestrel in the Realm of darkness. You people are doing it wrong. If this continues Kestrel will never be strong enough to fight without Vesperus." she said. Kestrel looked at them. "It's not safe for me in the realm of darkness." he answered. Klow looked at him. "You got a better idea?" she asked. Kestrel thought for a little bit, but Aithorn spoke before he did. "You can't have him. You may be trying to deliver him straight to Pandorous." he interrupted.

"Guess or word kinda is...worthless with what happened in the past. But you know it to be true. He isn't getting any stronger. The amount he is displaying now is what he already had to begin with. He needs darkness to get stronger. Vesperus saw this and he called us." said Rok."I won't deny it" said Kestrel in a strange tone."Aithorn the sparring was fun, but if you want a warrior hand the boy over to them." One eye turned back to green. "Don't I have a say in the matter?" asked Kestrel. "I don't want to leave Rena." he said. Klow smiled brightly. "Young love!" she exclaimed. Signa stepped up kicked her out of the way with his hands in his pockets. "You would have to be the love emotion...But we don't have alot of options or time." said Signa. "So If you guys can't think of one well have to take Kestrel by force" he said looking across the square at the group.

...I'll just keep beating you tougher.

User ImageHumanity cannot stand reality,

Instinct took over as Signa insulted her and Rena's eyes turned glowing white. But before she could even think about what she was going to say or do, Kestrel walked up to Signa and punched him to protect her. The sight of how weak the punch is made her eyes return to their former blue. Rubbing her eyes, she took Kestrel's arm as she tried to focus on her eyes and what was going on around her. She could feel the crystals, they were old and didn't automatically fire anymore. In her mind, that might be a good reason for why they can sneak in so easily. That or they're just sneaky little turds.

Sighing, she pushed her bangs out of her eyes as they continued to the square. Waiting a moment for Signa to speak garbled words like an infant, three more figures finally joined them. One she remembered the face but not his name. He had swallowed a child during the last war. She glared at him while she listened the banter between everyone. Such light banter for such a tense area, this truly was civil relations at its finest. But as civil as it may be, her heart beat increased as they said they wanted to take Kestrel to the dark realm. Her outwardly appearance was calm, but her thoughts went into overdrive at the thought of him leaving.

'Vesperus?' Rena thought and pulled her arm a little bit out of the crook of Kestrel's arm until they returned to their natural green. Now she knew how she must have looked with the changing of eye colors, except Celeste's were a light gray. Imperceptibly shaking her head of its thoughts, she tried not to feel happy as Kestrel declared to stay with her. she said simply as she turned to Kestrel and smiled. "They're being honest and you know it. You once said that you wanted to protect me, but we both know you can't exactly do that at the moment. Though putrid little cretins, they're your best shot at standing a chance of fighting Pandorous."

Internally, Rena thanked Celeste for knowing how to be calm when she didn't feel like that on the inside. Placing her palm on the side of his face, she let out a little sad laugh as she looked at him. "Go and come back strong enough to cast darker shadows in Alexandria. That will be proof of your growth." she said as she disentangled her arm from his. Leaning up, she gave him a quick kiss on the lips before taking a step back and motioning for him to join the Knights. "Signa, if he comes back any less of a man, I will find you and I will personally ensure to your torture for the rest of eternity. You can hold me to that." she said with a cruel sadistic smile.

but what happens when reality fails to be real and leaves you in the void of your dreams?

Why do I feel so strange, as if...

Aithorn looked at Rena. She was trusting Kestrel to the Knights. She had never led them wrong before, but he didn't know if this was truly Celeste and her or just Rena. He would have to trust her. This really was his best bet of getting stronger. "Go and get stronger Kestrel. I'll be looking forward to a rematch." he said smiling. Amore looked at him surprised. "Your letting him go?" she exclaimed. Aithorn nodded. "Rena is right. This is his chance to become something more" he answered. Amore looked at Kestrel. Kestrel blushed and smiled at Rena. "You get stronger too Rena. And Aithorn don't let anything happen to her! I'll come back I promise!" he said as he backed up next to the Knights. He pulled out his guitar and played a part from the song he played for Rena at the concert. Smiling a darkness crept up and the vanished.

Aithorn turned to Rena. "You sure your going to be alright kid?" he said putting his arm on her shoulder as they walked back to the castle. "Not even Celeste was unreadable all the time" said Amore. They walked back to the castle and the guards opened the gates. The town would probably feel a little safer now that Kestrel was gone, but he knew it would affect Rena at least for a little bit. But she would still need to train. In the dark realm they were on a cliff over looking most of the realm. Kestrel was quiet and a little depressed. Rok was as well. "So that's what it is" said Signa. Sitting next to him he smiled. "You'll be back there in a little bit Man! don't be down like this over a girl." he said laughing. Kestrel glared at him. "Ouch I'm anger remember! I can feel that" he said punching him lightly on the shoulder. "Well I know something that might cheer you up!" he said. "We are going back to your home world. You were right its not safe here...but your world is somewhere they wouldn't think to look for us right away."

Kestrel looked at him. "Seriously? That plan isn't half bad" said Kestrel. Signa laughed loudly. "I know you thought of it" he said. Klow was in the corner drawing circles. "Its almost done..." she said. Suddenly the circle lit up. Signa walked in first and Klow followed. The other members followed, and then Kestrel. As he walked through he saw his city. They were on a tall building. Signa laughed. He looked behind him and saw the two members from his band. "We've been looking over you" said Klow who now looked like Roxy. Kestrel shook his head. "No wonder...you guys seemed more familiar than anyone else." said Kestrel. They all were in their human forms. Rok looked like a really buff guy, and Lock had long hair that covered his eyes. He recognized them all. Rok protected him against a bully when he was just starting school. He looked really scary back then, and he was surprised that he helped him.

...There was something I was supposed to tell you.

User ImageThose who dream by day are cognizant of many things...

Rena was fighting against the urge to bite her lip. She was nervous that those idiotic Knights wouldn't take care of Kestrel and that he wouldn't return, but he promised so she had to leave it at that. She kept her smile though as he played a little bit of the song for her before disappearing. May someone help him, cause there was no way she would be able to go through this upcoming war without him. Sighing, she kept staring at where the darkness took him before she heard Aithorn at her side. Of course he was concerned, but she didn't care so much at the moment.

"Thanks Aithorn, but I'll live. He'll come back and then we'll join forces to take care of Pandorous as planned. That's what you wanted right?" She couldn't help but put some bite into her words. He wanted her queen and to fight for their side. He also didn't like Kestrel because Kestrel was once Vesperus. Sure he cooperated, but she knew he didn't necessarily like doing so but did because he knew it would make her cooperate. He might have a kind and pure heart, but Aithorn wasn't one to comfort a teenage girl whose technical boyfriend and/or soul mate just got taken away.

Closing her eyes as she walked, she only opened them because she felt them nearing the castle. 'I'm going to train extra hard and fast to make time speed up till he gets here. Cause even if he's darkness, he at least brought some more light to Alexandria for me.' she thought to herself as she shrugged off Aithorn's arm and sped up her pace. She wanted to just go to her room, shower, and then go to bed. Celeste might know a bit about how to comfort her, or at least that's what she hoped. After all, who could comfort her better than herself?

...which escape those who dream only by night.

War is not its own end, except in some catastrophic slide into absolute damnation...

He was only trying to help Rena. He felt the bite more than she knew. Sadly he let her go and walk away. He didn't know what to say to her. Hopefully Amore would. She was better at things that then she was. Aithron looked at Amore. "See what you can do I have some things I need to take care of" he said walking away. Amore was worried about Aithorn and Rena. They were both a little down in the dumps. Her herself was surprised to see herself turn on Kestrel so fast. When she thought he summoned the knight the only thing she want him to do was leave. Now that he was gone he saw how much Rena needed him around. Following Rena she got there as the door closed. Knocking she didn't know if Rena could hear her. "I'm sorry...I know you must hate us, but we have the best in mind for you." she said resting her head on the door. Seeing Rena wasn't going to open the door she walked away.

Amore felt terrible. She was exhausted too as well though. Making her way to the room she got in her night gown after her shower and laid in the bed. Aithorn joined her a little later and took a shower as well. Sitting on the bed Amore sat up. "So could you doing anything hun?" he asked. "She just needs time to think" said Amore. Aithorn wished that he could have trained Kestrel here for Rena's sake, but there was no other way. "Well we better get some sleep. Rena's training will resume tomorrow" he said laying town and putting his arm around Amore as he drifted off to sleep.

Jumping back and forth on the walls in the alley they made their way off the rooftop. "This town is all ours to train in. Your not tired are you Kestrel? The night gives you energy!" said Ragn. He was short, but loud. "I've never been able to sleep well at night. But in the day I sleep. Good thing classes were easy. But its sad to know all the friends I had outside of school were you guys. Makes it seem like I can't make friends" he said laughing. Lock punched him in the side and looked off. "I think you hurt his feelings" said Signa smiling. "You're Jealousy I take it" said Kestrel looking at Lock. "Well anyways! What do we start with?" Signa smiled and ran towards Kestrel punching him in the face. The punch hurt like crazy. Stumbling Kestrel raised his fist. Rok came from behind and raised his arms. Kestrel was barely able to dodge as the giant smashed a crater into the ground.

"We won't hold back like Aithorn" said Klow smiling. She ran up and kicked rapidly sweeping his feet and axe kicking him in the stomach slamming him into the ground. Rolling out of the way as Rok tried to smashed him again. Lock snatched his shoulders standing him up and spun whipping him across the face with a loose arm. Kestrel struggled to stand up and raised his fist as purple glew in his eyes. Running towards the group he launched into the air. Kicking Rok in the face he launched off the kick and spun kinking Signa in the face. After that he spun again and punched Lock in the stomach. Placing the other hand on the ground he lifted his body and kicked Ragn in the face. This fight continued until Kestrel could barely stand. Signa yawned. "I think that's good enough for tonight. You're covered in bruises and it's embarrassing."

...It's peace that's wanted. Some better peace than the one you started with.

User ImageI may be small,

Rena felt guilty about treating Aithorn and Amore they way she did, but how would they understand her? They were together and comfortable with themselves. She was sharing a mind with the embodiment of light who loved a man that she was beginning to develop feelings for his reincarnation because of their past love. Homesickness and thoughts of her family missing her made her heart want to break. And finally add in teenage hormones - female teenage hormones at that - and she was at her wits end. She was just one explosion away from crying herself dead in a corner.

Stripping from her armor, she slipped into bed after putting on a thin nightgown. Punching the pillow, she stared at the ceiling until her mind was so tired of thinking and holding back tears that she fell asleep. "Rena..." Celeste said as the picture became clear. They were at her old home, empty of people but still home. "Hi..." Rena replied as she looked around for signs of her family. Celeste shook her head as Rena searched the rooms and found no one. "Rena, this is just a manifestation of your home in your mind. It's not real. But please come here, I must speak with you." she said calmly.

Rena returned and sat on her father's lounge chair and curled up in a ball as she looked at Celeste. How a woman could look so regal on an old couch was beyond her, but Celeste pulled it off with finesse. Celeste waited a moment before she spoke to make sure she had Rena's attention. "Rena, you must apologize to Aithorn and Amore in the morning. I'll go to them and explain everything, but you are light. You are pure and kind. Your heart might hurt now, but you know as well as I that it is not their fault. Calm yourself, because if you don't, Kestrel will have to fight more to protect you and that will end up with him hurt. You don't want that, so pull yourself together and act as the part you were born for. It's difficult now but with time it will get better." she said with a soft sad smile as she looked at Rena tense at her words.

"What would you know about it Celeste? I hold your memories in my mind. You knew what was happening to you the entire time. I was ripped from my home, given feelings I don't understand, and am told to rule a land that I know not of! It's been only two days, give me time to adjust. I'm sorry for being this way, but just understand that time is the best balm for a painful heart." Rena said as she tried to let herself relax. Celeste, at least, nodded her head in understanding and sent Rena into a peaceful slumber with dream to lift her spirit. Now it was time to pull two sleeping minds together. An easier task if it was light outside, but dreams were almost as good.

Pulling together the throne room, Celeste sat as the sleeping minds of Aithorn and Amore entered her dream world. Smiling, she stood and hugged them both. Oh how they had grown and fulfilled even her highest of expectations. They were sad though, which was why she had pulled them here. "Hello dears. Now I only have little time before Rena wakes with the morning light so please hear me out. I know Rena's words and actions sting, but she has been placed in a situation that evokes more emotions than she can handle. Away from home and those she loves, told she has a rough and high expectation, and the one person she could lean on has been taken away from her with no promise of his safety. I told her it would okay to send him away, but my love of Vesperus makes the loss even more real. Give her time and patience please..." she said as her form began to flicker. Morning light was coming and Rena's mind was reacting to the fresh light.

Focusing, Celeste fought against Rena's waking mind to pull back to Aithorn and Amore. "My dear friends, before I go I wanted you to know how proud I am of you two. You truly are the best people in Alexandria and I trust you to take care of Rena. I love you both very much but am sad to say I must go now. Remember, things can only go up when you're at a low place. Bye my friends." she said as Rena finally woke up and shattered Aithorn and Amore's shared dream. Rubbing her eyes, Rena went to the bathroom to clean up before she changed into clean clothes and began to make her way to the kitchen with a rumbling stomach.

but my conviction will overpower even the mountains of power.

War is not its own end, except in some catastrophic slide into absolute damnation...

Aithorn woke up to see Amore was already up and dressed. She was getting her hair ready. Standing up he stretched and yawned. They didn't need to talk about the dream. They knew that they both had the same one. "So I was thinking we could show Rena around Alexandria today" he said. Amore turned to him and smiled. "That would be a great idea. It is still considered training even if its knowledge shell be gaining." she said smiling. Aithorn took a towel and headed towards the shower. "Its settled then." he said. "Well take the dragons, and at the end well take her to see Valkenhien." He took a quick shower and put on his clothes, and armor. Walking down the hallways holding Amore's hand he stepped into the dinning hall. The chefs were almost done cooking. Rena walked in and looked tired still. "Morning Rena" he said taking a seat next to Amore's. Amore sat in her seat leaving Aithorn's seat all too Rena. He waited for her to sit down.

"No heavy training today. How about a tour of Alexandria?" he asked as the food was brought to them. Amore smiled. "You'll get the best view from the sky" She and Aithorn were great at dragon riding, but Amore a bit more than Aithorn. Her father was the head of the dragon knights so it was only natural. They ate breakfast, and waited for Rena's response. It would be nice to take a break and relax for a day. It had been very stressful as of late. They kingdom would be safe for a day. And there are always people on patrol. If something happened everyone would be alerted at one.

The morning after the fight was painful. His body was still sore even with his healing ability. Rok opened the door and ducked in, but got stuck. Breaking the door frame he walked over to the bed. "I was awake you know? You didn't have to break ANOTHER door!" he yelled not wanting to get up. Rok picked him up and slung him over his shoulder. "You must eat or you won't heal properly." he said. "Then how can we resume training?" Rok carried him out of the room as Kestrel's stomach growled. They were in his apartment. Klow was cooking up a storm in the kitchen. He had never seen anyone move that fast before. It was a flash of white shirt and red hair. "Almost done boys!" she yelled. Rok dropped him in a seat on the table. In a flash there were three plates of food in front of him. "Eat up!" she yelled. Kestrel reluctantly ate the food. He expected it to taste awful, but it was probably the best thing he had eaten in a long time. It was spicy just the way he liked his food and the eggs were doused with pepper. He could get used to them knowing exactly what he was thinking. Though sometimes a little secrecy was nice. "So how did you sleep?" asked Signa. Kestrel looked at him. "Actually pretty darn good. Who knew getting your a** kicked could tire you out so bad?" he said sarcastically.

...It's peace that's wanted. Some better peace than the one you started with.

Like one hundred morbid whispers, her throne room filled with hushed moans and final utterances gone unheard. O the dead, how she couldn't live without them! A swirling void pulsed and grew repeatedly until it was about three feet tall. With all her presence, Pandorous stepped through with her chin rising highly and her thoughts brooding lowly. Her lip twitched as she snarled and marched toward a wall before murmuring a spell that sent that multi-spectral void in front of her, eliminating the wall that would have got in her way as she commanded that it materialize into a makeshift balcony. Fingers wrapped against the rail and she clenched and twisted her hands on it, relishing in the sound of tortured souls as her eyes softened with transient thoughts of malevolence. How else was a Queen of Darkness supposed to unwind after being betrayed by one of her best commanders. And to think I was going to promote her after this mission, she scoffed. What is Darkness in the Light? she asked herself, while her languid eyes scintillated with a green and black flash.

Like gripping a handle of a motorcycle, she made her balcony pursue Acedia before hopping back into her throne room. That turquoise-haired traitor would answer her question and she prayed that Acedia would melt into a pile of moist decomposition - that she would know her error and kill herself. After all, what would the realm of light want with her? Her sword was yet another and not a remote match for Pandorous', at least that's what the disgruntled queen thought.

Next subject, she thought while pushing her back into her throne of bones, hearing the bones break, sigh, and reconstruct themselves to her comfort. Infiltrating the Realm of Light... Hm, I've always wanted my reunion with the other surface to be in different circumstances. They probably have those damned runes established. I need the element of surprise... And thus she thought, breaking the bones of the dead when she was frustrated and waiting for Acedia to get her bony butt to her throne room.

When the darkness bounds us to lost memories..

When Pandorous released herself from her grasp Acedia held her composure and helped herself up carefully with a slightly heavier breathing. At least her shoulder will heal later from the power of darkness around her. That she was thankful for.Even so her mind was caught on thoughts of why her mind told her to save Kestrel,or the former Vesperus. What is this strange feeling that surrounds his being? One thing was for certain through all of this, something big is going to happen and it was going to happen faster than anyone would think.Something is completely wrong. For know the only thing to save her is to hold her ground.

Not even minutes later she had been moved to the throne room with Pandorous with her evilness seeping into everything within reach. As her piercing purple eyes staring across to her queen she erased the confusing ideals in her mind for the time being. All her queen could see was the young assassin with the blood stained on her shoulder."What is it you wish for me to do my demonic queen." she asked with a calm, velvet voice as she bent down on to one knee with her head lowered like a knight.

Rena walked into a very unexpected surprise as she stepped into the dining hall. Aithorn and Amore seemed quite serene for people who's emotions were down trodden. Blinking, she also couldn't believe that Aithorn let her have his seat after making a huff about it the day prior. "Am I in the twilight zone?" she asked incredulously as she slowly made her way to her seat, wary that something or somebody might jump out and crash this odd scene. But everything stayed as it was as she settled into the seat, casting odd glances at the couple.

Reaching out to take a piece of fruit while she waited for the chefs to finish breakfast, she picked meagerly at the fruit as she listened to Aithorn. Food interrupted it all for a moment for which she was glad. It was odd that they say she needs to train and get stronger only to say she gets to take the day off and tour the land. Raze. She'll blame him for sticking her in a twilight like dream. Pinching herself under the table, she discovered it was in fact real and that the two were probably trying to forget about everything that happened yesterday. "A tour sounds nice, but I just wanted to say I'm sorry for my words and actions yesterday. It wasn't fair to either of you that I lashed out for things not your fault." she said, looking them both in the eye before they dropped to her plate.

Rena ate as much as her emotionally upset stomach would allow. Her dreams made her mood much better, but her stomach was still being funny duddy. Finishing off the last bite she could handle, she pushed her plate away and sipped at her goblet of juice as she raised her eyes to the two of them. Something was at the edges of their mind that she could pick up on. Not that she intended to read their minds, it was just something that happened that she knew not how to control. "I'm meeting Valkenheim today aren't I? And maybe Cid and Azura?" she asked as she watched them with calm eyes. Within her blue eyes, silvery gray speckles could now be seen, a side effect of her memories conjoining with Celeste's.

Then throw it in the face of the person who gave you the lemons until they give you the oranges you originally asked for.

War is not its own end, except in some catastrophic slide into absolute damnation...

Aithorn smiled. "It's fine we were all under a little bit of stress." he said. "Apology accepted." said Amore. The food finally arrived and not a moment to soon. Everyone was starving. Aithorn tore into his food finishing it quicker than anyone else. It was a lot quieter without Kestrel which was something he loathed. He hated silence. Amore looked at Rena. "And here I was hoping we would have a little longer before you established that power. Now we have to be careful what we think as well." said Amore elbowing Aithorn in the side. Aithorn blushed and cleared his throat. "Anyways...yes we will be seeing them today. Cid said he would try to make time for us, but he has to do his rounds today so he'll see what he could do. Azura said she would miss it for the world." he said as he wiped his mouth with a cloth. Standing up he saw that the two were finally done with their meal. "You'll be riding with Amore." he said looking at his wife. Amore nodded. It had been a while since she had got to cut loose when riding. Rena was in for the ride of her life.

Amore stood up excited. "Come on!" she said smiling brightly. She barely waited for Rena to answer before grabbing her arm and taking off towards the balcony. Raising her sword into the air it shone brightly in a pattern. A roar was heard in the distance as the sound of beating wings got louder and louder. Suddenly a magnificent dragon landed on the balcony. Amore petted it and it sheltered her with a wing. Aithorn caught up laughing. "I haven't seen her this excited to go riding in a while. She must want to show off to you Rena" he said as he raised his sword into the air as his dragon appeared as well. "I'm going to go on ahead" said AIthorn jumping on his dragon. Riding off he waved to Rena.

Amore and Aithorn had a surprise for the queen. Now all Amore had to do is keep her mind blank. Getting on the dragon she reached her hand out to Rena to help her on.

Walking down the street Kestrel was glad to be in his old clothes. This place still looking the same. The knight's of sin were in their human forms, but they still seemed out of place. "I hate it when people stare" said Klow. Signa laughed but gave no reply. "So you got us a gig?" said Kestrel. "I hope I can still play." Signa put a hand on his shoulder. "It will come to you. And as you play you get stronger. Music is what gave Vesperus his strength." said Lock talking for the first time. Kestrel looked at him surprised. Signa nodded. "It's gonna be a little bit different then what your used to though..." said Rok. As they walked into where the gig was supposed to be Kestrel's eyes widened. It was a huge arena. It probably sat at least 10,000 people. "We are the opening band, but we are going to make the other band look like crap!" yelled Signa. Kestrel was actually excited. They had a huge advantage with his weapon. That thing could make the sky cry lightning. Kestrel smirked. "Let's do it!"

...It's peace that's wanted. Some better peace than the one you started with.

User ImageNever look back on your past, for what happened then can no longer be changed.

"I'm sorry..." Rena stammered out as she realized they might feel invaded by her entering their heads. "I don't try to intrude, I promise. It just started happened when I first fully spoke to Kestrel and things just kinda slip in without my realizing... I'm sorry." she said as she looked down a second, But then the thought of meeting her past and their excitement began to get to her and she smiled again. For a fraction of a second, she was worried about Amore's steering of the dragon, but she knew she'd be okay.

Her arm might not be as she was towed towards the outside of the castle. Laughing as she almost tripped, she regained her composure and tried her best to keep up with Amore. For a woman of her age, she had so much energy. Stopping finally, she wondered why they summoned their dragons with swords. Didn't they have telepathic links with their dragons? What was significant with the swords? Not that mattered, but she was always the curious child. And curiosity of course didn't kill the cat. The cat must have lived and told of its war stories with curiosity, but never lost curiosity. Plus if it killed the cat, Rena would have been dead by now from curiosity as well.

Hopping onto the back of the dragon, Rena couldn't help but get the vague impression of something amazing in store for her in the near future. She didn't quite know what, but instead she focused on not falling off the dragon. Amore knew how to fly and fly fast. The landscape zoomed underneath them and the wind tore at her hair and clothing. It was exhilarating and made adrenaline pump through her veins like an espresso shot in her coffee. Both made the same affect, but this was so much better.

Look forward towards your future, for that is what is in your control.
