The weak can never forgive...
Driving his 69 GTO Kestrel made his way down the street. His guitar and equipment rattled in the back seats. He arrived at school kind of late, but he always rolled in just in the nick of time. Walking into the school he got into class just as the late bell rang. The class was already ready to start the lesson and had their books out. No one really paid attention to him since he was always late. Walking to his desk he pulled out his notebook. He wasn't going to pay attention in the class, but he could at least make it look like he was. He started drawing demons, and other weird creatures. He was a great artist. One of his best pictures were of a giant monster that ate earth. People were always asking where he got his ideas from, and he never had a real excuse. His notebook was full of pictures and no notes. Suddenly he blanked out and started drawing a flame. Before he noticed what he was doing the whole page was full of it. Draw with a green pen.
Balling up the paper he threw it in the garbage that wasn't to far from his desk. He was just waiting for the bell to ring so he could get to work. He had to hand out cards for his band that played at a bar downtown. It was a good venue so they played there often. he spaced past the rest of the class and grabbed his bag opening it and straightening the cards so he could hand them out easier. Walking into the hallways of busy kids, paper airplanes, and the occasional fight he passed out the cards to students and into lockers if needed. Finally he got to a group of girls and saw a girl he remembered. She was always the top of the classes and sort of the schools idol. He knew she probably wouldn't want to go, but he'd give her one too. As he walked up he adjusted his hat and handed one to every girl in the group.
"Your Rena right" he said acting if he didn't know who she was. "Here ya go." He handed her one. "Hope to see you all there" he said walking away to hand out more cards. He couldn't stay close to her to long for some reason. He always got all shaky and weird around her. Finally he ran out of cards. His band wasn't to bad so he expected to see a lot of the people there.
...Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.

People say that beauty and brains don't mix,Classes were passing Rena by, making her day long and tedious. The first few were always the worst. Who wanted to pay attention to calculus or advanced physics early the morning? The sun was barely shining for pity's sake! But she was a good girl who didn't want to disappoint her parents with bad grades. Un-glazing her eyes, she took diligent notes on subjects she'd never need to remember after she left high school. There really was no point in how they set up the curriculum for high schoolers around the nation, but she'd try to fix that when she became a Senator.
Gathering her things as the bell rang, she walked with her friends, laughing that their crazed conversation about a new hot actor. They looked to her for approval, so she nodded her head, made a small comment, and stopped in her tracks when she saw the bad boy of the school. Turning away with a look that she didn't notice him, he walked up to them, spoke to her while giving her a card, then left just as fast. Her friends were swooning for Kestrel, making comments about how cool it'd be to snag the bad boy hottie. "Please, he doesn't have the time of day for anyone but himself." she said with a flip of her hair and a dazzling smile.
Of course Rena's friends agreed with pouts as they dispersed to go to their lockers, giving her plenty of time to calm herself. She always felt funny and faint-like around Kestrel, but she put it up to them being complete opposites. She strove to be the best and never slacked off, doing the good thing when she could. He was the bad boy who never did a good thing and slacked off to the point he had it perfected. They would never be able to stand being anything to each other but acquaintances from school. And with that thought, she sent a mass text to her friends saying they'd go to the performance. She needed a way to test her theory after all.
School dragged on longer than she could ever remember, but soon it was over and she rushed home as fast as she could in her Toyota Supra. Going to a bar band concert was not her forte, so what to wear was definitely in question. After much debate and throwing of clothes around her room to the point where it looked like a tornado hit it, she decided to wear a white dress with black leggings and heels. Hopefully with it she wouldn't stand out too much. Once ready, she picked up a few friends and drove off to the bar. Rena didn't stand out too much in the bar, a fact she was quite thankful for. Sitting at a rounded corner table on the booth side, her smiling gaze caught Kestre's before she looked away, acting like she hadn't seen him. but I'm the girl that proves them all wrong.

Victorious warriors win first and then go to war...
Walking down the hallways he listened to his assistant talk about the town and how peaceful things were. Thats all that they ever said, but he knew that something was going on down there. There is no way that the ones ruling this world would let that stay the way it was. But now that he was the king he had to listen to whatever the council deemed important. Often it was the same news. He began to miss his old life as the queens knight. But as a king he had his wife Amore. He was happy for the first time in a long time. He would have to thank the queen when they met again. Aithorn had spaced out and noticed that the assistant had finally stopped. He smiled and nodded. "So everything is good. Same as always" he said. "Kai is waiting in the throne room for you was well" said the assistant. Aithorn took a more serious face. His Knight Kai had always been like him, but took his job too far.
The remaining demons that were left after were to be left alone since they posed no real threat, but Kai believed they should totally level the city. He was reminded of when the queen stopped him from going through with an attack on the city long ago. Walking into the throne room he saw Kai standing there looking out the window. Amore was out visiting the city so they were the only ones in the throne room. "You can't go down there Kai" he said. "If if we start another war with the dark all of light will be held responsible for your actions." It felt weird saying that. Made him feel old. He was old but he still looked like he did when he was young. Looking at him he wondered what he was thinking. He wasn't a mind reader like his queen

Kai looked at Aithorn from the corner of his eyes. Soon after, he closed the, Took a deep breath and turn to face him and bowing down. "I'f I may speak freely my lord?" He was respectful of his king, But did not agre with his soft methods. This was the fault of that damn queen he thought. For th sake of peace, They should be down there, finishing off the evil vermin....Once...and for all.

Pandorous, scantily clad as usual, leaned out of her throne. Her abysmally black eyes glared at her council as she placed her pen tall, black raven's feather pen into her rough drafts of the ultimate tool. She placed it on the armrest before pinching the bridge of her nose and looking onto five of her most esteemed knights. "You truly have the audacity to ask me if I've found a way back to the surface yet! Perhaps Vesperus was on to something when he made me from his industrious hatred she complained mentally before rising.
Signa, the leader of the venerable group, stepped forward. "My Queen-" He shirked at how her eyes scintillated a neon green. "Err, I mean Incipient Empress of All That Is." He paused, tapping one of his head horns onto his rib protrusions - a habit he picked up once he began thinking for himself. "Couldn't I just call you-" Immediately, she flung her arm toward him, a thread of concentrated, green flame wrapped around his neck and she reeled him in like a tape measure. Within seconds, she was staring down at him. "You have two options," she said, first to him, before looking at the group, "Call me Pandorous or Incipient Empress of All That Is. I tell you over and over!" She kicked his skull, hurdling him toward the close knit group of demon like an angry bowling ball, making them all fall from shortest to tallest. "Ugh! All brawn but no brain! I am not just the Queen of Darkness. I'm why there needs to be light in the first place - I am not half of anything. I am why there is a need for light at all!" Before the mender of all demonic situations, Klow, could apologize for the group's impudence, the queen lassoed them together by their feet and flung them out, letting their heads slam into the wall. After rising, they slammed the door, much to the queen's disdain.
She rose from the secondhand throne while the flames bounced around the room until they hit her horns. One would think that being open with one's subjects would create a great foundation of greatness but it was rather troublesome since her subjects always had questions. But at the very least, their black hearts were in the right place: where darkness was the elixir to all woes and light was the pestilence.
Next, she went over to the bookshelves shoved against the walls. No being had seen the actual walls since Vesperus left. The former librarian redecorated for her own convenience, in a way to spite the dead entity. In order to beckon the wisdom given to her, she pulled out the slim book of descriptions and began to read. "To uncover truths beyond light and dark, one must transcend and have seen the end, seen the start, and know the twixts bound to set them apart. Wisdom isn't white nor black by an osseous shade of gray, much like dead muscle long left to decay. Come to me biased darkness to assist in light's blossoming starkness." The book glowed a fluroscent green before an orb tore from the aura. The queen closed the book and by the time she turned around, the footless entity stood with his arms crossed and blamed the lack of progress on her.
"Young One, not only are you disorganized but your writer's block is because of where you're writing," said the manifested walking wealth of euphimisms. "Your place should be in Origin." Pandorous grimaced at the condescending entity before dismissing it with the snap of her fingers before it go on and on
"Razta mahn!" she shouted loudly in a Jamaican accent before being face to face her favorite of all Knights. "One, I have reason to believe you're creating tension in my knights. Second, you'll supervise the kingdom as Acedia and I-" Just as she sensed defiance from him, she slapped him, flinging the demon across the room. "I've had enough displays of independent thought today," she warned lately before quickly placing a boot on his chest before he could get up. "I'll need you to supervise the kingdom, prep the guard, get that lazy a** army into shape. We're headed for wartime."
Irritated beyond belief, she beckoned Acedia while collecting her supplies. One way or another, I'll get to that damn realm.

Sometimes I feel a darkness driving me...
Behind the stage him and his bad were getting ready. The equipment was all set up all they had to do is wait fifteen minutes after when they were supposed to play. It was always the thing to do when you were in a band. The later you were the better. They were headlining so the other local bands played a little before they were supposed to go on. Kestrel was sitting drinking some water listening to his band talk about the nice turn out. "Even Rena showed up!" said one. Kestrel was surprised as he looked out and caught Rena's eyes for a moment before she looked away. She had never gone to any of his other shows. He was starting to feel a little nervous, and for some reason felt this better be the best show of their lives. Even though he knew they would do fine anyways. They remembered what song they were playing first and the stage helpers brought them their guitars. The drummer who was the only girl in the band walked out first.
On the base drum read the bands name "Kings of Oblivion" the drum started off slow with a standard beat and smiled at the crowd. Her contacts glowing yellow in the dark. Then suddenly she went crazy fast in a flurry of symbol hits shaking her head as her hair flung around. Hitting a symbol hard the lights went off."Got this one from a dream!" yelled Kestrel. Suddenly with a flash of light everyone was on stage and started to play. They spent more money on their instruments than anything. Then Kestrel began to sing after his band mates sang the first part.
"cause When the lights are down There's no more to say Love is the real pain An internal revolution in my minds And when the lights are down You're so far away Tell me your real name In the silence of the darkness we unite"
The rest of the song went off without any problems. As he smiled looking into the audience. The stage effects were top notch, which was why they loved this venue so much. After the crowd started to quiet down. they played about three more sounds that were dark like the other, but then Kestrel starting playing something a little softer.
"Let's a make a wish Easy one That you are not the only one And someone's there next to you holding your hand Make a wish You'll be fine Nothing's gonna let you down Someone's there next to you holding you now Someone's there next to you holding you Along the paths you walk"
Kestrel looked directly at Rena for some reason when he said that. He knew her friends would get all creepy like they always did when he was around. Then he finished the rest of the song, and along with his band they left the stage. The crowd going wild. The bar was pretty big and the standing room was full. Sitting down his band smiled at him. "Man that was great. You had a lot more emotion than usual!" said Eric his bass player. "Must have been because Rena was here" said Roxy the drummer. Kestrel adjusted his hat. "Nah just felt good tonight. ya know?" They all laughed together. "Well lets go meet the fans" said Kestrel. Walking out into the groups the cheered giving them just enough room to move through.
...For now I will put that darkness into my music.

Victorious warriors win first and then go to war...
He could tell his knight wasn't in a good mood. He wondered if thats how he acted at that age. "You may speak your mind when ever you feel" he said making his way do his throne. "I don't like people acting formal around me anyways." He knew that it would be about the underworld. He was always talking about it. And maybe a little recon couldn't hurt...He would probably have to send someone else though. He knew his knight would find some just reason why the entire city had to be destroyed.

Darkness haunts me wherever I go...Rena sat back with a slight bored look crossing her face as a few bands played mediocre songs. They weren't dreadful, but nothing worth leaving her home for. At the very least one of the bands had a cute guitarist who she caught the eye of. Silent flirting? Yeah, that most definitely happened. But she would never date someone in a band; it wasn't her type of guy to date. Most of the time they seemed too intense and more content with their music than finding a "muse". But whatever, she was here to see Kestrel's band.
Around her people buzzed with excitement and curiosity. She could feel them wondering why she, the goody goody queen bee of the school, would be going to a bar to see the bad boy's band show. Rumors were definitely going to culminate from tonight, but those types of things were easily put to rest when she decided to fully speak. Authoritative tones were her specialty when she decided to use them. 'Here we go.' she thought to herself as the sight of the drummer on stage took her away from her inner thoughts and feelings.
The music was hypnotic. Rena didn't know if it were the beat or the lyrics, but something made goosebumps rise and spread over her body. Kestrel didn't help the matter. During one of the softer ballads, it seemed as though he sang the lyrics to her. That wasn't possible since they didn't know each other well enough to say anything to the other, but her friends didn't let that stop them from gossipying about who the stare was actually too. Their swooning made Rena roll her eyes and smile for she knew they'd never get his attention. They only advantage they had was that the other girls moved out of their way since they were her friends.
"Come on Rena! Let's go talk to them!" Her friend Amy said as she pulled on her arm to drag her with the crowd surrounding the band.
With a laugh, she let herself get pulled along as she and her friends cut through the crowd. Popularity definitely had its benefits. All of her friends buzzed with excitement as they attempted to drape themselves upon the band members. Rena, however, held back to give the members some privacy bubble. "Y'all had a very cool show tonight. Too bad I missed the others." she complimented as her eyes tried to focus on any member other than Kestrel. He was giving her that funny feeling he always did and she was not liking that fact. at least until I open my eyes to the light reality around me.

Kai Liftd his head and looked his Kind straight in the eyes. " Why must we show mercy to scum? Do you think that those monsters will show us the same respect? Their out there you know? Taking their time to rest, waiting for a hint a weakness from the kingdom. So then why is it that my king...Not order me to do my most important duty as his knight? Protect the people Lord Aithorn. Those are your very own views....views which I respect. Have you perhaps have had a change of heart?" Kai spoke with anger in his voice. Being careful not to raise his tone with the king Aithorn.

Why do I feel so strange, as if...
The crowds seem to just want to take them away, and someone tried to snag Kestrel's hate. That man sadly got a fist instead and a shove out of the crowd. As he rejoined his band members he noticed that the fan girls had arrived. His base played loved the attention. Kestrel just hoped no one tried to touch his hat. Adjust his hat like he always did before conversation he took two fingers and his thumb straightening it. Looking at Rena he was surprised but thought it was nice she wasn't like the other band loving girls that threw themselves at him. Smiling her listened to Rena but noticed she was trying to avoid eye contact. He looked straight at her waiting for that feeling to return. That feeling that he needed to say something, but couldn't. Finally when he caught her eye it returned and he covered his eyes with his hat. "Thanks, you know your free to come any future shows as well" he said smiling.
Roxy whispered something to Eric and he laughed covering his mouth. "Sounds like a plan to me" he said as he walked up to Kestrel. "Hey man Roxy said she forgot to snag your pick back stage" he whispered. Kestrel opened his eye wide. That was his prized pick and he had it custom made from something he drew. Kestrel turned to Rena and the other girls. "I'll be right back ladies." he said walking off to get back stage. Roxy walked up to Rena and smiled. "Looks like I had the pick after all" she said, "Would you mind taking this too Kestrel? Me and Eric have to pack up some of the things in the lot into the van. She placed it in her hand and made she she held on to it before her and Eric walked off and dissapeared into the crowd. Kestrel was back stage looking quite intently for his missing pick.
...There was something I was supposed to tell you.

Victorious warriors win first and then go to war...
Aithorn closed his eyes taking in all that Kai was saying. He was using his own words against him. "Because it is not what the queen would have me do...I was foolish to think that the balance did not need to be kept. Without evil people would not die, they would become rich powerful. Then when we don't expect it it will turn to greed, hate, jealously, and spiral out of control." he answered. He opened his eyes and looked at his knight. "I promised the queen I would be a wise ruler until she returns. But we have guards watching the gate, and area around the city. If something happens we will know about it" Aithorn stood up and walked over to his knight. "When the time comes for us to fight...and I'm sure it will. I need you to be ready. This is an eternal struggle we all must participate in"
"Until then why not live a little? If all you do is worry about an attack your going to look older than me someday. Leave the worrying to me." he said putting a hand on Kai's shoulder. "Now go we will talk again soon."

Humanity cannot stand reality,Only an eyebrow raised as Kestrel punched a man for trying to take his hat. Rena thought it was an unorthodox punishment, but who said the bad boy had to be orthodox? It'd be more surprising if he gave his hat away to a stranger, especially a male stranger. "A personal invitation? I'm thrilled." she said sarcastically to Kestrel as their eyes met. Goosebumps re-emerged upon her skin, making her rub her arm slightly as though she were cold. She really wanted to know why he had that affect on her, but she lost her chance. Why a pick was so important, she'd never know. They were cheap to get at the music store in town, but it wasn't her place to question the musician.
Watching him go, she had an odd feeling from Roxy that they were being set up. Her thoughts were confirmed when Roxy miraculously remembered that she had the pick and that instead of going back stage, she should send a random person, Rena, to give it back to Kestrel. 'I wonder if Kestrel orchestrated this to find a way to either mock me or just shatter his bad boy persona.' she thought as her friends tried to ask for the pick from her. Shooing them away, they turned their sights on an easier target for their chatter, the base guitarist. They circled the poor boy, practically trying to rip off his clothing. Why she was friends with them, she didn't know. They were cool to talk to, but the fan craze at the moment made her think of them as lunatics.
Shaking her head with a slight laugh, Rena looked towards the back of the bar with an internal sigh. Gathering up her will power, she walked to the back room only to see things strewn about as Kestrel searched for his pick. Clearing her throat, she walked half of the way to him before stopping, not wanting to get too close. "Roxy had this the whole time so she sent me to return it to you. She probably knew she had it the whole time." she said as she held out his pick towards him. Her words implied her thoughts of him setting this up, but only her thoughts revealed that full idea. He, of course, couldn't read her thoughts so she was safe within her own slightly erratic mind. By the time she went to bed, everything would return to normal... hopefully. If not, sleeping pills always blurred her mind enough back to its normal lull. but what happens when reality fails to be real and leaves you in the void of your dreams?

Its ok to lose yourself in the music...
As he looked around viciously for his lost pick he was interrupted by the voice of Rena behind him. He had made quite a mess in the back stage room and he knew the stage crew would complain about it. He looked at her and smiled as he reached out for the pick. As their hands brush he felt the urge to hold her hand but fought against it and only came back with the pick. "That really doesn't sounds like something Roxy would do." he said scratching his head as he put the pick in his pocket, and looked at her. "But getting us alone does sound like something she would do" he said. He didn't mind it she was an attractive girl, but he knew the head of the class and goody toe shoes wouldn't give the bad boy a chance. He always felt a connection to her that he couldn't explain, but it would come out stalker if he ever said it to her.
"For the strangest reason I feel like I've know you for a long time..." he thought as he wanted to say it. He really wanted to say it because something told him he was right. Before he noticed it he was starring at her. He turned away and apologized. "So you really liked the show?" he said wondering if she remembered he accidental look at her. He saw her friends reaction, but he didn't see hers. He started putting up some of the stuff he had thrown around in the search for his pick. He was also looking for something. Finally he found it. Picking it up he walked back over to her and put something around her neck. It was a plastic string with their band emblem on it with backstage across it. On the other side was a bar code. "That will get you into any of our shows with the band." He wouldn't say it, but it made him really happy that she came to one of his shows.
Before the show he had a feeling she would be there. He didn't know why, but it was almost a sense. He could tell from her emotions what she would do. It scared him almost as much of the dreams he had been having. When he told his friends about it they laughed and said it would make a good song name. They got most of their song from his dreams. It was both a blessing and a curse. He had to go through the nightmares, but it made them decent money. "Your friends sure are something." he said referring outside to the girl who had claimed his base's shirt.
...It's when you come back to reality that you get bothered.

When the darkness bounds us to lost memories..Walking in the streets of the underworld there was no point in trying to do anything but wait.It was only earlier that Acedia had been given information from a lower class demon from Pandorous to meet up with her. With only little time time to be patient she decided to head towards the throne room of her queen. It was only a matter of time where she would see someone letting the temper get the better of them, but then again she didn't really expect it to be Klow. With her short cuts around the area she managed to make it in time to listen to the argument before she was asked to come inside herself. Her purple eyes glanced over at the knights with a bit of sympathy but instantly disregarded it.If they didn't want to get hurt they would listen to their queen with every ounce of hearing.
Hearing her time to walk in she gave Pandorous a quick minute to regain her composure, well at least a bit, before she walked in.Acedia never liked to deal with other drama but then again the only kind she had to deal with was from the queen. With a grae of no other besides her lead assassin Acedia moved into the door making nothing but the slightest sound. The lighting had given her a glowing purple eye effect.Instantly without hesitation she bowed to her mighty queen as her hair fell to the side of her face."I am here awaiting for your commands Pandorous."Acedia said smoothly as she recovered to stand up and watch her queen as she collected her supplies.Pandorous knew she was quick about things but knew Acedia was ready for anything she could throw at her. ..it never makes us any stronger.
